Controllers and Music services

Albums and artists in my Apple Music library (on an iMac) are broken up in Sonos to multiple albums and artists with some tracks.  I thought that integrity in my library would be kept in Sonos.  What’s going on?

I searched the forum with no similar experiences. Am I the only one whose playlist editing disappeared with the new app? There isn’t even an Edit option anymore. I can’t add or delete individual songs for the current playlist. I can only replace the entire queue. It is the same for all music sources. This new version so far has done nothing better and many things much worse, this one  being the biggest for me so far. What gives? Anyone else experiencing this?

I’ve seen this raised a million times but all the topics are closed. Scrobbling doesn’t happen live, it seems to happen whenever I switched from playing on my Sonos speakers via Spotify to another device (i.e. phone, laptop). If I play music only on my speakers for a week it will never scrobble anything. When it does scrobble if you switch away, as mentioned it only scrobbles the last 50 tracks, meaning I lose hundreds if not thousands of scrobbles a month. This may seem silly, but I’ve used last.fm since 2008 and I really enjoy keeping a proper back catalog of music throughout my life...I would really like this to work properly.

Anyone else having issues with Qobuz working through Sonos? The stand alone app is working, I tried resetting my Sonos Port, I deauthorized and reauthorized Qobuz and still no luck. When I on Qobuz I get “No content items available.” Not sure what else to try. 

Like many I too know that the Sonos app is trash. People develop g it without being thorough or caring. How is it I’m able to log in from my browser on the Sonos site but when I try and log in from my app as I’m being forced to I get a blank page. Makes zero sense.  Useless

I would like to export my Sonos playlists in my Music Library to an OWC external 2Tb SSD.  I’ve seen the SonoSaver app and am thinking about trying it. But I have some questions:How should the SSD be formatted for higher res music?   Can I plug the SSD into my router and use it as a NAS or should I leave it connected to my iMac? I consider myself pretty much “tech-challenged”, so is the SonoSaver app an easy solution?

I have noticed that the “Your Sources” item appears to have a mind of it’s own and someimes is visible on the Home screen of my iPhone app and sometimes it isn’t.   I believe this is bcause if the Sonos app cannot see ony of the sources the option does not show, but will only show if one of the sources is available.  For example, my TV comes from my Virgin 360 box and feeds my Sonos soundbar via an optical cable.  If the Virgin box is off, there is no “Your Sources” option, but if it is on, then “Your Sources will show in the appropriate room with “TV” as a selectable source.Of ocurse. it should be showing all the time as I have a Music Library stored on a NAS drive whic is ALWAYS on, but for some reason, Music Library seems have a wraith like character in that sometimes my app sees it and sometimes not.  This is on both the iPAD and iPhone apps.  The strange thing is that even when the apps do not “see” it, the Windows desktop app and the Web based controller have no di

Ok,I have had this issue since the app was changed. I stopped thinking about it for the last 5 months.  I’m hoping that it has been fixed in that time.  I use an imac and my music library is on an external hard drive attached to it.I have followed and rechecked the steps in the current support page to connect to my music library and it does not work.  Surely there is a fix by now.Even the online app is a fail.  It can see my music library but it wont search it.  Useless.The old Sonos controller macosx app works but then I am denied permission to play my own music.Please help.

This is so frustrating.  Amazon music's ultra HD sound quality is supported by my Sonos system.  However, connecting to amazon music is unusable.  I mean, Spotify is clunky but at least it works.  Amazon I can't even get it to work. Is this a thing?  Or just me? 

On android phone, remove sub mini and the music library works. Add the sub mini back in and no music library.Why oh why.

Hello! Recently, the iOS app stopped making it easy to play music at the same level on every speaker in every room.  Until a few weeks ago, I would select all speakers, drag the volume slider for everywhere down to zero, and then back up to where I wanted it for my music. Now, individual speakers remember how much higher they were set and none of the numbers align. Is this a bug? Intentional? 

In the latest iOS app (80.17.14), the entire ‘Security & Privacy’ section is gone from account settings. This is where the ‘Personalization Services’ section used to be. There is now no way to disable listening history or prevent your data from being captured. Does anyone know what the hell happened? BEFORE  AFTER  

I’m part-way through moving my sonos speakers to a new vlan and wireless network which meant resetting the Play 1s and part way through the app updates to the latest version. I wish I hadn’t.Using 80.17.09-release+20250220.d797378 on Android I now can’t add a speaker or create a stereo pair. When I click the cog (top right) no matter which button I press in the Settings screen, the whole app locks up completely. I have no choice but to close it.I’ve restarted my phone, cleared the app’s cache, restarted every other working speaker which is in my Sonos setup but nothing helps.I also noticed that when the Sonos app is minimised and I maximise it, it kind of judders rather than being a smooth transition.Does anyone have any hints as to what I can try to get speakers added and a stereo pair created with the latest Android app? thanks  

Hello, I’m trying to summarize the problems with the music library, at least as far as I’m concerned.I’ll describe my scenario: QNAP NAS with a library of about 17,000 files, organized into folders by artist. I use SMB protocol v2 and v3. I have 2 SONOS Play1, 1 Play 5, and a soundbar + SUB. I’m using the new Android app.The issues I’ve encountered with the library, which frustrate me quite a bit since I purchased SONOS years ago specifically for managing the internal music library, are as follows:- When I start a playlist (for example, of 300 songs), the queue populates with 64,000 tracks, repeating the playlist in a loop.- In the alarm configuration, it’s no longer possible to set a playlist, only the buzzer or external services (spodify, sonos radio, ecc...)- Difficulty adding songs to the queue.- Cannot play music from an entire folder (selecting music library - folders).- Cannot find podcasts on Spotify.- Radio stations of

I am at wits end, two hrs on phone with support and they still do not understand the issue I have a number of sonos units, port unit wired to home network, other Play:5 (Gen 1) S1 devicesThe play 5 units cannot access music on my local library . It seems it happened after a recent firmware update. I’ve used wireshark to trace the issue. Looks like the firmware in the S1 units do not send a proper filename/path to the smb server. See screenshots of the traffic to the one unit that works and the Play5 that does not work. Hope this is picked up by support via this channel. The folder address is WORK/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/MusicI followed the different Sonos and community tutorials. To add my files, I still have an error 913. Hello, The Sonos App on Android is no longer functional when it comes to playing Playlists stored in a Synology NAS. We are only able to play one playlist, but we can see the others. We have attempted several remedies, including:Deleting the Music Library path in the app and re-adding it Manually deleting the .m3u files in the NAS, and resyncing them ReindexingThis solved *nothing.* In fact, there are now double listings for the playlists in the app, even though each file is only there once. Has anyone else experience something similar? Please chime in if you have, especially if you have a fix for this issue. And *yes,* we are using SMB 2. on our NAS I apologize if this comes off as frustrated, but frankly this is, on such expensive equipment.

I am very disappointed with Sonos. For years I have enjoyed using their products. But now, the darn controller will not find my system. I have done all of the suggested things and no joy. Rebooted everything. Nothing has changed on my system. It just wouldn’t find my Sonos system. So I uninstalled the controller and reinstalled it. No joy. Previous to this issue I was unable to connect to my local music library on my PC. Anyone else gone through this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to have to start over with new speakers.

Is it possible to set a max volume so my kid don't bother the neighbors when I'm at work? 

Hi guysWell finally after nearly 12 months and countless updates to S2 app have now have full functionality on my Pixel 6a phone. I had contacted Sonos support on several occasions to fix the problem I was having. That was I could not “manage” my Sonos system on my pixel 6a, whereas I could on my iPad and even on android phones running older android version. But today, finally that issue has been resolved YAH.Thankyou.

Using the S1 app my gen 1 Connect:Amp ZP120 will often lose audio for 5 to 10 seconds while playing Spotify. It is grouped with a Play:1 which does not drop audio.  Everything is on WiFi, which is congested, however there are no issues listening to Sonos Radio, Amazon Music, PocketCasts, etc. Unfortunately I have no control or access to the WiFi set-up at my apartment.  I know there are memory issues with the gen 1 Play:5 and Spotify which is why I sold mine and went with the Connect:Amp which I already had and just needed some speakers for. Gapless playback, automix, and crossfade are all disabled in the Spotify app since I read those could lead to issues with older equipment.  I have a diagnostic report *********** run right after the audio dropped.  Is there anything I'm missing here that could fix this other than upgrading to a current generation Amp and S2 app? On Windows 10, Sonos went to//My Computer/Music. Now it goes to//Desktop-PRMVB3Q/Music and there is no such folder. Network profile is private. Music folder is shared with everyone. Firewall not blocking. Radio station plays on the Sonos just fine.
