I recently upgraded my Sonos Playbar for an Arc with the discount and I wonder if I can gift the old Playbar to my daughter or has it been made unusable?Thank you.

SHORT VERSIONI will soon do a hardware upgrade of the S1-only components of a Sonos system that is currently split between S1 and S2, and want to unify those separate systems into a single S2 system. What is the correct process for doing this, particularly in regards to when I add the new components?The online documentation I have found does not directly address some of the concerns I mention in the long version. Hi Sonos folks. I wanted to share an issue that I hadn’t yet seen info about here. I lost connection to my existing system and could not fully reconnect all speakers and other components by rebooting router, factory resetting speakers, etc. I did an online chat with a Sonos support agent who was very friendly and responded quickly. He instructed me to contact my ISP (Verizon) to have them enable “bridge mode” on my router to fix Wi-Fi network conflict issues between my Verizon router and my Google mesh network. I asked if my recently connecting a mesh point via an Ethernet cable might be the problem. The agent said no. As a test I disconnected the Ethernet cable from that mesh point and my Sonos connection issues were resolved after I rebooted my router.  Bridge mode is a common issue for many. But it wasn’t the issue for me. Connecting a mesh point via an Ethernet cable is what blew things up.  I hope this helps others. Peace. 

Link Google has successfully convinced a California federal judge that it did not infringe on Sonos' multi-room audio patents. As Reuters reports, US District Judge William Alsup has thrown out a previous verdict that slapped the tech giant with a $32.5 million fine for infringing on patents held by Sonos related to managing groups of speakers.The judge explained that Sonos' patents for the lawsuit "ostensibly descended from [a] 2006 provisional application." However, the company apparently didn't file the applications for the patents in question until 2019, and it didn't roll out the technology to its own products until 2020. That's years after Google, in 2014, presented Sonos with a plan to use multi-room audio technology while exploring a collaboration. Maybe we can get Chromecast on Sonos now, or Google Assistant on new speakers :) (JOKING)

I activated the credit for the discount on my 2 sonos one sl that i use for surround and intend on buying 2 era 300 to use as surround.The question is if i can still use my 2 sonos one sl or do they get deactivated or something like that?

It would be nice to have a Sonos widget on the upcoming Echo Hub and current Echo Show 15. This widget would display the current playing music or favorite playlists for easy control.

Hello community ! I came here for some help so any answers would be greatly appreciated . And please I only ask to lessen all the technical rubbish from your answers please and thank you . So basically a yes or no and if yes an explanation / instruction on how to . I know some technical stuff but am new to it all and it will drive me nuts and most likely confuse me lol . So here goes , I have had bad luck with my Sony Bravia A90J 4k tv , both my 120hz 4k hdmi ports have QUIT  working so,,, currently I have no use of getting Dolby Atmos sound or true 4K 120 hz video while streaming 4k content with Dolby Atmos sound available on my tv or with the PS5. :( My current set up is I have my Play Station  5 hooked up to my Sony tv’s hdmi 1 port ( Enhanced setting turned on with my tv settings for that hdmi output )and my Sonos Arc hooked up with the Digital optical cable ( that came with the Arc) to my Sony Tv digital cable input .My tv settings for audio is with the arc use turned off ( becaus

Hi - all of my other speakers, amps, and subs show up on my registered products list, and all the legacy devices show on the upgrades page except for one speaker, a Sonos 1. This speaker does show up on the S1 app.  How do I register it and also make it eligible for an eventual move to the S2 architecture.Thanks!

Hi there,in the app, I see the option to increase/decrease the audio delay, but is there a way to turn it off completely.I’m probably not using the Era as intended.. I have connected via the Line-In adapter to an old Yamaha Keyboard. Play is to use it as the speaker for the keyboard and an extra speaker for the room at other times. Even the low 75ms delay makes it difficult to play the keyboard and feel natural. 

What is the meaning of the term OTP in the About my system settings?

I think a baby monitor feature would be an amazing feature in the sonos ecosystem.  as a parent I have spent over 300 dollars on baby monitors when I already have a mic and speaker (sonos one) in all bedrooms and living room bestchristian 

Any chance that the Sonos app will support a widget for iOS 17s Standby mode? Kind of seems like a no brainer really. It’s almost like it was meant to be.

I have compressed audio but the adverts on heart radio are still loud. Why is this ?

The Sonos app on my iPhone almost always returns the wrong selection when I push one of my saved favorites. It is ridiculous. It displays the proper logo but very rarely does it actually play the station I have requested and it indicates. It makes storing favorites useless. Does anyone else have this problem?

Does anyone have an issue trying to access their system details or profile on the SONOS webiste i.e. it just keeps cycling?I use Safari as a standard but have tried Chrome and it’s no better. The page just keeps reloading time after time

I am unable to change my profile name. It always defaults to some computer generated name.

Hello Sonos,Years after years i bought your products to fill my house, i have 4x S1 products, and i wanted a new one to control everything with voice. But i can’t, because voice is only S2, and i don’t believe your marketing b******t : if i can launch a playlist on my Sonos via a Mini Google Home, there is absolutly no reason you can’t do that yourself. Also, you changed your data privacy policy to sell our data instead of developing tour own secure system, after spending all this money to buy your stuff, this is a very bad move. I lost confidence, you lost another customer. You could have been a great company that care about planned obsolescence, but you are not, i will spread the message. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

The first thing I have to say is that I am a big Sonos fan, especially when it comes to audio, and this caught my attention from the first sound, so I'm here with a beam bar, 2 play 1s, and a play 5. I have everything wired except the play 5, everything works perfectly, but the play 5. Now. I have reserved my play 5 IP and make it static, it works good for some time, the it disappears and I have to plug it off and plug it back in to make it work. Now, to my title, I have seen many people complaining here and there about sonos dissapearing from the app, usually the people got the blame for x or y, but the fact that the system needs an auto refresh recover system that won’t imply the user doing technicalities, in a perfectly working wifi with low noise and good reception, is just needed, is totally there! You guys from Sonos blaming always the users won’t help this great company, is always the situation with the user having “not done something” but is never the system, come on! Set a goo

I have not performed the 15.6 update yet. I see complaints about no volume control on iPhone / iPad. Are we saying I can’t control the volume with slider on the Sonos app anymore after the update? 

I have used Sonos daily for more than 15 years and I’m really just tired of a buggy product that has below average support.  I love Sonos when it works but I’m just exhausted by constant troubleshooting and ready to invest in our next system.  Does anyone in this community have any recommendations other than Sonos?
