Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Have iTunes library on NAS - can access and play songs by Songs, Artist, Album, etc. but Playlist does not work.  I see all Playlists and songs within in but when I try to play, I get message that says “unable to play song as share on NAS does not exist”.   Again, I can play songs by individual songs, albums, artist, genre but when trying to play songs in a playlist, get error message.

I have two Sonos SL speakers and was hoping to pair them up with Sonos Ray for my 2nd TV not as Surround speakers (it's an open plan room, so not possible to place them as surrounds) but as additional front speakers.

By far the most useful way I found to create a playlist was to build the songs in the queue, listen to them and shuffle the order until I was satisfied  and then save the playlist. will this capability be returning?

I saw a previous thread regarding this failure with burnt R37 on a Sonos sub main PCB, but it was closed perhaps due to inactivity. However, I was wondering if any other users also faced the same issue and possibly have an idea of the possible cause to this failure. I like to repair my unit, as the companion Sonos beam is still working fine. I bought the set in 2019, I have forgotten what generation that is, maybe someone here who is well versed with Sonos product could help me identify. Hope to receive some advice.

The new app is taking shape nicely and I'd say its now functionally almost matching the old app (and of course it looks better and is 'modern'). But there are still some little gripes that I'd like to feedback to Sonos:1) When entering the queue it takes you back to the top instead of where the current song is being played. Gets very tedious when you have a long list. Would love to see an Apple Music style queue where tracks already played are hidden but you can always scroll back if you want to replay that song thats stuck in your head again....and again.... and again… 2) When I want to play 'My station' from apple music on the home screen it always fails (error). I have to go to services > apple music and play it from there every time. Could be widespread to all stations but I haven't tried. Another little annoyance.  3) Album art seems to drop in and out of existence. 4) Search. When searching it would be great to set a service

The optical cable for my new Ray soundbar doesn’t “snap in” to either the soundbar or the TV. Even when pushed in hard. Pricarious connection, easily jostled out. 

I can start Spotifyplaylists playback on livingroom speakers, but after one or two songs, it just stops playing the next song. When I then manually skip to the next song, it will play it and then stop again.I tried re-adding/reauthorizing Spotify service but this didn’t help. I also don’t think its a networking/router issue since it plays fine after manually going to the next track. 

My Sonos 5: gen 2 is not connecting to my Wi-Fi.  I have tried everything, but still won’t connect.  any ideas?

I am running an android phone and installed the new app last week. Ever since, it has been taking 5 minutes or more just to start the app. It is unusable. I have tried clearing cache and clearing all data then connecting it again, but still no difference. The old app loaded in seconds. Is anyone else finding this?

I have an Apple Music playlist with approximately 1200 songs.  When I shuffle play the list on Sonos, it only utilizes the first 200’ish songs (alphabetically songs beginning with A-E).   How can I get Sonos to recognize and utilize the entire playlist?

Hi,question. Did anyone notice that their paired Sonos Era 100s (or possibly 300s) did not update properly?the app said I had firmware update for my devices (shame it does not list which devices, as for example my current WiFi setup includes a sub as well). The notification does not say what is being updated and there is no link to a post but, fine, I can spend time searching for a post when I’m Ona. Bathroom break, right? (I’m being a bit sarcastic here, though in reality, I can live with that unless something starts to act fidgety after the update).but, my system supposedly updated and now it shows that only one Era 100 has the current build installed. Pushing for updates within the app only gives me “your system is up to date” response - which is not true.I did restart the speakers and the sub - disconnected form power

Is there a way to disable in-app advertising?  Every time I open the app, there is an add right in the middle of the screen.  This space should be utilized for my most commonly used features.  Can you please make the advertisements opt-in?  Or at least move them away from the most precious real estate in the application?  I promise you, they are having the opposite effect of making me want to buy more of your products.

I’m watching a movie on Plex which shows it’s Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 and I’m sure it’s only stereo and the same thing watching YouTube videos. I'm sure those are also stereo. I’m wondering if I have a setting messed up in my App. Any ideas?

I’m building a new house and wife doesn’t want a soundbar near the frame tv. (She wants a clean  mantle for decorations..etc.    Would 6 In-Ceiling 8” Speakers by Sonos and Sonance wired to a SONOS AMP (inside built-in near TV) work?  I figured the TV’s eARC HDMI to AMP and phantom center with Trueplay would make the set up work.  I would have three speakers as left channel and three as right channel and the AMP set to mono.    No need for a crazy set up since we have a media room.  Living room would be for casual TV watching and sports.   Thanks in advance!  

Hello, This may be a bit bespoke, but I’ve brought my two old Play:5s (recently upgraded home) to the office and I want to make a wired setup through the ethernet (using the S1 app). As you know, I cannot do the initial setup through the company WiFi because Sonos will not work through wireless that requires a corporate login/password to connect. I swear I had this working several months ago, but I’ve moved offices and can’t get it working again. I know that I can create a hotspot on my computer run a Sonos network off that, but then how do I switch the connection to ethernet only? When I try connecting the ethernet to the Sonos and cut the hotspot the connection fails. I’ve talked to IT and they have no problem with me using the Sonos and they say there is nothing specific they are doing through the network to stop the connection so long as I can get it set up myself. They even gave me a gigabit switch they had laying around to run ethernet to both speakers. 

When is it planned to add support for RadioTunes/DI or customURL in S2? I am not referring to TuneIn - I don’t want to use another service to use another service, I want to use, directly, the URLs that RadioTunes offers me, although a proper integration would be better.

I have (2) move 2’s and one of them keeps losing connection. I have tried rebooting, changing to stereo, changing devices, changing channel. I would blame it on a connection issue but only one of them keeps doing it. I have a somewhat large music library of about 40000 tracks on a networked drive. Since May 2024 I have struggled to play segments of this library, on shuffle, using any combination of apps available to me. I have mobile (Android), desktop (Windows) and web.I don’t think I need to go into the performance of the mobile app (updated to most recent version).The desktop app, which I have been using as a failsafe since the library fix last fall, is finicky and has decided it wants to do a continuous loop of asking to update the firmware although I am on the latest version. When I say yes to updating it tells me I am updated already. I have to exit and re-open multiple times to get it to (re-)work correctly (often while music has already started playing).The web app currently works the best of the three for basic music functioning (play, forward, back, volume, skipping) BUT then the queue is useless as it does not keep up with what is currently playing - there is no t

Hi! Recently picked up the sonos ace and I’ve noticed some flaws….A really cool feature of the sonos ace ANC is how it turns off in low noise environments to reduce white noise. This is a great feature I think because I hate the white noise. However when the ANC kicks in, it sometimes makes a “pop” sound that can get a bit annoying. Is this normal for the headset? I notice it the most when I’m on my PC clicking the mouse, Also I’ve noticed a fair amount of clicking/poping sounds when moving around, the noises come from the hinge system as when I press on the headband the noises disappear. Very noticeable when running on a thread mil. Is this normal too?Both these issues are identical on both ears, which makes me think that it’s normal, just want to check if others have experienced the same :)Thanks for reading.

Trying to connect a Roam 2 to my tplink vr1600v without any luck.  No settings changed on the router, just the standard WPA/WPA personal security in 802.11b/g/n mixed mode. Has anyone had any luck doing this?  

I know that the Sonos does not want to give any support for Tunein therefore I’ve decided to try with SonosRadio, for which I hope Sonos IS RESPONSABLE of the development.But the problem is always the same. I try to listen to italian Radio24 station, but when it tries to connect to the streem it says “welcome to tunein” 😶. after that silence and then the same loop “welcome to tunein”.To find the radio go to “sonos radio” > explore radio > by place > Europe > Italy > Lombardia > Milano > Radio 24The diagnostic nuber is: **********.BTW, if I connect with Tunein app or the radio24 app, connected to the same wifi as my sonos beam, the streams work without any problem.Moderator edit: recorded and removed diagnostics number, combined posts.

I am trying to set up my new arc ultra, but I’m not able to get it to find my Play 5 GEN 2 speakers to use as my surround speakers.  I have tried resetting all the speakers and that didn’t work.  Can someone help me please.
