Is it already on the list of future enhancements to allow the «volume limit» setting to be changed through the api? This is something I would really like to see…..
The volume limit API was one of the first settings to be cloud-only (I think to make it admin-only), and like 70% of the cloud API it’s not documented. You can reverse engineer it if you really want to use it.

Where can we find this setting for the Volume Limit?
It cannot be found under the settings, what are we missing here?
Like its now only possible to VIEW the limit - not change it.
Are you referring to developer API access or normal consumer access?
If the latter, it’s under Settings - groom/speaker] - Volume Limit. (Fully adjustable with the slider.)
If the former, I’ll step away…
When we open the WebApp: https://play.sonos.com/en-us/settings
And go to settings there is no room / speaker section only system details.
There we can view the limit but not set it?

Yes, we know its possible via the App.
But we need it via API/Web since users on-site will have no rights for the sonos app. (Account login)
Are you referring to “Guest Access”? I don’t know whether the following comprises the volume limit setting as well.
Guest access: This option controls whether devices to the same WiFi network as your Sonos system can control playback, volume, and group configuration without needing admin-level access. When disabled, only authenticated or authorized users can control the system.
The default setting of these settings are:
- Authentication is off by default
- UPNP is on by default
- Guest Access is on by default
Enabling/Disabling them may affect how certain third-party apps or legacy components interact with your system. We’re making you aware of them so you can choose to enable them if you’re looking to apply additional security controls and are not relying on features such as UPnP.

No, the web app isn’t exactly full-featured.
However, the web app still needs an account login, the same credentials as the Sonos app, so unclear as to the distinction.

Well with the WebApp we can login remotely from the main office and set the limit for new speakers. Or if wishes change Tried the options via the Local API but they are gone with the V2 as i wrote online
