Sound cutting in and out or no sound at all

We have 6 speaker areas installed in the house for a year and it’s super annoying as the sound keeps cutting out. I often have to increase the volume and then it works but often it cuts of soon after. Very unreliable. Any ideas on how I can get this solved? Thanks

Playbase wireless issue.

Hey folks The wireless of my Playbase stopped working. It does not show in the app. It only works when conneted to LAN. I had to connect also one of the surrounds (Play:1) to LAN to make the second surround work via WLAN. I submitted a diagnostics with number 1433264246 from my sonos app. Best Rob

Playbase stropped working

Hey, Had a playbase connected to some play Ones as part of a surround sound but the playbase lost connection. De-coupled them all and factory reset. The Ones came back no problem but the playbase refused to connect at all. I’ve hard wired it to the router, I get a green flashing light when I plug the base in… the app then recognises that it’s there starts to go through set up but stops saying connection has been lost… any ideas? went ahead and sent some diagnostics up front… the number is 1807319793. tried using iPhone and iPad to run set up...

speaker not connected.

Hi, My system used to be fine using the old app but since upgrading to Sonos 2 it can't find the speakers on the WiFi. Very frustrating. I have 2 Sonos One and a Beam. I have unplugged the speakers and turned them back on. Nothing is working. Thanks Ben

Turntable Through Port Drop Outs.

Nad C558, NAD PP2E PreAmp, Sonos Port, Boost, Play Bar, Sub, 2x Play 1’s, 2x Play 3’s, One, Move I have recently added a Turntable, Pre Amp and Port to my expanding system. My issue is drop outs. I have set buffering to maximum and also selected compressed audio but the issue remains. It’s so bad that I can’t realistically use the Turntable. I’m hoping that its a set up issue and that I can sort this. Any ideas?

No power on my Playbar / j’ai perdu ma Playbar

Bonjour, Hi, J’ai perdu mon playbar. Je n’ai plus d’alimentation après seulement 8 ans! I lost power on my playbar with no advice! Que faire maintenant? Quand même pas remplacer après seulement 8 ans? What can I do? This is unacceptable after only 8 years! Merci, thanks.

Website Product Review - Something Went Wrong

In response to email requesting product review of Move, I tried to create the product review on the Sonos website; however, it keeps saying something when wrong, and said something about browser ad blocker. I tried four different browsers, disabled add blocking on all, and always get the same response. I then tried on iPhone and that too had same message. I then logged into my data center (I develop commercial software applications) and used the browser from that server and that too had the same message. It looks to me like the product review page is broken.

Imported playlists with special characters - why can't Sonos read them correctly?

In my music library (on a Synology network server) I have many folder and file names with special foreign language characters. When Sonos scans my music library it reads and displays all the characters just fine on any Sonos controller. However, when I create and export playlists for this library (via MediaMonkey), the playlist files look fine in Windows Notepad but Sonos can't display them correctly, and the playlists don't work, since (I assume) the playlist entries don't match with what Sonos knows the file names to be. I have tried exporting the playlists in various encodings (ANSI, UTF-8, and Unicode) and while they all look fine in Notepad, none of them work. I should make it clear that for playlists referring to music files WITHOUT any special characters, Sonos work with both my ANSI and UTF-8 just fine - these work the way they are supposed to. But Sonos chokes on special characters in imported playlists no matter how I encode them. Is there a way around this besides eliminatin

Sonos:One Gen 2 wont update error 1014.

Hello there, I just got a Sonos One Gen 2 and it needs to update, I proceed to do the update but it does not gets installed. The error it shows is error 1014. Ive tried the troubleshoot to try and fix the issue but with no success. Can anyone please shed some light on this issue?

PlayBar sound drop outs.

We are experiencing persistent sound dropping out on Playbar/sub/play 1 when playing music only, not when playing from the connected TV (via optical). The playbar is connected by Ethernet to the router. Any other speakers in group with it keep playing the music stream when the living room drops out for up to 2-5 seconds at a time. The time between events varies upto 30 minutes, but it has just happened 4 times in 5 minutes. I submitted a diagnostic after the first 2 (reference 1636439061). Anybody any ideas?

Can't Play Sirius Station, Associated account not found.

After listening to the MLB game yesterday on SiriusXM, today I can’t play Sirius statioins because supposedly can’t find account on system. I see that the service is shown as available on the status page. Anyone else having this issue?

Playbar has no signal

Mijn playbar krijgt geen signaal maar is wel verbonden met internet! Sonos diverse keren gebeld maar geen oplossing gevonden. Optische kabel diverse keren vervangen maar geen resultaat! Iemand een idee hoe ik hem aan de praat krijg? Kan dus geen tv geluid afspelen maar wel muziek,heel vreemd. Ronald Zoetermeer

The app change the volume of the phone.

This is a problem which was reported and solved few years ago and now is back. The app should not affect the volume of the phone or at least the user should have the option to control the volume of SONOS from the side buttons of the phone or only opening the app.

Sonos ramdomly plays music/radio.

Hi. New to the community. A few nights ago sonos woke me up in the middle of the night as it started to randomly play one of my spotify playlists. I googled the issue and found a few messages on this message board but didn't seem to find an answer or how I can stop it happening. I don't currently use alexa and it shouldn't be activated. I read that I should submit a diagnostic report immediately after it happens again. Well it's just happened, this time playing the radio which was the last thing sonos was playing, and the number is 1860789045. Any advice or help understanding why this is happening is much appreciated.

Tidal song coded incorrectly

Every time I try to stream from tidal weather it be from the tidal app or from the sonos it says that the song is encoded incorrectly, no matter the song or audio resolution I submitted a diagnostic 223306334. Anyone else have this issue

Drop outs again on vinyl.

I have an Audio Technica turntable plugged into my Play 5. It plays fine in the room over the 5 but in some of the other rooms there are intermittent dop outs of the audio. I have done a full internet reset and reconfigured the lounge home theatre set up I have (sonos beam and 2 Play 3’s as surround. I only tend to play the vinyl over this at night and have relatively few devices being use at the same time. Please could you advise as to how I might solve the problem. I have 2000ms as an audio delay which helped for a while.

An artwork question that's different to the norm..

Issue l am having involves a single album artwork. All other artwork for the +3000 albums are fine. The issue is that for this single album the artwork doesn’t appear on the Ipad app. I have added the .jpg within the folder and correctly named it ‘folder’. It is within the parameters of resolution size. I have replaced the artwork with an entirely different .jpg and still doesn’t appear. I have also removed the album folder from the iTunes library, deleted it from iTunes and then updated the Sonos music index. Once that has updated l have added album to iTunes again, updated Sonos but still doesn’t appear. There is nothing particularly unusual about album other than a single track lasting over 15 minutes but l have other albums like that and the artwork appears with no issue. Ideas anyone? Thanks

how do I reset the password on my account? I have tried used the password reset link for the past 3 days and I never get an email. I know I have the right email because I have retained the original welcome email. I am trying to log i to the new app and I cannot.

Amazon Music divorced both my Sonos speakers without my approval. 😞

All of a sudden Amazon Music will not play on either of my Sonos speakers. I have tried to reauthorize and I get an error code. I deleted app and reinstalled. nothing has worked. And, when I try to send a diagnostic it keeps saying it can’t send at this time. Help!

Why does my spotify music stop playing after each song when in SHUFFLE mode?

Since I started using the new app, when I open Spotify to play a playlist on shuffle, it randomly either starts repeating the same song or it stops playing all together after the first song

Pocket Casts not syncing

As of about 9/26 Pocket Casts has stopped syncing with my Sonos. The Pocket Casts app works fine on my phone. I’ve removed the service and readded it and there was no change. I am able to see my Up Next list but it’s 5 days old now. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Sound dropping over network.

I have 10 Sonos speakers in my home. 2 x Play 3, 6 x Play 1 (1st gen) and 2 x Play 1 (2nd gen). They constantly drop out using music streaming services...particularly Spotify and Apple Music and less so with Pandora. I have excellent internet connection, boosts etc etc and have spent hours on the phone with Sonos Tech but am still none the wiser as to why the problem is happening. So..does anyone know someone in the Los Angeles area who is an expert in Sonos and other smart speaker systems cause this has been going on for ages and is driving me nuts!! Thx Sonos Community.

Sonos:AMP temperature hitting 140 degrees!?!?

I just opened my cabinet and my Sonos AMP’s are HOT… I mean REALLY hot. I just measured with a meat thermometer and the middle unit on a 3 stack of Amp’s was over 140 degrees. It seems crazy hot for electronics and a long-term fire risk. I moved the Amp’s to three stacks of two each to eliminate a middle unit, but is there something else I should be doing??
