I ask Alexa on the Move to: “Set volume to level 4” - and when I test it, indeed it is OK. But the next time I “Alexa” the volume is again way too load like before. How can I get the Move to hold the volume to which it is set by Alexa?? Thank you. Peter
Hi
Sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the volume on your Move.
The volume should stay the same until you change it again, either through Alexa or through the Sonos app. If you set the volume of the Move in the Sonos app, does it stick or does this also change again when you use Alexa?
I can’t say why the volume isn’t sticking, but I’d recommend waiting for the issue to occur again, submitting a diagnostics in the Sonos app, then contacting our support team. They have the necessary tools available to troubleshoot the issue with you and help resolve it.
I hope this helps!
Thank you . Will do.
Peter
This is not exactly the same situation because it involves Echo speakers. The results are similar enough that I thought maybe there is a relation to what’s happening with the Move. When I ask Alexa to play music through Echo speakers during dinner the volume is just right. When I’m doing dishes I ask Alexa to increase the volume to 50% so I can hear it better.
The next night I ask her to play music again. The volume, without any intervention, reverts back to the “just right” setting rather than the 50% dish washing volume. It seems there is a default volume setting in the Alexa app. Where it is I don’t know. I’m just wondering if the same thing is happening with the Move.
