Sonos One can play music from my phone, can command Alexa to provide weather etc, but when I ask ask Alexa to play radio station (eg. Radio 4), it replies “playing radio 4 (or Times radio or whatever) but then there is just silence. I have just changed my router but presumambly that is ot the problem as Alexa reponds, but it just doesn’t play the radio stations.

Any help would be appreciated.

If re-enabling Sonos in the Alexa app doesn’t work, did the station work previously? Does it play if you manually select it in the app? (so that’s not some geolocation issue that prevents playing some radio stations nowadays. I get that same from Alexa if it’s a station that’s restricted in my location. Sometimes a different station feed will say it’s prevented in my location.)

Many thanks.

I did a you sugested: I disabled the Sonos skill within the Alexa App and then Re-Enabled.

It took a bit of head scratching as Alexa couldn’t find the Sonos skill for quite a while, but all OK now.

Delete Amazon shopping app. Disable Sonos skill in Alexa app. Re Enable Sonos skill in Alexa app. In Sonos Settings, select Alexa as Voice Assistant. Voilà, but way too much trouble and digging for answers.
