How can I get my Sonos Roam SL to echo music/radio on my Alexa

New router fitted and can't get alexa on sound bar

I have an older Sonos Play 1 and Play 3 and they are great. They are all communicating with my Orbi mesh router and have been for years. Smartthings can’t seem to control them via the current app on my iPhone 14. I have several routines on Smartthings that will pause/play the speakers at given times. Here’s the rub...the Sonos speakers will no longer accept commands from the Smartthings app. However, the Smartthings app DOES recognize a change in status! If I try to control the Sonos via the Smartthings app, nothing happens. Yet, if I control a speaker via the Sonos app, the Smartthings app notices the change! So, we know that the Smartthings “sees” the speakers and knows status but won’t control. I’ve deleted and reconnected the Sonos devices to the Smartthings app and it works...ONCE. I’m thinking that the Smartthings app is the issue as the Sonos app and Alexa all control the Sonos with no problem. iPhone 14 iOS 16.6Oh… and what is the WAP Tigger (trigger?). I look up the definition

I have Alexa whisper mode on but it responds loudly. I have tested it on Era 100 and One. It works on One but not Era 100.

Hi, I have a recent model Sonos Arc with built-in voice control. I click Services & Voice > add a voice assistant - and the only option i see is ‘sonos voice control’. Where is Amazon Alexa? I have the Alexa app, linked to sonos & signed in. I want to be able to use the Arc’s microphone instead of opening the app every time. Also note - sonos voice control works fine when i enable it, but it wont connect to Spotify so is therefore not useful. 

I am constantly getting the “I can’t reach the internet right now” from Google Assistant (GA) running on both my Sonos One speakers. GA on my phone has no such issues and neither do three Google Home Minis in my home. The speakers themselves have Wifi connections because I can use the Sonos app to play musing on them with no issues. Suggestions? Tried to reconnect GA but now it stuck on “This may take a minute. if its taking too long, try again”.I’m using Nest wifi pro. had no problems with my sonos system for years… 

Hi.I like to start browsing Video services while still playing music and turn off Autoplay, if I don’t forget it. Otherwise obviously the music stops. Would be great if I could turn off/on Autoplay with Alexa or Sonos Voice Control.what do you think?regards,mao

Hello!I’ve recently had to redo my home network from scratch which unfortunately included my Sonos Play:5. But it just doesn’t seem to work anymore, I’m following all instructions, factory reset all involved systems, updated all apps, Sonos works fine on the Sonos app but it refuses to link to the google assistant.  Google home app → Devices → Set up a device → Pick Sonos → Link account, continue → [here I come to login.ws.sonos.com]Continue → Allow google to control your sonos, Okay → [oauth-redicrect.googleusercontent.com, blank page with a link saying “Return to app” that doesn’t load anything]Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks to anyone reading this.

Today Google Assistant on my Sonos speakers started adding “Sorry, I didn’t understand” in response to many commands, even though the GA activity log shows that it heard the command correctly and in many cases did actually execute it correctly. The same commands continue to work fine on every other Google Home and Google Assistant speaker - only commands via Sonos produce this problem.Sonos, this dispute with Google is getting pretty tiresome. I hear you’ve been making podcast comments about not wanting to invest in updates for Google Assistant. Funny how every other old non-Sonos speaker with Google Assistant doesn’t seem to be having the same problems. Isn’t it about time you just came out and admitted that you’re going to drop support for Google Assistant because you got into a legal spat? Don’t worry about upsetting your customers, we’re already angry.

Hi All, I switched to Sonos Voice Control (SVC) several months ago and loved the fact that it was more accurate than Alexa because it had a narrower list of things to do.  However, more recently, I’ve started to notice that there is an error with the way that it works with Apple Music. I have never used SVC with any other music service.  What seems to be happening is this: I say “Hey Sonos - play Out of Touch by Hall and Oats”  SVC correctly interprets my request and finds the correct song from somewhere (i’ll come back to this point).  The song is not played.  To the user it seems like the voice command didn’t work. I check the app and it shows the correct song, but it is not playing.   I click “Play” and I get the message “This item is no longer available.”  If I search for Out of Touch by Hall and Oats manually on the app, the album version which Sonos found earlier is not displayed, and I am instead shown a different version.  For example, whereas SVC found and tried to play “The V

My SmartThings Hub can’t find my 3 Amp. I have try connected Amp by ethernet and wifi. My other speaker (Play1, Play5, Symfonisk) work great with SmartThings. But my Amp isn’t find.I have try with the Search near by and by the Sonos make.My SmartThings Hub is connected by ethernet on the same network.How can I have my Amp in the ST Hub ?

Hi All,Recently I’ve noted that my Sonos Play One (Alexa control switched off) no longer ducks when I make an Alexa request to the Dot that is part of the Dining Room Group.  The Sonos is the preferred speaker in this group, and it’s frustrating having to BELLOW commands to Alexa as the Play One no longer lowers the volume when an Alexa request is made.Is anyone else seeing this issue ….. again!?Cheers,Ripface

After asking something from Google Assistant, Sonos or Google Assistant stops listening.On Google devices I had the chance to have a follow up question or keep talking to google, like in a normal conversastion:Simple example: - Hey Google, set a timer for 3 minutes.- OK a timer was set for 3 minutes.- Thanks!​​​​​​​- I’m honored to serve!Now on Sonos this never happens anymore, because Sonos stops listening after it set the timer.Doest anyone know why is this?

I have 2 tvs each with a Beam. When I say Alexa turn on tv it is turning on the wrong tv (1)..did not behave like this before. I have disconnect voice assistant on tv 1 but it still understands the on command and tv 2 does not.

I ask Alexa to “Play The Rolling Stones”. Alexa responds with “This Is The Rolling Stones from Spotify”. Nothing happens. I have tried uninstalling Alexa and Installing Google Assistant. Same result. Have reset the One back to factory settings. Have installed and uninstalled the Sonos app. No joy. Nothing on the Sonos status page to indicate any outages or problems. Not a good introduction to Sonos for my first product bought yesterday. Any solutions or suggestions welcomed. Why doesnt my sonos 1 with alexa complete my verbal command to 'play Jazz on Pandora'?  Sonos 1 repeats: 'playing jazz on Pandora' BUT-- doesnt play the station at all, just silence.   However, when I use sonos 1 via sonos app/room, it plays the pandora station I requested? How can I fix this?  

I own an Arc connected to 2 symfonisk as surround. Is it possible to turn on and off the lights of the symfonisk via the Arc’s voice control?

Hi,I'm using Alexa on my Sonos Move in French being based in France since 18monthsSomewhen in the last 6 months, it started to switch to English randomly during the process, for example during the flash update, starting in French and suddenly switch to English. It is annoying when Alexa is reading something and is reading a French text with an English accent.I made the test in all the other Amazon built Alexa devices I have and do not experience this issue. I also delinked and relinked my Amazon account to my Sonos Move + update it, all of this didn't change anything.Any idea?   

I have enabled Alexa on my Sonos One and Roam speakers. One is in the master bedroom the other is in the master bath. I created a group for bedroom and I e doe bathroom. I then combine them into a group call upstairs. Both rooms and both speakers show up in the new combined group. But when I say Alexa play <Spotify playlist> on Upstairs" it only plays on the bedroom Sonos. I have deleted the group and recreates it but nothing I do seems to get music on both speakers. No idea what is going wrong here.

When asking to play music from apple music via voice control I get the following answer Apple Music is not activated on your system while it is.anyone has the same issue? 

Hello,I have 4 zoneplayers100. THey work great, but recently one of them stopped responding to API call from third party. In my smarthome (home assistant), the sonos keeps appearing and disappearing and is not controllable.When I try to reach the webpage, I get ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED.Does anybody have an idea how to solve this? 

I set up voice match through Google Assistant. on my Sonos One and started having issues, so then turned it off.  Now the Google Assistant  will not play spotify or add to my lists.  It keeps saying to turn on personal results.  When I try to turn on personal results through my phone, it automatically toggles it to OFF again.  I’ve rebooted, deleted, unlinked, relinked etc.  The issue is just sticking.  Please help to fix this Assistant bug.

I keep getting the error “Could not connect Sonos right now. Please try again later.” when trying to connect Sonos to IFTTT.  Any ideas?
