My son bar has been paired with my sub outwith the sonos app for two years. Now it does not work.Why does sonos punish the older systems. I had binned my sonos threes and ones as they were too difficult to use. The sub and the sound bar worked but now nothing on the sub. Two years without the sonos app now I'm punished by sonos agsin for not purchasing new equipment. A sad sad company

Have you submitted a diagnostics report and contacted Sonos support? 
Or, if you’re asking for help: tell us more than “it doesn’t work”. Is the system and app up-to-date? Do you get any error messages? Is the Playbar still working? Have you taken any steps to try to fix the issue?


I still use a couple of PLAY:3s (currently listening to them, running S2!), and also have a couple of gen 2 Subs, which work extremely well, assuming they’re getting an appropriate .1 signal (I’m always surprised in movies when they get exercised). Not so impressed with other shows that don’t really exercise them properly, but I suspect that has more to do with the mix being sent than the Sub itself. These devices have been in use many more than just two years, but are still outstanding, in my home.

I’d concur with ​@nik9669a in asking what steps have you taken to remedy the current issues you’re experiencing? 


My play 1s and 3s are working fine as are both my Gen 2 Subs, one on a Gen 1 Beam, the other on a pair of 300s.


I've lost trust in Sonos. I was agreat product but it has become so complicated to maintain. It is beyond my computer skills. So I'm  ow completely binning my last device. Thanks Sonos

Where are you binning them? I’ll take them from you if you’re nearby? 


Since the app debacle my system refused to work .I gave my 1's to friends and they had the same problem.

Venting as I don't have the skills to rectify the problems. Too complicated.
