Controllers and Music services

My Sonos music folder is on a NSA310S external hard drive. I have always added CDs by ripping them to iTunes and then copying from the iTunes folder to the NSA310S external hard drive. This had always worked until now.The NSA310S icon has vanished from the bottom left of the file explorer screen where it previously showed up under This PC and Network. At least I believe it has vanished from where it used to be - I was initially worried I had forgotten how to do it!Click on Network and NSA310S shows up under Media Devices. Double click opens to what I assume is the device's IP address - a page titled Twonky with various links to settings etc. Right click gives three options 1. View device webpage (the Twonky page as described above), 2. Create shortcut, 3. Properties - this gives model number, IP address, serial number.If I open This PC NSA310S is there under Network locations. Double click to open and it states This folder is empty.The Sonos system plays fine - in other words it is sti

I have just reinstalled my sonos system (missed most of the app issues as was in storage) and now have everything back working agian.I had heard the album artwork from music library had returned to the app. Whilst I can see the artwork when I am playing the song/album, I do not see the artwork when I browse through the albums in my library or in the queue. So my question is, is the fix still needing further work and everyone has the same issue, or does everyone else have the artwork in their library seach and queue and not just when they are playing the song?Cheers,Simon

In the iOS Sonos app, I can’t add any folders, playlists, or favorites to the Home screen. The only sections visible on Home are “Recently Played,” “Your Source,” and “Your Service.” Example 1: If I select an MP3 folder from my NAS and choose “Pin Collections to Home,” it shows as pinned, but it doesn’t appear on the Home screen.Example 2: In the YouTube Music service, if I select “Save to Sonos Favorites,” it says it’s saved, but it doesn’t show up on Home. The same issue occurs with Apple Music. Essentially, I’m stuck with just “Recently Played” on Home, with no way to customize it with playlists, favorites, folders, or albums. It’s very, very frustrating. I’m not sure if this is a known issue, but it has persisted for a long time. Details:• App build: 80.14.09 (release 20241209)• Device: iPhone 13 Pro Max

What is being done to fix the glitching, especially the repeated drop in streaming with latest S2 controller?  i have an Era 300 which is “usable” only if one is willing to endure countless drops in streaming.  it’s a joke that an inexpensive bluetooth receiver plugged into a TRS port on my old Play 5 performs flawlessly but the so-called advanced technology of the Era 300/S2 player cannot.  I’m ready to move on from Sonos if they cannot produce equipment that simply works.

Please can someone explain me how the mobile app works (or actually does not work)???Each time I open it, if I want to access some of the settings, I have to login to my Sonos account… So I login… I then have access to some of the settings but for example if I want to add a device, I am asked to login… But I am already login!!!! Then I have a message that I have to login as the owner of the system…I found a “ transfert ownership” feature… I did the process with, at least, two logins involved but still the same nonsense: I cannot access to some settings and I am repeatedly asked to login as the owner of the system!!!Of course when I am logged in either in the app or on the web site… There is no way to register a product or a system.Sound quality of your products are very good but honestly the app the worst I had to experienced in ages.Anyways, if someone is able to tell me how to register my product and/or how to have access to all the app features, I’ll really be grateful;

Did the new update change the UI for the app when selecting a music source for a specific room?  

I use a couple Sonos at work, and wanted to check on the volume limit because it felt louder than normal. I cannot find the volume limit or EQ on the Roam??? There is EQ for the Sonos One SL's but no volume limit either?I'll have to check my home system when I get off work. But have anyone else had this issue? 

Please don’t give me BS answer “ oh you can use whatever platform”. I have set my preferred to you tube music and when i say hey sonos play _______ it plays it on Spotify!??? whyyyyyyyy it’s so frustrating. Sonos stop pushing services on me. it’s bad enough i can’t use my own sources lag free but you guys are making me choose a music platform too like c’mon!  

Thought I would post this here in case it helps anyone else.About 4ish months ago my Spotify Connect stopped working suddenly, this is the main way I use my Sonos so this was particularly annoying. I would see my speakers in the Spotify app but when selecting any speaker it would hang for a while then not connect.Steps I tried:Tried a full reboot of my system and reboot of my network Whitelisted the below on my PiHole to rule out any issues there: (.|^)spotify.com$ (.|^)spotifycdn.com$ (.|^)scdn.com$ audio-ak-spotify-com.akamaized.net audio-ake.spotify.com.edgesuite.net Removed Spotify from my Sonos services and then set it up again fresh Reinstalled Spotify apps and logged in fresh ensuring app had access to local networkNone of the above worked and I was in the same position.Over Christmas I noticed Spotify Connected worked fine at my parents house and additionally friends were able to use their Spotify Connect on my Sonos.I created a new Spotify account and it worked fine with Spoti

Before the last update I could play music directly from my iPhone to the beam. Now only the tv shows up on the Sonos app as playing in the lounge

I recently migrated my music library to Plex, which I thought was going to be nice because access to my music library is available as a “Music Service” in the Sonos S1 controller.I have some very large smart playlists (thousands of tracks).  I ran into the “20 second timeout” issue that Sonos S1 apparently has when loading a playlist.  If I cut my smart playlist roughly in half, it loads fine, so I’m pretty sure it’s the timeout issue that’s causing the problem.  I don’t think that it’s related to the length of the playlist, as I have no problem going into my music library and shuffling the entire library, which is many many more songs than what I’m currently trying to load from Plex.I was wondering if anyone that has experience with the SonoPhone app knows how it handles very large Plex playlists?

This Christmas, many dads will unwrap a shiny new Sonos system, expecting premium sound and seamless functionality to elevate their music experience. But for those in the know, it might not be the gift it once promised to be. The closed ecosystem, plagued by frustrating app issues and missing features, has left many Sonos users feeling like they're trapped in an endless loop of troubleshooting instead of enjoying their music. The excitement of unboxing soon turns into hours spent wrestling with buggy software, connectivity hiccups, and a system that doesn't give users the freedom to customize or fix it themselves. So, to all the dads unwrapping Sonos this year: we feel for you. Here's hoping that in the future, Sonos will choose to listen to its users, embrace openness, and make next Christmas one to truly celebrate. For now, enjoy the sound—if you can get itto work.

As it stands I am still missing a large number of Sonos custom playlists on my Android device. I have an Apple device and can see all of the playlists within the app on this device. I can also see all of the playlists within the Windows desktop app. The issue is related to the Android version of the app. Has anyone else come across this or found a resolution? My only work-around which actually didn't work was to use the windows desktop app, and add the missing playlists as Favourites. This shows the name of the playlist on my Android device but does not play the songs within it.  Does anyone know if a fix for this is even on the road map? Or do I have to just use an IOS device to play SONOS content comfortably? This is really frustrating!! 

Feature request:From today’s firmware update on my system….When an update fails, is it possible to include the name of the device that failed? When I went back, an hour later, to run it a second time, it told me one of my Subs hadn’t updated properly, and I needed to run the update process again, which I did, and was successful. So apparently there is some data existing that identifies which device didn’t update properly, or it wouldn’t have shown me the Sub needed updating. All I’m asking is to show that data at the ‘update failed’ time, in addition to the current ‘this device needs updating’ time. If it matters to anyone, I did run a diagnostic after the failure part. But not one after the success, since I’m not sure it would have been helpful. 

Has anyone had luck adding their music library from a Synology NAS with DSM 7+ to a S1 configuration?  After Hours with L2 support they finally told me, oh it wont work with DSM 7, you may want to downgrade back to DSM6. I just want to see if anyone out there has been able to add the music library under these conditions.Thank you, Mike

Updated Sonos iOS app to 80.15.04 and did the system update. After system update completed successfully, the system is no longer found on the Sonos iOS app. Tested it on an iPad with previous version of Sonos app and that doesn't work either. However, I am able to manage my system using the Windows app without any problems. Checked privacy settings on my iPhone for Sonos app and network, bluetooth and local network were allowed.Rebooting phone did not make any difference. iOS version 18.2.1. Rebooting router didn't help either. Reinstalling the app did work. After the wizard it chose to connect to existing system and it worked instantly, so it's probably something with permissions for the app.

I have S1 on a new M4 Mac Mini running MacOS 15.2 with music library on an SSD - Sonos will not recognise the library. I’ve been using Sonos for 15 years on various Macs fairly successfully, but if this isn’t going to work with my new environment I'm going to get rid of all my Sonos equipment and live a happy life. Anybody????

I have an old Sonos system which plays my music library stored on a Buffalo NAS.  I have recently purchased a new Assustor NAS and wish to transfer the music library from the Buffalo to the Assustor.  I intended to back up the Buffalo to cloud storage and then restore it to the Assustor, however I cannot find the music library on the Buffalo.  In the Sonos app it is listed as being at //Hs-dhgled4/Music but I cannot see this in the  Windows file manager (I have turned on “show hidden files and I can see my photo folders).  Can anyone help me please?

Is it possible that my kid only has access to her own speaker. She find it funny to take control over  the speakers around the house🤯🤯

The Sonos operation system is no longer supported on my iPhone 7, even though the iOS is ajour on my phone (iOS 15.8.3).When i bought the speakers, there were much more funktionalitet features than now - how can Sonos solve it?

When I search with the updated Sonos IOS-app, the results for my Plex service only show albums and artists. All songs are grayed out and cannot be selected to play and cannot be added to the queue. This problem does not occure with the Spotify service. When using the wep-app (play.sonos.com), songs of the Plex service can be found and played as expected.  Since the Windows app is working as expected, this seems to be a bug in the IOS-app. Unfortunately the queue cannot be altered in the web-app, so I have to switch between the IOS app and the web-app to play my music as intended using my iPad. 1. Can anyone conform this as a bug in the IOS app?2. Is editing of the play-queue expected as a feature in the web-app?  

I have the new Samsung S25 Ultra and running app version 80.16.32. I also have an S23 Ultra that I getting ready to trade in that is running the same app version. When I open my Sonos app, the recently played items at the top flash very briefly with what I have played, but then they go blank. I cannot tap on any of them and I cannot seem to find a way to get them to display. Is anyone else having this issue, or had it and resolved it?Thanks for any help.

After two calls and several hours on the phone with Sonos, I cannot connect the library to Sonos S1. Sometimes Sonos doesn’t find the existing system and posts a firewall problem. There is no firewall.I have made Music folders shareable, granted Sonos full disk access, and rebooted everything.Has anyone found the magic settings to make the system work? If so, please share. 

Still missing the alphabetical jumplist sidebar when trying to search artists in My Library essentially rendering app useless.  I’m not gonna scroll for 5 minutes to get to Yo La Tengo.  Please figure this out sooner than later.  App has been FUBAR for quite a bit.  Any fix on horizon?
