Hello,

I have issue with Airplay with Era 100 on my macbook (M2), ipad and iphone.

The speaker are seen but when i try to stream i get an error “could not connect to xxxx”

I can use the sonos app and stream tunein without any problem.

I have all os up to latest version and trying restarting everything and same issue,

How can i solve the problem ?

Thanks

Typically Airplay issues are network related. This assumes all devices are running the latest iOS/iPadOS and MacOS. Do the following in order listed:

  1. Unplug your Era 100
  2. Reboot your router
  3. Reboot your devices
  4. Plug-in your Era 100 let it come back
  5. Make sure you can see the Era 100 in the Sonos app on all devices
  6. Open AppleMusic
  7. Try streaming via AirPlay.

Thanks i have done but not working. worked once and then stopped  working afterwards.

I suggest you run a diagnostic within 10 minutes of the next occurrence, make note of the reference ID (do not post it here) and then call Sonos Tech Support on a regular business day.

Do not factory resent your speakers nor reboot your network. There is data in the diagnostic that is useful to Sonos.

so how do you run this diagnostic?

Here is how to submit a system diagnostic.

this is not going to work. I am trying to connect directly from my imac playing vlc and sneding the sound over airplay. The sonos app is not involved.

You should start your own post with details specific to your issue. You came to the wrong thread…it happens 😊
