Hi Had the Arc (and Alexa) working fine for a few months now. Noticed today that Alexa isn’t functioning properly. Ie, says ok if you ask it to to turn tv off/on, but it doesn’t carry out the task.  I’ve removed and r enabled Alexa from the Sonia app. Also confirmed Arc still listed in Bravia sync list.Is there anything else I should try?  Thanks

OK MAIS, si je reviens et j’allume le salon par exemple et si je dis “Alexa, Bonne nuit” de nouveau pour éteindre les lumières, la TV se rallume.J’avoue je suis à court d’idées… par avance merci pour votre aide.

I have an Alexa Show 5 in my kitchen and a Sonos Beam in my bedroom.  Several times, although not every time, when I say to the Alexa, “Play WFCR”.  It will play it on the Sonos Beam in my bedroom. I do not want it to do that unless I specifically tell it to do that.  (For example, I want to listen in the kitchen while my wife is still asleep.)BTW, the Alexa in the kitchen will respond “Playing WFCR on Sonos Bedroom.”  So, I know it is the guilty party here.I do not have any groups. The rooms are not the same.How can I prevent this from happening?

Yonomi has now sunsetted. I was using that app to group all of my speakers in the middle of the night prior to my morning alarm going off. My alarm is a radio station and I want to hear it in the whole house as I get ready in the morning. I have looked at IFTTT and it doesn’t look like that is possible. I have also looked at Apple shortcuts but that isn’t possible. I have Apple products only, no android. I have Alexa as well as Google at home. Any suggestions??? It is just maddening that Sonos hasn’t made this possible yet!!!

Fyi at some point I could no longer ask my Alexa Dot to “Play Some Music” with it then playing on my preferred Sonos speaker. To be clear I am not referring to commanding the built-in Alexa on the Sonos speaker itself. I am commanding the Alexa Dot with my music choice which is then being re-routed to the preferred Sonos speaker (as to avoid listening to music on the small anemic speaker inside the Alexa Dot).First step in troubleshooting this issue: I confirmed all Sonos speakers were working as they should via the Sonos app.In the Sonos app I also confirmed that the particular Sonos speaker I wanted to integrate with my Alexa Dot was indeed logged into the same Alexa/Amazon Voice Assistant Account as the associated Alexa Dot (not sure if this is necessary or not).I then went through the current list of Devices in the Alexa app and deleted/trashed all existing Sonos speakers.I then disabled the Sonos skill in the Alexa app.I then re-enabled the So

New here. I have two rooms set up (one has a single Sonos One, other has a Sonos Move and Beam). Whenever I tell Alexa on the One to play a song on Amazon Music, it plays on the One and the Beam simultaneously. I’ve been looking around trying to figure out why and I’m drawing a blank. I don’t have any multi room setups, I’ve enabled and disabled the Alexa skill multiple times and it just keeps doing it. Any advice on this would be great

It's one thing that Google Assistant is missing, but the fact is Sonos Voice is rubbish. I asked Sonos "Hey Sonos, play [Song] by [Artist] everywhere" and it said it doesn't understand. Yet in the app, you can choose to play a song 'everywhere'. It also doesn't understand "Hey Sonos, play LBC radio". Also no Spotify control with Sonos Voice. Come on Sonos, I know you’re in dispute with Google, but their assistant is so much better. You’ve got to implement this ASAP for the Era range, the current voice assistant is unusable! 

I have 6 Sonos speakers in 4 different rooms as well as 2 units outside that I use to listen to the TV playing in the living room. After turning on the TV, I have to go the Sonos app and click on "Everywhere" in order to activate all the speakers. Each speaker is set to the volume that is best used in that space. For years after my Sonos was installed, I could tell Alexa to change the volume on the Sonos in the room I was in, and as long as the other speakers did not hear the command, they did not change volume. A while ago, after working with Sonos techs on an unrelated problem, I was no longer able to do this. When I tell Alexa to change the volume in one room, it changes all the speakers. If I am washing dishes and want to quickly change volume to hear something, I now have to dry my hands, go find my phone, open the app, get to the right location, and manually change that speaker's individual volume. Hi All...hope there’s some help out there.I have had Sonos Play, moved away for a while, but back now with Era100 and Deezer as my subscribed streaming service. I have Sonos voice control (SVC) activated. SVC recognises and plays, say, The Ink Spots but will not recognise and play Slim Whitman. This is one example, there are many - it will not find Shostakovich Romance The Gadfly or Opus 97a - none of these trigger a response through Deezer, even though I have manually found the music I wanted through these keywords in the app search, and played them. What gives with this? I have a perfectly well rounded English voice, with no regional accent and am speaking clearly and close enough. I can elicit a response for Goldfrapp, Orbital, The Ink Spots etc, but not, it seems, the more rarely requested? I’m in the US and own a sonos move. I’ve been trying to enable Alexa on the app, but it isn’t even offered as an option. No google assistants either. The only thing that shows is the Sonos voice assistant.Any ideas would be appreciated 

When will Sonos Voice Control work ok with Youtube Music? I want to speak to my Sonos Roam in the bathroom. Giving commands like «play something from Nirvana», «play relaxing music».Not able to do this. I can’t believe it! Please fix this already.When will Sonos get this basic functionality?

Hi, previously when I added Sonos devices that have Alexa, they both show up as speakers but also can be selected in a group (room) to be the primary or one of several echos in the room that can then control certain functions (like when saying “Alexa, turn on lights” it can be limited to just turning on lights in that room.However, yesterday added a pair of Era 100 speakers, enabled Alex, and it is added and has Alexa enabled, but when I go to the app to add the Sonos speakers, I can add them as the speakers to a group for control, but neither speaker shows up specifically as an Echo device I can add to the group. Anyone else experience this, and how you remedied?  I tried taking Alex off and re-enabling, hoping this would fix things, but it is not.

If I have my computer on, will Sonos voice assistance play songs from my Music Library?

Just got Yonomi’s 30-day notice “sunset” email hence this request.  I currently use Yonomi routines to control the inputs to the Sonos Amp that plays through the speakers on our DeckIf I say “Alexa turn on Deck Cable” then the audio output from our Virgin box is played via line-in and the volume set to 35If I say “Alexa turn on Deck Radio” then a Radio Staion I have in my Sonos favorites is set to play and Volume set to 50If I say “Alexa turn off Deck Cable” or “Turn off Deck Radio” then The Amp pauses.Can anyone suggest an easy (preferably free!) way to replicate this?Many thanksJust found out that as Line In can be added to “My Sonos” I should be able to use IFTTT to access it - when I first automated this that wasn’t possible so I had to use Yonomi.  Just need to work my way round editing in IFTTT.  Yonomi was so easy to do.Found that editing IFTTT in Windows much easier than in IOS app - just need to decide if its worth £2

I think the community is aware that to use two Sonos systems in two locations (e.g. primary home and vacation home) we are currently required to have separate accounts for each.  This forces an upgrade to a family plan for Prime Music Unlimited or paying for two separate accounts.  Given how long this issue has been out there, it doesn’t seem likely allowing us to use one account on either system is happening soon.  I do understand the single stream restriction is from Amazon based on my individual subscription plan, however I do think Sonos could make it easier on their user community for finding a creative compromise.  For example, since the system needs to be linked to an account, why not make it selectable within the Sonos 2 app.  I can pick which system is “active” with my account and that makes the other system inactive until I select otherwise.  Right now, my option is to delete it from one, set it up at the other and then repeat the process when I go home.  A lot of extra wo

I’ve been using a Sonos One with SVC and Alexa for 5 months. Recently, SVC stopped responding, so I tried removing it and reinstalling, but it fails near the end of the SVC installation process every time. I’ve tried from 2 different devices with the same result.  Today I’ve done a reset of the One and tried again, but it still fails. Alexa and music services appear to be working normally. Any suggestions?Moderator edit: combined posts:Scrub that! Since the system reset now Alexa won’t play any music. Internet queries are fine and Airplay still works 😞 Ok, got Alexa working again by removing the Sonos skill and re-adding it. Still can’t install SVC. I should add that I’m running the latest App and firmware versions available. The installation appears to fail at around 90% progress.

I was quite frankly shocked that the new and improved Move 2 actually has diminished functionality compared to its predecessor. It’s jarring to discover that a new generation of technology is less integrated, less compatible and less useful. Like many in this community, I’ve set up a vast wireless system complete with several smart devices and Sonos has always been an integral component to controlling the entire system. I hope that this will be resolved, otherwise perhaps the original Move and all of the older Google Assistant compatible Sonos speakers are the better solution. This is a real shame since great audio quality is what we’re here for, but not without the utility we’ve come to expect from Sonos. Thanks so much.Perry

Sonos randomly thinks someone has asked it a question and provides a useless (and loud) answer to the non-question.  It doesn’t happen often but it’s often unnerving if it does. It has nothing to do with the TV being on, as has been given as “the” answer on questions from other users.  It doesn’t ususally happen then. It sometimes happens when no one is in the room where Sonos lives. I am told to turn voice control off, and I may do that, but isn’t this a bug in SONOS software that they should fix?

Dear community,My family consists of me (father), my wife and my two sons. We have SONOS speakers all over the house, among them Play One’s in my kid’s rooms. We all have the SONOS S2 app installed on our individual iPhones, and each of us is logged into his or her own respective account of Apple Music Family, also being logged in to each one’s individual account of the Apple Music Family service on each one’s SONOS app. The SONOS system is registered to me.Obviously, we want to prevent that our four different music tastes are mixed. All works fine as long as the (Apple Music or SONOS) apps are used. Even when started by everyone’s SONOS app, the library, “recently played” section and music suggestions on the Apple Music accounts do not mix, it’s all allocated to the right account.Now enter voice control. My sons have Sonos One’s in their rooms and I understand that only one Apple Music account can be allocated to the houshold’s Alexa. Then we tried Sonos Voice

I can’t seem to play any playlist from either Apple Music or My Sonos using Voice Control.  Can using app.Just installed new One’s and Move’s on my existing Connect and Play1 system.  Love the voice control, but something doesn’t seem right.Removed Apple Music and reinstalled.  Also made Apple Music default.Observation:  Within Apple Music App the playlists are shown in a typical list with a color logo for each.  Within Sonos App, under Apple Music, the playlists are shown without a logo but also not all are shown.  Under “recently added” what appears to be all the Apple playlists are shown and most have a color logo.  All this makes me think there’s a syncing issue or something.Ideas on how to resolve?

I am a long time Amazon Music + Assistant user on my Sonos One, and am attempting to change to Apple Music.  Since my listening workflow is calling out songs or bands using voice-control, which works fairly well with Amazon, I am trying to use the Sonos Voice Assistant with my new Apple Music sub.Here is my problem -- accuracy is ABYSMAL for me so far!  I’m not seeing this complaint often online, so I wonder (and hope) I am doing something wrong.  The Sonos Assistant is using Apple Music (in fact I disconnected Amazon entirely from Sonos to make sure it wasn’t causing issues), but nearly all of my requests are failing entirely or being mistaken.  Here is a sample workflow:Q: “Hey Sonos.  Please the song ‘Solitary Man’ by ‘Crooked Fingers’”  A: “Sorry, I didn’t understand what you asked for.  Do you want to play something by Crooked Fingers instead?” Q: “Hey Sonos.  Play the song ‘Solitary Man’ A: [Plays ‘Solid Men to the Front’]

Hi  I have a weird issue. For years I have been able to turn on/off my TV through voice command using google assistant on my Sonos One. Suddenly this has stopped working, and the google assistant in Sonos says “Sorry unknown error has occured on [name of my chromecast]” (this error might not be precise, I have translated it from my native language). I am able to for example pause/unpause the chromecast using voice command. If if say the exact same turn on/off command using the Assistant app on my phone the TV turns on/off. I have tried unlinking/removing my assistant both in Google Home app, and in the Sonos. Linked it again, and went through the setup process, but the same error occurs. I have also tried renaming my Chromecast (found that advice in a similar thread), but same result. Both my Sonos One and Chromecast has newest firmware. If i go to 

I have no problem using the app to play music from the music service Napster. but when I try to play music using Sonos Voice Control, it says that it cannot do that until I register with a music service. I tried to name Napster as my default music service but the app says that Napster is incompatible. I m using the app with the Sonos Roam, which I will have to return if I can’t play music with the voice controls (which is why I bought it).
