Every time I need to switch by arc (wired via ethernet)  and wireless connection to twp Play 3s from Music to the audio from a projector / appletv I have so many problems. Usually have to unplug all cables and power and reset.  any ideas?  I am running the earc signal through a Cable Matters extractor with earc.

thank. yes I have autoplay enabled.  I will try the voice control. never used that.

With Autoplay enabled, it should be switching back to TV audio when it is detected.

I previously used an HDFury Arcana when I first got an Arc, prior to upgrading the TV. Probably had to do some troubleshooting a handful of times in 6mths if no sound was coming from the Arc after turning on TV. Potentially just disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable from the eARC Out on the Cable Matters extractor will re-establish the TV audio on the Sonos Arc. Although in the most severe cases, disconnecting all cables and rebooting the extractor were the recommended troubleshooting steps.

Another possible way to restore TV audio after a music stream has stopped, is just to increase the volume on the Arc using a remote. That can switch the source back to TV audio.

Check that you have TV Autoplay enabled under the Arc’s room settings.

If you have Sonos Voice Control enabled on the Arc, you can also just say “Hey Sonos, television” to switch back to TV audio.
