Controllers and Music services

I have several Sonos playlist with up yo 700 songs each. Is it possible to copy an entire playlist from Sonos to Spotify? I understand I can copy individual songs but with large playlists this would be very difficult.  Thank you for your help.

My neighbours sound engineer has just told me that Sonos is updating the system to prevent use of home music library on a computer and you will have to use a music streaming system and pay. He said to be aware that updating the Sonos system will soon remove access to your library!

Hi there, When tapping into my "My Likes" YTM playlist in the S2 app on Android, I get a message "Unable to browse music."This is a large playlist, and another large playlist in my library has the same problem. From Google searching, I've seen reports from about 2 years ago of the same issue, though it appears that it was resolved back then.I've reinstalled the S2 app, and removed and re-added my YTM account. My sense is that this is caused by the 999 song limit in the YTM API.This playlist worked fine up until very recently, and its been well over 999 songs for a long time. I'll guess that either something has changed on the YTM API side, or the approach Sonos is using to workaround that limit (perhaps fetching only 999 songs from large playlists) is no longer working.I expect a response from Sonos might be that it's a YTM problem, and to contact them, but I do hope that Sonos engineers can take a close look at the Sonos side just to be sure.

I have a setup at home with multiple Sonos One speakers and another Roam in a separate system/location. Bot systems are mainly used with Deezer. At home with a solid internet connection everything works perfectly. My Roam is in a location with solid wifi but a relatively slow internet connection (<5 MBit/s). Using Sonos Radio or TuneIn works flawlessly. However, Deezer tries to stream uncompressed Hifi audio and due to the slow connection constantly aborts play. When I use Deezer on my phone in that location and stream to Sonos Roam via Bluetooth, the Deezer app on the phone automatically moves down to compressed audio at a lower bitrate, but Deezer on Sonos does not do that. Is there a reliable way to manually force Deezer on the Roam to play compressed audio?

I have the Sonos S2 app on both my iPhone and iPad and fully updated and same login. My phone will only show 1 SL1(set up as bedroom) while my iPad shows all 5 of my speakers (living room surround arc,sub, x2 SL1).  deleted app on phone and reloaded and logged in and no change. Crazy thing is I loaded all hardware using my phone and got the iPad later and loaded the S2 app on there and it seemingly “transferred” all info over but the phone lost the surround sound.   anyone else have that with the same acct on 2 different Apple devices?

Hello, I’m trying to use YouTube Music on my Sonos One (all worked correctly before)It’s asked me to re-authorize app with a 9 digit code. After I enter the code: Access blocked authorisation errorYou can’t sign in from this screen because this app doesn’t comply with Google’s secure browser policy. If this app has a website, you can open a web browser and try signing in from there. Error 403: disallowed_useragentPhone is quite old (Huawei Mate 9) - have tried updating my web browser, still no cigar. YouTube account is not premium. Is this a Sonos issue or to do with my iron age phone? Thanks for your thoughts! 

Sonos works on all of my other tablets, phones, etc… The problem is with my Fire Tablet 7, 9th generation.When I open Sonos on my Fire Tablet then it says it needs updating.   I click on the update button, it goes to the play store, and when I click in the play store to update the tablet doesn’t do anything.  I have tried starting, restarting the app, nothing.On the Fire Tablet, in compatible devices, my Fire Tablet does show up as being compatible.  I renamed it to make sure it’s the correct tablet. It is. Any help?

I can listen to TuneIn, use Amazon music but the app keeps resetting and now wont play YouTube music, it keeps saying the songs are in the wrong format halfway through a song. Nothing has changed in my network set up

*sigh* This app is more trouble than it’s worth.  It’s search feature only allows you to search by specific group like “by song or by artist” and will not search cross category.  Why not just search for anything that matches what I’ve typed in?  This makes it hard to find playlists and indy artists on streaming platforms.  The Sonos related ads that pop up have no way to close without closing the app altogether.  “Add To Calendar” was the only option on an ad wanting me to participate in a Sonos shopping event.  I love my Sonos sound system but dread dealing with this app, so much so I would invest in another product if the controller app was more user-friendly.  There’s no Lock Screen controls either so adjusting the volume requires you to open the app, wait for it to connect and THEN you can adjust the volume or change the track.  There is also a DELAY when doing this as the app has to reconnect to your network each time, so it takes a few seconds for you to control your music.  E

It’s been happening since spring this year.  It takes me up to 4 tries to change a channel.  I’m playing tune-in and NPR streaming stations.  Everything worked fine for a few years.  But i have to plan around the non-response of SONOS so consistently that I’m thinking of ditching my 4 speakers for something else. It’s the same issue as this person - who did not receive a solution so far as I can tell. 

Hi Does anyone have any recommendations on an external hard drive to use with sonos, I want to transfer all my music to one and use it.

I have Pandora and spotify set up on sonos. By default when I open up a room Pandora is the default. How do I switch to spotify as my music source for a room? When I choose spotify there is no "play" button. My only choice is "spotify" and "shuffle" and when  I choose spotify it plays on my phone which is where I'm using the app. Assume I need to use "shuffle" as 'm trying out the free version of spotify?

Version 15.7 of the Sonos Controller and still no fix for the Apple Music "Song encode incorrectly" Bug  how much longer will we have to wait? 

 Hi, I wanted to know if someone can confirm me that using Airplay from the TIDAL app, the right quality, like Atmos is achieved. If I’m playing music on more than one speaker and want to change which speakers, when I click the icon that shows all of the available speakers on our system, uncheck the ones I no longer want it streaming to, then click Done, nothing changes.   The same group of speakers continue to play.    If I do it over and over, maybe uncheck one, click Done a handful of times, eventually it might be removed.   Or try unchecking another, Done, uncheck again, Done, uncheck the same one again, Done, eventually that might be removed too.   But I can never just uncheck a group of them, click Done, and have only the remaining checked speaker(s) be the ones remaining.Anyone else have this problem, and if so, anything that can be done or just a bug in the app?I did try uninstalling the app then reinstalling and logging in again, keeps recurring.     I’m using the most recent version, updated 9/14/23 as of the date of this post.

I have sonos connect (ist version)hard wired and use the latest app 15.8.1  and  sonos  os2.   Music will play, then all of a sudden it will stop for about 5-10 seconds, then start to play again.  this process can go on all day. I’ve unplugged connect and my router. waited about 30 secs and restarted my router then in about 2 minutes later plugged connect back on.  This will help for about half the day, then the music drops again and process of dropping music continues.  any solutions is greatly appreciated   thx!

I like to listen to entire albums, and if I enjoy them,  I want to save the artist and album name in some directory so that I can recall them when I’m choosing something to play at a later time. No need to create a playlist. Napster does this perfectly but it has so many connection issues that it has become close to worthless. Is there another service that meets these requirements?

Hopefully I’ve given all the details in the subject title, but just to expand/reiterate:I can add Tracks, Artists, Albums to Library of an individual music service via the Sonos app. Full functionality such as ‘Thumbs Up’ or ‘Dislike/Dont Recommend”. It’s not *perfect* either, as there will usually be an ‘Add to Favorite Tracks’ and ‘Remove from Favorite Tracks’ on the same track, but that’s more than acceptable, just thought I’d mention it in case it suggests wider problems (or not). I can directly add the track into a Deezer/Spotify playlist OR a Sonos playlist/Sonos library.With Amazon Music, the functionality used to be so much better  when I was first experimenting with it, in terms of being able to thumb up / thumb down a recommended track whilst it was playing - wish I had a screenshot to indicate this feature, but alas, I don’t - however I got fed up of the total restriction on searches (I just had to start a random shuffle and even skipping tracks wa

I am fairly new to Sonos. I have a desktop computer running W10 connected to my router with an ethernet cable.I also have iPhone and iPad with the Sonos S2 app on it.I have more than one Wifi network. I have 3 but my Sonos is on just one. I want to use the Sonos Desktop App but it will not find my Sonos setupI have follwed both sets of guides which I have to say for the novice are excellent. (I am not a novice having worked in the computer world since 1979) My settings were already correct. It is almost like Sonos wants to only work on a wireless setup and is not supporting my wired network of my desktop. I have an Era 300 and an ArcI plan to add another 300 and probably a sub  Thanks Steve

Dear all,I have been a Sonos user for several years. My primary streaming service is Tidal (lossless formats, 24bit, hi-res), etc.I am trying to get the latest information about what “hi res” formats Sonos supports from Tidal. I have read articles about 24 bit streaming from both Apple and Qobuz.Assuming the answer is “yes” - Does it matter whether I start a song from Tidal (then “connect” it to Sonos) or whether I start the song from Sonos?

Hey all,My MyBookLive NAS died after many years of service, hosting my Sonos music library.  I replaced it with a DS120j Synology NAS, and it has NOT been plug and play.  I’ve seen many notes in the Sonos forums about workarounds to get Synology and Sonos to work together, and I’ve tried most of them, to no avail.So, I have a Sonos S1 system that has worked great and I don’t want to migrate to S2.  I have spent hours with very patient and helpful Sonos support techs, Apple support techs, and Synology support techs, and no one can get the “access denied” error to go away when trying to play music library files on the Synology NAS.  If anyone has any recent magic bullets, let me know.Alternatively, if some Sonos user is willing to recommend any NAS that DOES work with Sonos, please let me know.  The Sonos support folks have to remain agnostic, and most of the reviews of the various NAS drives I’ve read are pretty horrible.  Synology seemed “least bad”, but now I t
