Hi,

Is it possible to group a number of speakers to work as a single zone (possibly in mono), other than having to parallel the speaker connections on an AMP for instance?

It there a way to have say multiple AMPs controlled together as a single zone, in a ‘fixed’ configuration as opposed to having these grouped or ungrouped through the app? (such that the user cannot change this configuration)?

Another idea (or feature request) would be to have a 100V version of the AMP that would cater for this very easily.

With thanks

Keith

You can have named groups configured with the Sonos app. Would this work for you?

I think that you should drive a commercial 100V 3rd party amplifier with a PORT.

You could connect 2 amps together as a single zone as a home theatre configuration. The second amp would technically be for surround sound, but if not connected to a TV and set to play ‘full’ for music, it makes no difference.  And 2 amps can each drive 2 pair (3 if using the Sonance speakers) of 8 ohm speakers, for a total of 8 (or 12) speakers.

That makes sense - thanks for your replies.

I always thought that a 100V version of the AMP would be a nice addition to the range of products.
