Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Am I the only one who complains about the extremely useless wifi settings of Sonos and their constant failure? Playbar has become a real pain in the neck. It has messed up both my wifi settings and my modem's settings and each of the 10 different Sonos devices needs to be set up again. I am really fed up with it. It is not user friendly at all. I wish I could get a Samsung soundbar and solve the cinema problem like this, it would be both cheaper and more user friendly. Moderator Note: Changed the wording of the thread title. I just purchased an Arc Ultra.  I am using Apple TV 4K box on a Bravia 7 tv.  The sound quality and volume is noticeably different when using the Google Tv interface instead of Apple TV.  Any thoughts ?

After buying a Sonos system & upgrading my soundbar to a Arc Ultra I found restrictions with being able to use my Bose headphones with my LG Tv, due to hdmi setting on the tv  defaulting back to the Sonos hdmi arc output, I did find a work around but this isn’t how a system that you paid high dollars for that should work flawlessly with all your devices.After contacting both Sonos & LG Electronics I had no joy, they both palmed me off to each other to rectify the problem.I bit the bullet & thinking buying the Sonos Ace will be completely compatible, they will be happy as they have made a sale, I would have a flawlessly working set of headphones that works without any problems.Alas, I was wrong, the volume when listening to the TV is way too low, I’m hard of hearing, I wear hearing aids, I wanted the headphones to work equally as my Bose, JBL headphones in volume, unfortunately there’s no setting that allows you to raise the volume, so I just shelled

My Sonos Ace (Headphones) are connected to my iPhone, but I'm not getting any sound. They show as connected, and I’ve updated them in the Sonos app and tried disconnecting and reconnecting several times. However, they work fine when connected to my laptop for Teams calls.Does anyone have any suggestions? Could it be related to the latest Apple update?

Helloi used to have my playbar connected and everything was going great. Connected to tv and playing music via Spotify until one day it does not show up on Spotify app. tried everything and decided to reset to factory setting. Now the Sonos app does not identify my bar. I connected with ethernet cable the bar and router and nothing.  Contacted Sonos support and live chat with a guy who tells me that the problem is my phone setting with allow access to microphone. Asked me to go to setting, privacy, microphone and toggle the Sonos app. The problem is the Sonos app does not appear. Same issue on other devices. Live chat guy sent me a link how to set a bar and got disconnected. Nice support. so here I am asking the community. my playbar still has its green light flashing and still plugged with ethernet cable. I reset modem, router etc. Still nothing. Becoming desperate and close to give up. 

Hi Folks - Sonos user for many years.  I bring my laptop to my office every day - and connect to my Sonos One there, then bring it home in the evening/weekends and connect to my system here.  There’s never been an issue, as it automatically recognizes where it is/which system it is.  Until I got a new router at home last week that is.  Now, I’m having to reset the router every time in each location to “find” the existing network.I’m sure it’s something obvious, but help!  :)

My soundcloud content is not shown/recognised by Sonos app since 2 days ago! Before I used it all the time and suddenly it stops to show my soundcloud content! Anyone with same problem? I tried uninstalling both apps/ reboot modem/ reboot sonos device/ removing soundcloud sercice and adding again!! Nothing works. 

I am very surprised that I can’t schedule an alarm with my radio or my music using my system, which consists of two Era 300 speakers. Moreover, I don’t see any option to adjust the balance between the two speakers. Did I miss something, or is the app stuck in the 1980s?

I am currently still on Android 16.1 as in May 2024 I stopped all updates to app, along with updates to desktop controller (Windows) and Sonos devices (several Sonos Play 1, Move, Connect:Amp and Beam). I mainly stream radio and listen to my own library on NAS. I have read many threads but haven’t seen anything within the last 4 months or so that indicates whether or not the functionality is now at least back to where it was pre-May 2024, or if there are still issues (e.g. with playlist management and album art from NAS libraries). Appreciate any views on this, and also if it is considered now back to full functionality, is there an order is which the 3 updates (devices, desktop controller, Android app) should be done?

As you can see in the picture, I have a breakfast bar with a pretty good view.I LOVE sitting here with guests, drinking wine and talking shite.I LOVE my Sonos sound, too, BUT, I cannot get a good sound with a pair of ones at the window end of the breakfast bar. I think they’re just to close and the stereo sound doesn’t propagate well enough, or something. It just sounds pretty poor.The pair of speakers I have are out of sight on the photo and provide great sound, but the sound is coming from behind me and I’d LIKE some sound to come from in front of me. Where the kitchen roll is.I want to set up a system that cannot currently work together, a centre speaker on the BBar and the two existing behind and to the sides.Can this be set up for sound only, and not tv?Common sense says, get a Beam, but honestly, a Beam or Ray isn’t required for this. A single One or Three would do the job and I have a spare one.

I had my touch controls on Arc Ultra, Era 300 etc. disabled.I am trying to update the Wifi Settings after changing SSID / WPA Password.The Audio PIN Works, but using the Touch Buttons to confirm the device it does not continue.I assume it is because I previously had touch controls disabled.Is this a security feature or a bug?

A Beam Gen 2 and 2 Era’s for surrounds.  Doesn’t matter what content you’re watching, as soon as background music stops playing, the voices are much more quiet.  The only solution I’ve been able to come up with is to pause the video playing for a second or two them resume playback.  All of a sudden everything is back to normal.  I already use voice enhancement to make it louder and have night sounds turned off.  I believe this to be a software issue.  What do you think?

If I am posting a new topic when I could have done so in an existing one, I apologize, but there didn’t seem to be an option to post a new thread in an existing topic.My wife purchased an Arc Ultra, Gen 4 Sub and 2 Era 300 speakers for home theater.We are in the middle of a remodel, and from what I have read, we have made some decisions (irreversible) that are NOT optimal for our home theater setup, so I’m asking here in the hopes of salvaging what we can (yeah, I know it’s still going to be incredible, but dammmmm).(1) The TV will be above a fireplace, so about 5’ off the ground and the Arc will go between the mantle and the bottom of the TV(2) room dims are roughly 20’X18’ BUT we vaulted the ceiling, so it’s 8’ at TV wall and 8’ at the back wall but center of room above our couch will be about 13’.(3) looks like sub will go in a cabinet behind the couch in a window seat.This means the arc will be maybe 5’ off the floor and mayb e 2.5’ abov

I  have recently noticed that my sonos media library has dropped tracks from albums after track 09 ?The album tracks are in the folders on the NASI checked the tags using MP3tag, My NAS media server software recognizes and plays all the tracks on the album and they appear in the Album & artist views correctly. However, The Sonos shows that whilst all the tracks are in the folder view only the first 9 tracks appear in the Sonos Album or Artist views, the rest of the tracks are missing and they are also missing from Search. I deleted the Sonos Media Library and re-added it with the same result Anyone else noticed that they are missing the tracks at the end of albums?I have only noticed this behaviour after the last few updatesCurrently  the OS on the devices is 82.3-60160It happens with theAndroid  v80.15.01IPAD    v80.14.09  (later version not avail yet in my region)and PC ver

Hello. I am trying to get my Sonos Connect Amp 2 Gen to work better with Apple Airplay. I came across the Eve Play and thought it would be a plug & play setup, but it´s not working. I have connected the Eve Play to the Sonos Connect Amp through the Audio In plugs. Does anyone have the same setup / anyone using Eve Play against the Connect Amp?

Hi, I ran update yesterday which seemed to hang/load for ages, and then eventually said about half of my speakers could not be updated, ran again and said my system was up to date. Going into the app my media room zone (two fives connected to a one) are no longer listed in the app at all.  Unligging and repowering them, they flash white then solid white looking like they are connected to WiFi but and completely unresponsive, Alexi not activating. my living room (beam, surrounds and sub) is saying not connected. I've similarly repowered the devices and reset my router.

Sonos S1 will not find the system using a new iPad Air but works fine with existing iPhones. Anyone know of this and do you have a solution.

When playing album in Sonos iPad, album art (embedded and also in album folder as ‘folder.jpg), displays properly. Sonos ‘Recently Played’ displays name of album, but no album art is displayed. Any assistance most appreciated. 

I recently purchased Sonos products because of the wireless connectivity. I have an Arc sound bar, Gen3 Sub and two Era100 speakers. It all sounds fairly decent although my biggest issue is having to use the app to control everything. Half the time it doesn’t connect and when it does you struggle finding the sound slide to turn down the music. Basically it’s very troublesome, until they can figure out how to improve on the app as a controller I’m only slightly satisfied with my purchase.
