Controllers and Music services

I have an issue where some 44.1 kHz 16 bit AIFF files show up in my library and some do not.  Anything ripped in Itunes shows up fine, but a friend sent me a folder with files in the identical specs and that folder (as an album) and those files do not, even after multiple indexes of my music library. Wonder if it has something to do with “Little Endian” vs. “Big Endian” byte order, but any help appreciated

Hi, I have been noticing that the volume on sonos components is very low even when the volume is around 50%. It then gets loud quickly as the volume is increased further. I think this is related to having a linear vs a logarithmic volume slider level. The volume should increase at the same level throughout the range. At best, there should be the option within the settings whether to have a linear or logarithmic volume slider in order to provide both options. With thanksKeith

I have a Sonos system connected to a Boost. My iPhone will connect to the system with no issues. My wife’s iPhone is unable to connect to the same system on the same network. I have reset the app, tried to connect to the network with correct password, etc. Still unable to connect is the message I keep getting on the app. App is updated. iPhone has different OS versions. Any help. Thanks

Hi, Is it possible to group a number of speakers to work as a single zone (possibly in mono), other than having to parallel the speaker connections on an AMP for instance?It there a way to have say multiple AMPs controlled together as a single zone, in a ‘fixed’ configuration as opposed to having these grouped or ungrouped through the app? (such that the user cannot change this configuration)?Another idea (or feature request) would be to have a 100V version of the AMP that would cater for this very easily. With thanksKeith

So on Android App version 15.8, but not sure when this first went wrong as I don’t use the Music Library a lot. The App appears to have folder naming issues but only on some folders, Johnny Cash has a nice mix of good and bad ones so I used it as my example.Thinking it might be an indexing issue I deleted the Library and re-added it, no changes that I could see.Got distracted by other problems and when I got to my computer today I noticed the Noson app was showing the right folder names.Can someone at Sonos see if there is anything in the Diagnostic?Diagnostic Number:  1983430384I do have a couple Rooms powered down right now, hopefully unrelated to the issue. App Folders View

Hi everyone. I just got a SYMFONISK speaker and successfully installed the Sonos app on my Samsung phone. I added the Spotify service correctly but if I try to install the Tidal service the app goes into error even though the Tidal site gave me confirmation of authorization.Has this happened to anyone yet?

Ok. I had some sort of issue with my wifi and I had to reconnect everything for some reason. I have a ZP80 and two Sonos Ones acting as a stereo pair and I am on S1. I have everything connected again now, but I am missing how to switch to my RCA out so that I can stream the cd player to my speakers via the ZP80. What am I missing? Both the ZP80 and my speakers are on the system, I guess I just need the RCA out option to show up on the controller. Thanks so much for any help you can provide! -Clint

I’m trying to use my Samsung earbuds with my Samsung tv. When I switch the tv on, I’m given the opportunity to connect to the buds. I choose that but then Sonos kicks in and switches the output away from the buds back to the soundbar.So far the only way I can use the earbuds is to unplug sonos and as all wiring is hidden that is far from easy.Am I missing something.Hope someone can tell me of a better way. TIA  

I have three Sonos speakers, an Arc, an Era 300, and a Roam. Like many other people, I get many error messages while using Apple Music about songs not being encoded properly. It can be one or two songs or the whole album. I don’t have this problem with Amazon Music, but much of my music is on Apple from i-Tunes era. Albums by the same artist purchased about the same time may have error messages on Apple, but not on Amazon. These albums play perfectly well on my computer. This is very frustrating since I can’t use my new Sonos speakers for a large part of my music. Since compatibility with Apple Music is a major selling point for Sonos, fixing this problem should be a priority.

I recently had the relatively common problem of only having the first 5 albums showing up from my Amazon Music account.  But now, I have a different problem where I’m only seeing (roughly) the first half of my music library (from A through La).  I’ve tried clearing my cache and restarting, but that didn’t work.  This just started a couple of weeks ago (early- to mid- august).  Any help would be appreciated.  

Please could someone advise on the below? We have Sonos speakers mounted in the reception of an office building and are currently using Spotify to stream the music from the PC. I was hoping there would be a way to save entire playlists from Spotify onto the Sonos controller itself, so that they live on the PC Controller and Spotify is no longer required. Is this something that’s possible? Or is it the case that an active Spotify account needs to be linked to Sonos in order to play music?

Good Morning,I was able to get it work this morning with the assistance of technical support but was hoping to get some more information regarding the issue.In short, recently I have been unable to play music on 3rd party apps via Airplay from my iPhone X when the Sonos is connected via ethernet. My iPhone 8 running ios 12 and a Macbook running 10.15.7 both have always worked flawlessly though.The story and set-up:I have had a Beam Gen 1 for my TV for a few years now. The beam is connected to my TV via HDMI ARC and has always connected via ethernet through a switch.About 1 year ago, the Beam stopped playing airplay music from my iPhone X via 3rd party apps. Good morning,Since this morning, like every day I do my sport, I wanted to listen to my favorite radio for my session. But here I plug in my Sonos Five, I wait for it to be fixed. I activate Wifi on my Redmi Note 10 Pro, and I select the Sonos S2 application and it loads but once I arrive at the menu where there are all the radio and disc icons it returns to the screen starting my smartphone. Hi, I’m having an issue connecting to my system via my iPhone. Half my system does but my living room set up (play base and 2 ones) has disappeared. It shows up on my iPad and also on my wife’s devices. Can you help? I’ve not changed phone or router etc 

Recently I've notice that about 25% of the songs in my queue do not display artist and title (my preference) but simply the file name, like track1.mp3. It includes songs purchased from Bandcamp and songs from my own cds - I do not notice a pattern. 

Sadly 2 Sonos advisers have failed to help me link my hard disc which holds my Music Library and my Sonos 1. I need to know how to write the pathway link in my Library Settlings.  

When?

Connected my Move to my Sony tv by Bluetooth and shows connected….but Move doesn’t produce any sound. I turned off the tv and the Move to reset  and still nothing. I see where others are having the same issue. Lots of money spent on a Bluetooth speaker that does not produce sound.  

I have grouped some speakers but can’t figure out how to select them to play music. I am sure it’s obvious to most but not to me

I’ve been trying to connect my Sonos One and Sonos Connect:Amp to the same system, but whenever I try to add the second product to the room that the first one is connected to, the room the first one is connected to does not show up in the list. I am using the S1 app, since my Connect:Amp is only compatible with this app. Thanks for the help!

I have a new wifi with new SSID and couldn't get the network update to work, so I decided to reset all my Sonos to factory default.  Got them working as a new system.  However if I try to add Pandora or Amazon music services, both ask for my login, then say I can close my browser window and seem to have succeeded.  However when I go back to my Sonos app in Android s2 it says connection error and a connection to Pandora could not be made.  I looked through Sonos and Pandora and don't see a way to unregister from my previous Sonos setup

As of last week, when I listen to pocketcasts on Sonos, that activity does not appear to be communicated to the pocketcasts sync cloud. Pocketcasts will not show that an episode has been played and will not retain listening position.The syncing used to work fine, and I haven't changed my devices or configuration since then. I've ensured I'm logged in to both Sonos and pocketcasts, and I've tried reauthorizing the pocketcasts service. No luck. Pocketcasts still seems to have no knowledge of what I play through Sonos.Suggestions?

I recently upgraded my smart home to the HomeKit Architecture upgrade released in iOS 16.4 (after it was initially removed in iOS 16.2), and now my devices can not airplay to any Sonos device

I still can’t see RadioPlayer available on Sonos yet it says the issue is resolved?
