I was finally able to get my Sonos One onto the network with my new router, after calling Sonos Support.

I have added Amazon Music and SiriusXM as Content Services. When I ask Alexa to play Channel 31 on SiriusXM, Alexa says “playing Channel 31 on SiriusXM,” but doesn’t play anything. Similarly it tells me playing (selection name) on Amazon music, and plays nothing. If I use the Sonos app to select a song from Sirius or Amazon, the speaker Does play it.

Also when waking Alexa, the Sonos One does not chime, the white light just flashes, which is unusual. How to fix these glitches?

You could disable then re-enable the Sonos skill in the Alexa app.

Re-enable the Sonos skill

Open the Alexa app and select the More menu in the bottom right. Go to Skills & Games > Your Skills > Sonos > Disable Skill. Once disabled, choose Enable Skill.

Oh that worked, Alexa is controlling Amazon Music & Sirius on the Sonos One by voice. Still does not chime when I say the Alexa wake word, but guess I can live with that.

However Alexa is not controlling Sonos Radio by voice, don’t know why. It tells me to enable Sonos skill in Alexa and then looks for the new device (the Sonos One) but doesn’t find it.

I’d try rebooting the One to see if that fixes the lack of chime. That may also help resolve the latter issue with Alexa voice commands too.
