Controllers and Music services

Hi hopefully someone can help/assist? All day today my Sonos system has been glitching, dropping rooms, skipping tracks, and endless error messages about cannot play selected track…while the track is actually playing! Very frustrating and Sonos is closed. I’m running the S2 app and unplugged all speakers and replugged them all in to no avail. Thanks in advance! 

Hello, I know this has been asked before, but I don’t see an answer. The songs in an album are being placed in a random order when I say play the album. I haven’t tried other ablums, but the metadata is fine. There is a song order field that contains the song number. The songs show up in the queue in a random order because the order differs each time I play the album. It doesn’t matter if I play the album, add the songs to the queue or copy the songs from the album into the queue. They’re always randomized. This another frustrating “feature” that doesn’t really work and can’t find any solution in the documentation. Thanks.

I know that Sonos S2 only supports a max of 24 bit 48 kHz files but here's the question I cannot find and answer to: if I have 24 bit 192 kHz FLAC files on my NAS in my Library, will sonos play them, albeit in a downsampled format or will they be skipped altogether? Can someone please clarify this?

I want to remove my home Wifi from the Neworks list in the app, and get all my Sonos products back to communicating on the usual Sonos wifi mesh.  I am on S1.I found a forum post which says this is possible, but for the life of me I can’t find where/how to do this.Is anyone able to help, please? I’d be very grateful! Here’s some further information on my set up, in case this is relevant:Most of my Sonos devices are cat5-wired to my router, and have wifi disabled on them all.  I have one wired box (a Beam) with wifi enabled, which then communicates over the usual Sonos mesh with three Sonos devices which are not connected with cat5.  So far so good.  Recently I had to remove the cat5 cables from a pair of Sonos Ones (so that I would have a total of 5 Sonos devices connected over wifi via the wired Beam).  Getting the wifi enabled and working for these was very very difficult, they simply refused to connect.  After a couple of hours of rebooti

I have read countless threads about Sonos speakers not connecting using Airplay (on iPad) with the usual response of restart, reset …. ad nauseum… I reset everything, works for  a short time and then, right in the middle of a playlist… DEAD. Is there any real fix to this? I have 4 SL 1 speakers and the ARC soundbar. and this is really getting tiresome but before I leave a bad review, I’d like to get some feedback.

When creating or editing an existing Alarm I am unable to select a Pandora radio station from my list of saved stations. My existing alarms configured with Pandora station are working fine just cannot change to a different Pandora station.  iPad Pro Gen 3 iOS 16.3Sonos 14.20

We have a couple of Sonos devices and one Spotify Premium account with multiple users who all have own play lists. Our issue is on Sonos, whomever is signed in, only their playlists show. I have read the content about adding additional accounts etc and switching between but we have one Spotify account so my question is whether there is a way to switch between playlists on Sonos?I dont want to see my husband’s tunes/podcasts etc and at the moment all I can do is search by artist name for whom I want. Same for other family members. The issue isn’t Spotify as we each have the app, go in, our playlists etc all there. This seems related to the single log-in/user issue of Sonos. Surely there is a workaround here?

I have two Sonos Ones setup in their own rooms, and want to create a third called House so don't have to keep selecting them both when I want to do that, or as I add new speakers in the future. I do not have the option for everywhere, or to hit the plus and create a custom group. Ideas? 

I have an S1 Sonos system with 1 Play:3 and 1 Play:5. I have a Music Library Setup to my samba share at //servername/media that has been working just fine until I replaced my wifi router last weekend. I’ve re-added the share and I can navigate around within the share just fine from the Sonos S1 app. When I try to play music from it to my Play:5 I get an access denied error. I can play music from it just fine to my Play:3, and if I’m playing music from it to my Play:3 I can then group in my Play:5 and it plays on both of them. If I then remove the Play:3 from the group, it stops playing on both. Please help, thanks! -Ross

I can’t seem to find a service person seem to find. A service person does anybody know of such a person who could come over and help us set up the remote new load is about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide and it is black. I hate to sound like such an ignorant person, but I’m totally at a loss about. How do use this remote, I gather you need a certain code from the company to attach it to the system. Any help very much appreciated. 

Just acquired a couple of Play 1 and a Play 3 and very disappointed to learn I cannot stream music from  my library on any of my Apple devices. I have been an iTunes Match subscriber for about 10 years and my purchased music is stored in the cloud (or the matched equivalent track is streamed to my devices). I assumed that this would work with Sonos but it seems I have to have an Apple Music account as well? I don’t want to (more than) double up on my payments to Apple by subscribing to both services. Is there a way around this?

For about a year I have been unable to play my own ripped CDs (albums), from Apple Music (where they reside since iTunes was discontinued) to Sonos. I can play this music, no problems, directly out of the iPhone or Desktop/Laptop, using “Apple Music”, but when I try to access the same albums via Sonos, on iPhone or the Controller on Mac,  it says I need to subscribe to Apple Music! Why does this happen? I own Play 1s, Play 3s, Playbar & Sub, none of which allow AirPlay.I already subscribe to another music streaming service, Deezer

I brought my laptop with me to work today update my music library in Sonos app. Of course I need to connect to my work Wifi in order to use the app on my laptop. But I dont want to mess with any setting that I already have on my Home Wifi for Sonos. Is it okay to connect to my work Wifi to update my Music Library and when I get back home to reconnect back to my Home Wifi? Can this be a difficult task? I deleted a lot of my music files/folders to make room for new music to be added to Sonos. I didnt have any space on my laptop to add the new music files yesterday as it was too full.

HiDid the update last night and ever since, my Boost sporadically shows as ‘updating’ on the app, with a blue dot next to it. It does sometimes show as normal but then reverts to this ‘updating’ status. It isn’t updating though and everything seems to be working fine. So looks like just a glitch and I have noticed folks on Reddit also commented the same.Anyone else got this little issue?

While using the Tidal App on iPhone, playing directly to a pair of fives via tidal connect, after a few songs the app on the phone appears to disconnect. Music keeps playing, but can no longer control with phone. Have to reconnect and start the current song over. This process then repeats every few songs. Not sure if there is a setting I need to change or if this is just an ongoing bug with tidal app/Sonos. Does not seem to be an issue if using ipad. Any thoughts are appreciated. 

We are a few at home and sometimes we like to listen individually to our own music from our Deezer accounts. I find that I have to change account too often and sometimes forget to do so which means that sometimes a member of my family uses Deezer from my account and ads favorites or listens to flow but has nothing to do with the flow that each family member uses. Is there a way that I can associate one speaker with one deezer account? Without losing the ability to change accounts if needed? For instance I'd like a specific Sonos Roam speaker, that often one of my family members use, to have his Deezer account on that one. It would also be nice if I can say, Sonos, play this from that Deezer account..so I don't have to change account manually from the app. I hope I made myself clear about what I mean. Thank you

I just tried to download Sonos on my Macbook Air and noticed it’s not available for download all of a sudden? I am running Ventura 13.2.1. When I go to the apple store on my mac to try and download it, it says “This app is available only on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.” ???Please don’t tell me I can no longer control Sonos from my laptop.

I listen to two podcasts on my free time: The Joe Rogan Show, and recently, Deep Questions with Cal Newport. Now, I can start the Joe Rogan podcast on Spotify and it’ll play immediately on my Sonos One (Realistically it’s a 2-3 second delay), and I’ll be able to listen to it till the end, like normal.However, if I click on Newport’s podcast, it’ll take longer (6-9 seconds), if I pause and resume the podcast it’ll take the same amount of time, it’ll normally restart an episode I’m in the middle of even though Spotify says I’m listening to the middle of it, but the most frustrating part is that around the 3 minute mark of time left (One time it picked 5) it’ll cut off for a moment and return to a previous audio clip of the podcast, and it’ll play over, and over, and over. If I try to listen to the rest of the podcast, the same thing will happen at smaller intervals. Why does this happen? Has anyone else encountered this issue and/or managed to solve it?

When will sonos be compatible with the Deezer Connect application, like with Spotify?

When I select Apple Music → Library → Playlists, the error message “An error occurred while adding tracks to the Queue (1002)”. This also happens if I select Library → Songs but not when I choose Library → Artists or Albums. I can hear specific artists or albums but not playlists or songs. Any help would be appreciated.

My playbar/sub has dropped from the mobile app, but is still present in the PC desktop app. I've removed/reinstalled the app, factory reset the playbar/sub, and readded to the system. It's visible until I close the mobile app, then it's gone again  but still visible on the desktop app. This very frustrating! Any ideas?

How do I connect a friend / family member to my Sonos app/devices ?
