I have a Sonos system with 4 Play:1 speakers, a Sonos Sub, and a Playbar.

I recently bought another Playbar but I'm having trouble connecting it to my existing system. I have no prior experience setting up Sonos and need help figuring out how to do this.

Begin with a Factory Reset of the newly acquired PLAYBAR:

  • Power down PLAYBAR. Next, hold the Play/Pause button while applying power. Continue holding the button until the status light flashes orange and white. You can release the button and wait until the status light flashes green.

Now the PLAYBAR can be added to the existing system. Avoid setting up a new system at this point. While adding PLAYBAR to your system I recommend wiring it to your network. Once setup it can be wireless if you like.

Sonos uses room names to label and identify speakers and speaker sets, so your current Playbar may be in a room called Lounge. When setting up the new one, choose the appropriate room name from the list, or those labels can be edited to whatever you want.
