Amazon Alexa and Sonos

I can’t get Alexa to play my playlists in my Apple Music library on my Sonos devices.

Dear Sonos,I bought a few of your products in Brazil and I can use my Sonos as an Alexa but when I ask it to play a song it says to enable the Sonos Skill on the Alexa App. But there is no Sonos skill on the Brazillian Alexa Skill "store".  So, you have an official webpage in Brazil, you have official authorized retailers, alexa works on portuguese (PT-BR) and Sonos can add Alexa voice control in Brazil. However alexa can not controle my Sonos equipment and make it play a song I asked because the Sonos' Alexa Skill is not available on Brazil.You are a premium brand with excellent products. Please STOP shipping half baked services with your product. This disappoints the costumers so much. I read in other post in this community that the skill has become geo locked and the response the person got was "call Amazon". Alexa has been unable to see any Sonos devices starting last Sunday.  My Android app is version 08.06.04.  Also, the Sonos app lost its ability to see my Connect until I did a factory reset on the connect.

Have tried everything - re-set system but now when I try to add Alexa I get to ‘connect to Amazon then ‘the wheel of death’ with no connection. Driving me crazy, any ideas?

I've been searching and searching and can't seem to find an answer to this question.  Is it possible to set up multiple Spotify accounts and assign the different accounts to different voices within a household?  I know it's possible to add multiple Spotify accounts to the SONOS system and then choose which Spotify account you want to use by using the sonos app to control playback. What I want to do is link the accounts to voices so that if, for example, I say "alexa, play Fleetwood Mac", the system knows to use my Spotify account because it recognises my voice. Then if my wife is in another room and says "Alexa, play Quantic", it will play Quantic using her Spotify account. At the moment this doesn't happen - sonos will always use my account for Spotify if using voice assist to start any music.  This can also be troublesome if I'm listening to Spotify in the car. If my wife is at home and asks alexa to play music, sonos will use my Spotify account in the house and stop playback for me

I am having this exact problem.Radio Paradise Skill on Sonos One repeats the same few songs | Sonos CommunityIt has happened on both a One and Beam. Today, it repeated the same 2 minute section of a song over and over. When I pressed skip, it kept repeating the “thank you for listening to Radio Paradise” announcement over and over. Unfortunately, the above linked thread does not seem to offer a resolution.

Is anyone able to use Alexa through their Sonos speakers???All of a sudden last weekend, Alexa stopped responding through my Sonos One speakers. I spent 4 hours in a chat session with Amazon and they can’t figure out why the Alexa app shows all my Sonos devices as offline. I’ve uninstalled speakers in Sonos, I’ve disabled and re-enabled the  Sonos skill in Alexa and deleted and re-installed the Alexa app. I did each of these numerous times. I have to wonder, with the nightmare Sonos has put us through with the new app if they haven’t done something else that has now disabled Sonos from working with Alexa. Any info would be appreciated.

Since the recent updates, I’ve noticed the Alexa is unresponsive. It was hit and miss prior to the update anyway 😡

The closest topic I could find related to this issue is “Intermittent Alexa Voice Assistant.. Sonos Voice Control all OK!” , and it shows that the issue has been resolved. But I think it is happening again.TLDR: Just got the ERA 100 on 25 May, everything was great, “Hey Sonos” and Alexa is working well for the first 2 weeks (responds and performing tasks asked almost instantaneously), then from 10-11 June onwards Alexa starts to have problems.Problem:Alexa not responding to commands or questions AT ALL (the status light did show up indicating it is listening, but no response until the status light went off)   Sometimes it works as intended(maybe like 2 times out of 10), but only after more than 30 seconds after the command was given and status light went off.  Sometimes Alexa won’t finish listening - I would be in mid sentence like saying “Alexa, turn off the light” and the status light will go off before i even finish my sentence. Things I have tried: Power on/off for ERA 100, and wif

The SiriusXM Skill will now link with Alexa app. Some who use SiriusXM as a streaming service on Sonos may have noticed (or will notice) that Alexa when asked to play a SiriusXM music genre will say the following…To listen to SiriusXM go to the Alexa mobile app and link your account. Unfortunately, the Alexa Skill to link SiriusXM to Sonos and use the Alexa Voice assistant is broken within the Alexa Mobile app.. Upon attempting to link the SiriusXM Skill the following message appears...Unable to link the skill at this time, try again later (or something to that affect)Don’t panic! You can still add SiriusXM as a streaming service to Sonos and select your music genre and direct it to a Sonos speaker just as you would Apple Music, Spotify or any other streaming service. You just can’t request Alexa to play SiriusXM at this time.I’ve been in phone conversations with tech support for Alexa and SiriusXM. Neither seem to be aware of the issue alth

In the new app, I go all the way until it says signing in to Amazon. It stays there eternally. Tried everything. Deleted data, cache, restarted system, factory settings, etc. I can't pass that step to add Amazon Alexa to my speakers. 

Hi Sonos community,Whenever I start to play a radio station or a song from any music service via Alexa, it begins correctly but after 2-3 minutes, it cuts out and starts buffering on any speaker, whether it’s near or far from my WiFi router.What I’ve tried so far:    1.    Launching music from my iPhone using various music services (Spotify, YouTube Music, Radio France, etc.) – works perfectly.    2.    Connecting a speaker to my router via Ethernet and launching music via Alexa – same buffering issue as on WiFi.Has anyone experienced a similar issue? I can’t figure out how to fix it.

Hi,  Ever since changing my WiFi/broadband provider last month I’ve been unable to use Alexa on Sonos One. I finally got round to doing a fresh disabling of everything, factory reset and re-linking of accounts. Sonos Voice Control works fine. Alexa will operate the speaker if I make a voice command through the Alexa App, but if I try to speak to the One speaker directly it does not respond to the “Alexa” wake word command.  The skill is enabled in the Alexa app, it recognises the speaker and can communicate with them to turn on music. I’m guessing this is a bug and I’m sure what else to do.  

After upgrade to new sonos app. The alexa is not working on my Beam. And from alexa app, it appear the speaker is offline.. With this new app I am having problems with Alexa.  When I try to reset by removing everything from Alexa and removing the voice assistant from Sonos it wont let me remove Alexa from Sonos.  I was on the phone for 3 hours with Sonos with no luck.  Need level 2 support but cant get an appointment because there to busy.  Anyone have any ideas as to how to remove Alexa from Sonos so I can reset.

Hello, I'm trying to set up my roam 2, the Sonos voice assistant downloaded fine but I'm unable to add Alexa (works fine on all my other speakers). It says signing  into account and then I get a loading when indefinitely.  I've signed in and out of the Alexa app, and removed and re-addesd the Sonos skill, but still when I go back to the Sonos app to add Alexa is just says signing in to Alexa indefinitely.

When i ask Alexa to play music on my Spotify.. it says it cant play as i need to link on Alexa app.I have inked it and enabled the skill but still will not understand and continues to say will send a link but never does.. but the Alexa app is linked to Spotify

I’ve seen this question asked a few times here over the years with varying responses. Very much a first-world problem, but here’s the situation:I got an Era 100 for a vacation property to try it out.  I set it up no problem and mostly use it to play music via Alexa and Spotify or Pandora.  Happy with how it worked, I bought two more, one for home and another to pair with the first Era 100.Of course, I can’t get the various skills to work on the home one.  Alexa works for the Amazon-type stuff, but can’t do any skills like playing music.  From what I can tell, this is an Amazon-induced problem, but I don’t do any home automation through Alexa like lights.If at all possible, I really don’t like to have to open up an app in my phone to do  stuff like turn music on.So here’s the question: Am I best served going with Sonos in one house and something else like a Bose speaker in the other? My priority is to have things work the same way (i.e. I just say Alexa, do whatever, and it does it). It

When I go to add the voice assistant. Alexa tries to connect to Amazon but won't connect. It allows me to connect to Google. But I need Amazon Alexa because all my music is there.

my most recent problem is with alexa and grouping. I have about 10 different speakers group together at all times. I always have music playing out all of the speakers. When I ask alexa to play music, it works for the speaker that it was requested on and plays among all of the speakers in the group as it should. Well, not all of the speakers. The play 1’s are left out of the equation. They are still connected as a group and the volume control still slides back-and-forth, however, no audio comes out. The only way to make audio come out of the play ones is to launch the music from the app.  thoughts?

If I ask Alexa to play music then I loose my Bluetooth connection to my tv and have to reset it. I have to do this every time?

Since last night I can’t get Alexia on my Roam or Beam to play anything It says playing xxx from BBC sounds or xxx from Apple Music etc and that’s it. It never actually plays anythingIve rebooted router, and devices. Disconnect the skill in the Alexia app and reconnected and still the same.  Any ideas !
