Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Does anyone know how to connect Klipsch the Sevens, to the Sonos Port?  

I made a mistake and transferred the patio Sonos amp to the Living Room amp through an option presented on the Sonos app and didn’t realize the living room amp was unplugged. Now I am trying to restore the amp back to the patio and can not seem to make this change. 

Hi allI have a Samsung UE55AU8000 TV, which is connected a Ray via optical cable. I use the Plex app on the TV to watch my movies, which are stored on my Synology DS224+ NAS. My movie collection is encoded with HEVC. I like a lot of old films from the 40s and 50s and many of these have AAC Mono audio. When I play one, there is no sound from the Ray :( To get sound, I have to go in to the TV Settings > Sound > Expert Settings, and change Digital Output Audio Format from ‘Auto’ to ‘PCM’ and I’m getting really fed up of having to do this.  Can someone explain:The reason for this; I’d expect mono to be a fairly simple thing to deal with, and regardless of how many speakers there are, they should all simply play the same mono signal. Would that not be a better solution? If my solution is the correct one, if not, is there another way of dealing with this? Please can someone explain me how the mobile app works (or actually does not work)???Each time I open it, if I want to access some of the settings, I have to login to my Sonos account… So I login… I then have access to some of the settings but for example if I want to add a device, I am asked to login… But I am already login!!!! Then I have a message that I have to login as the owner of the system…I found a “ transfert ownership” feature… I did the process with, at least, two logins involved but still the same nonsense: I cannot access to some settings and I am repeatedly asked to login as the owner of the system!!!Of course when I am logged in either in the app or on the web site… There is no way to register a product or a system.Sound quality of your products are very good but honestly the app the worst I had to experienced in ages.Anyways, if someone is able to tell me how to register my product and/or how to have access to all the app features, I’ll really be grateful;

Did the new update change the UI for the app when selecting a music source for a specific room?  

I use a couple Sonos at work, and wanted to check on the volume limit because it felt louder than normal. I cannot find the volume limit or EQ on the Roam??? There is EQ for the Sonos One SL's but no volume limit either?I'll have to check my home system when I get off work. But have anyone else had this issue? 

I recently jumped on the Sonos bandwagon with the Arc Ultra, Sub-4, and a couple of Era-300 (happy happy happy).But I just noticed that Google Assistant is not listed as an assistant I can install from the app.Is this just because it is new or something?

Please don’t give me BS answer “ oh you can use whatever platform”. I have set my preferred to you tube music and when i say hey sonos play _______ it plays it on Spotify!??? whyyyyyyyy it’s so frustrating. Sonos stop pushing services on me. it’s bad enough i can’t use my own sources lag free but you guys are making me choose a music platform too like c’mon!  

Thought I would post this here in case it helps anyone else.About 4ish months ago my Spotify Connect stopped working suddenly, this is the main way I use my Sonos so this was particularly annoying. Hello,I have a Beam (gen 1) hooked up to my TV via HDMI arc input. I also have a pair of Play:5 (Gen 2) as surrounds. Been running this set up for a few years now to listen to music streamed via Deezer directly on the Sonos app and watching TV,. I also have Sonos dotted around the house and sometimes link the speakers up to play the same music throughout the house. No issues and fairly happy with this… until now! I have recently acquired a Musical Fidelity E100 integrated amplifier with multiple inputs, which is an ‘old school’ late 90’s amplifier (75W per channel), with a matching CD player and external Digital to analogue converter (DAC) Unit I am told that the amplifier was, in it’s day, a high end piece of kit. I wired in some passive speakers of a nondescript brand and have LOVED listening to my old CD’s since. It is wired as CD player>DAC>Amp>Speakers. I was really surprised to find the sound quality of this older setup compared to streaming Deezer through the pair of 5’

The manual says to turn the collar counter clockwise in order to swivel but is it so tight I don’t want to break it. Anyone have the same issue?? I searched on YouTube and no one else seems to have this issue..

I don’t see a way to turn off music overnight.  I’ve left music on outside before and my neighbors didn’t appreciate it. The best idea i have is to plug my Sonos amp into a timed outlet.  This will force the zone to be off during established quiet hours.   is there a better way to do this?

Hi all! I listen to a lot of music with my Arc Ultra, Era 300s, and Sub Gen 2. While I felt like the system doesn’t fully reach its potential due to the nerfed Era 300s, I was still quite happy with how it handles music overall (coming from the OG Arc + Symfonisk Bookshelf Speakers). That said, I was never a big fan of setting Music Playback to "Full" in the Surround Settings. To me, it always sounded a bit muffled and echoey, whereas "Ambient" had a much better, more balanced sound.Over the past few months, I’ve done multiple Trueplay tunings, and after the latest update, I decided to do it again. And then, just for a moment, I disabled Trueplay while having Music Playback set to "Full"—and wow! The difference was huge. The sound was clearer, more open, and way more enjoyable than with trueplay "on" or ambient.So I switched back to "Ambient", which, in my opinion, clearly sounds better with Trueplay ON. I recently migrated my music library to Plex, which I thought was going to be nice because access to my music library is available as a “Music Service” in the Sonos S1 controller.I have some very large smart playlists (thousands of tracks).  I ran into the “20 second timeout” issue that Sonos S1 apparently has when loading a playlist.  If I cut my smart playlist roughly in half, it loads fine, so I’m pretty sure it’s the timeout issue that’s causing the problem.  I don’t think that it’s related to the length of the playlist, as I have no problem going into my music library and shuffling the entire library, which is many many more songs than what I’m currently trying to load from Plex.I was wondering if anyone that has experience with the SonoPhone app knows how it handles very large Plex playlists?

I have recently changed router and have gone through the pain of having to factory reset 4 x Play 1 and a Soundbar. The Play 3 will not factory reset but I will figure that out. When I reset the Port using the SONSO App it has been added to a new system rather than adding it to the one with the Play 1s and Play bar, even though it is on the same wi-fi network. Resetting the port was a painful process as it is buried at the back of a cabinet. Is there a way to move the Port from one system to another? I have had SONOS for over 11 years and I am seriously close to getting rid of it.

Had two Era 100 Pro’s installed today but the installer and I cannot figure out how to get them working properly for surround sound. Can I use a PoE switch w/o the uplink OR do I have to use PoE Injectors and a switch combo to get the Pros into wireless mode? The installed had a 65W 5-Port GB switch with 802.3af/at PoE+ ports, 30W max per Port 65W total for all PoE+ ports. Thanks

But for those in the know, it might not be the gift it once promised to be. The closed ecosystem, plagued by frustrating app issues and missing features, has left many Sonos users feeling like they're trapped in an endless loop of troubleshooting instead of enjoying their music. Is there a way to use a Sonos Move (or any other SONOS speaker) with a wireless headset that communicates via a USB drive to a battery pack for use teaching fitness classes?

As it stands I am still missing a large number of Sonos custom playlists on my Android device. I have an Apple device and can see all of the playlists within the app on this device. I can also see all of the playlists within the Windows desktop app. The issue is related to the Android version of the app. Has anyone else come across this or found a resolution? My only work-around which actually didn't work was to use the windows desktop app, and add the missing playlists as Favourites. This shows the name of the playlist on my Android device but does not play the songs within it.  Does anyone know if a fix for this is even on the road map? Or do I have to just use an IOS device to play SONOS content comfortably? This is really frustrating!! 

Feature request:From today’s firmware update on my system….When an update fails, is it possible to include the name of the device that failed? When I went back, an hour later, to run it a second time, it told me one of my Subs hadn’t updated properly, and I needed to run the update process again, which I did, and was successful. So apparently there is some data existing that identifies which device didn’t update properly, or it wouldn’t have shown me the Sub needed updating. All I’m asking is to show that data at the ‘update failed’ time, in addition to the current ‘this device needs updating’ time. If it matters to anyone, I did run a diagnostic after the failure part. But not one after the success, since I’m not sure it would have been helpful. 

I have a stereo pair of Ones grouped into a room with a Sub Gen 3. When I start a new track / stream manually from the Sonos app, or from Alexa, Amazon Music or Plex the track starts playing on all speakers, then about 1-2 seconds in the Sub stops whilst other speakers continue. The Sub then starts playing again about 5 seconds later for 3-5 seconds then cuts out again for a similar period. After approx 25 seconds the sub plays as expected. This only happens when staring a new stream from somewhere. Once the stream is playing then the Sub maintains its connection ok, so symptomatic of a failure to buffer audio data successfully. I tried switching all 11 of my Sonos devices off Sonos Net, assigning static IPs, factory resetting the Sub, joining in different groups. Even using the Sub on its own exhibits the same behaviour. The speaker is approx 4ft from a mesh network node, so I'd feel 95% sure that this is a Sonos problem rather than anything to do with my network. At this point all I

Does anybody have any experience with this enclosure/mount for the Era 100?  I would miss access to the touch controls, but it looks like a neat way to make the speaker unobtrusive.I’m curious about the sound quality of the Era 100s vs. the Amp with the in ceiling speakers.

I have been messing around with various configurations for connections with my Sonos amp and would the outcomes experiences and see what other users have done.My Current Setup:Sonos amp Project Debut EVO 2 Schitt Mani 2 phono Pre Amp  Tangent CDII RCA switch box to feed both the Evo & Tangent in via the RCA line in on the AMP. B&W 606 Speakers (These occasionally are set as surrounds for an ARC which is my main TV sound output, but are predominantly for music use only)This has been my setup for the last few years and i was very happy. However, I recently upgraded to the Project EVO with the Schitt Mani 2 from a Project T1 phono with built in pre amp. When i did this  I found I had to adjust the line level down to 8 get the best sound from the turntable, but would need to increase it back to level 10 for the CDII.
