Trying to run the controller on MacBook always asks to check for updates finds new update installs then ALWAYS errors Sonos update failed

now unable to use controller or Sonos on the laptop due to not allowing the older version of the controller to run

any solutions

Maybe try uninstalling the current Sonos controller App and then reinstall the latest version from Sonos HERE. On opening the latest App, accept T&C’s and choose to connect back to the ‘existing’ Sonos system on the network.

And by ‘uninstalling’, I think the meaning is ‘deleting’. And to be honest, I’d reboot the machine before installing the replacement version, just to clear out any potential memory corruptions.
