Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

How is it 2025 and the Sonos Roam doesn’t have the ability to ROAM between multiple WiFi networks? I like to take my Roam between my house and my partners house without the need to manually reset/change the wireless connection. Surely this should’ve been implemented by now, judging by feature request threads from 2023 :( 

Just after people’s thoughts on the above topic, now that Pinewood is dead in the water. I have a Beam 2 with Sub Mini and Era 100 Rear Surrounds, with a spare pair of E100. Just watched a vid on YouTube by neverenoughtech showing Sonoseqencr adding Fronts to a soundbar, sure enough, they pop up as fronts in S2, they also seem to disable L/R on the Beam. It seems to be a future feature not developed yet, can’t help feel it will be written out on a future update, now that pinewoood has gone ?. Does anyone have any views on this feature.look forward to comments !

Had gotten my music library connected via my Mac controller several months ago but today out of the blue it stopped working. Dead. “Unable to play...access to \\iMac\Music denied” Re-entered same original settings but no luck. “Sonos was unable to load the music folder… check the username and/or password”Username & password are indeed correct but no go. So frustrating! 

My Sonos move has become disconnected from my Wi-Fi. As a result, it’s no longer showing in the App either . I’m having issues getting it reconnected. Please does anyone have any ideas ? I’ve not been able to perform a factory reset. As yet I’m at a loss and beginning to wonder if it will ever work again 😭

Hello,Is Sonos really trying to see how bad the software can be before people stop using the products?The app & software is so bad to start with but now I have run into an issue that is horrible, even by Sonos subpar standards:I am not able to use the app & soundsystem since the app refuses to update and doesnt let me use the app without the updated version. The only messgae that appears on the app is "there was a problem checking for updates".  Obviously, the customer service doesnt respond and there isnt any representatives online on the chat. And no, there is no error code.  

I routinely get “connection timed out” when simply trying to use Apple Music from Sonos.  Sometimes it it when I have been using airplay (YouTube… or Apple Music because I can’t use it from Sonos) but there is no pattern that I can identify.  I have tried shutting down, rebooting which sometimes works but the same problem reappears eventually 

What does the below mean?I need to run an update according to the app and I can’t get access to the app until the software is updated.“There was a problem checking for updates”

CD player is connected to Sonos Controller Line In, but the app says no device is connected. I tried rebooting, and updating, but no luck. I’ve used this for years, but yesterday it it stopped. How can I get Sonos to discover my device? 

I just invested in the arc ultra + sub 4 + 2 x era 300 surrounds.I'm a little underwhelmed by the front sound of the arc ultra.  Linked to this I need to have the system volume at around 55 to get a 'normal volume' The overall tone of the front of the system is a bit boxy and doesn't seem to fit well with the sub and surroundsIs this normal? Or could there be an issue with my ultra. I just set up a samsung q990d for a friend and power wise its blowing my set up away. 

What is described in this reddit thread for the Arc Ultra, happens with my Arc system with movies/tv for some time now. Background sounds are very quiet but dialogue is fine and any loud sounds like gunshots, explosions are ok too.It wasn’t always like this, remember it being very atmospheric and detailed.Any ideas how to fix this? First things first. This is not a rant. This is an expalation of a problem, which reduces the experience in 3D audio a lot. For background: I'm a sound engineer and music producer and I don't wanna sound arrogant, but I know what I'm talking about. Before I made the switch I was on the 16.1 app and firmware. So I don't know if the Ultra causes the problem or the app/firmware. Hello - with a recent Sonos upgrade I have lost the link to my Mac Music Library.  I have spent about 4 hours on the phone to Sonos without success and wonder whether is something that has gone wrong with the path.  If there are any Mac experts out there who could take a look at this set up and advise whether there is something wrong I’d be very grateful. 

Hi, I don't know if anyone else is totally frustrated with the New Sonos app as I am, but I have two questions. One, is anyone able to edit their playlist? My list keeps duplicating songs, so I have multiple songs with 2, 3, 4, and 5 duplicates. And I can't delete them. Two, has anyone found an alternative system they have moved their system to that is working for them?

When I connect a Bluetooth device to my arc ultra speaker, after about 5 to 10 seconds it kicks it off and goes back to the arc ultra speaker. I’ve tried many  times, have been not successful a few. It seems random. What do I need to do to keep my Bluetooth device which is a headphone to stay until I exit it myself.

I was actually able to cast Dolby Atmos to Sonos via the Hi-Fi Cast app. But the weird thing is, the Dolby Atmos indicator doesn't show up in the "Sources" section of the Sonos app.So my question is, when I cast Dolby Atmos to Sonos via the Hi-Fi Cast app, does it cast the Dolby Atmos audio downmixed to stereo?

I've verified that I can stream Dolby Atmos through Apple Music on the Sonos app. Does Plex on the Sonos app work as well?

Bonjour,Depuis les dernières mises à jour des contrôleurs pour mon Sonos Move 1 j'ai des gros souci de décalage entre mon PC (streaming avec Qobuz) et mon enceinte.Cela n'était pas le cas auparavant, ni avec mon iMac ni avec mon PC. Le son sur le Sonos démarre parfois plusieurs secondes après avoir lancé une piste musicale, c’est vraiment pénible.Et ce problème ne concerne que mon Sonos Move 1 car j'ai essayé le streaming bluetooth depuis mon PC avec d'autres enceintes (Philips BT-100 ou JBL Boombox) et il n'y a absolument aucun problème.Donc, ce n'est pas un problème avec le bluetooth de mon ordinateur.Pourriez-vous m'apporter une solution? Hi everyone I’ve recently brought a symfonisk I’m pretty sure it’s generation 2 I’m using the sonos app but it keeps telling me to log in although I’m already logged in, I’m trying to add Spotify to my account has anyone got any suggestions? 

Roam won’t respond to power button, nor does it show the red light at the base when plugged in. Any ideas?

Custom streams are still extremely difficult to manage.One can add custom streams to the TuneIn library via the TuneIn app. These then show up inside the Sonos TuneIn ‘New’ Service. From there, those streams can in turn be added to Sonos favorites. However, unlike the old interface from the ‘Pre-Update’ Sonos App, there’s now no way to assign a friendly name to custom streams.Is anyone aware of a way to do this, or is it scheduled to be fixed? This was functionality we had before that has now been removed and degraded.

I want to create an alarm not based on time (e.g. 3 min or 4 min). I want the alarm to be a single song and once the song ends then the alarm stops. 

We were five days without power.i tried to turn it on yesterday. Both speaker power up but I had issues getting them to show up on app.one speaker Play1 is now showing consistently.but our main speaker Play 5 : 2nd generation comes and goes and now is not showing on app. But it is playing a radio station. So it is playing.i do not know what to do to get it to connect to the app. my frustrations are super high. Love the speaker, hating the system 

Products that are pure white or black do not give designers much to work with in most homes. Would like to see more attention paid to colorway aesthetics. A soundbar does not have to look so generic and unattractive. Perhaps a two-tone Arc Ultra in silver and gunmetal grey.
