Sonos will be working fine and then the app can’t find my speakers and prompts me to update my network. Which means I need to re-add my Sonos products. I set it up and a day or two later, same thing. It’s getting really time consuming and frustrating. Any suggestions?
Go to your router's DHCP Settings page and assign all Sonos static/reserved addresses.
Power down all Sonos, reboot router and controller then power up the So os.
When the system can’t be found, check that you are connected to the correct Wi-Fi.
Force closing and reopening Sonos app can sometimes be successful to get the system accessible again, without any further action.
Also if your mobile device uses Wi-Fi Assist, disable it.
I have the same problem. Why do we have to keep using these workarounds? Can’t Sonos fix the app?
Sonos has apparently been unable to fix the IP addressing issue for many, many years. It can’t possibly be related to the current App as the issue existed 10 plus years before the new App was even written.
I’m suspecting some issue deep in the open source code Sonos built the system on. They don’t discuss that and there is little information available on it but that is where the core network functions reside.
