We listen to local radio stations using Sonos in our dental office. How do we eliminate commercials? There are a few embarrassing commercials while seeing patients?

Which service are you using to start the radio play? Some services have pre-roll ads before they play the station.

Sonos Radio offers the paid “HD” version which says it’s ad-free (though I never tried it).

Of course if the station has in-stream ads then there’s nothing Sonos can do about it.

The HD version is ad-free, but they do have some 5 second inserts where they mention the station name and possible what track just played.  They definitely have some uncensored channels you wouldn’t want to play in a dentist office.

Local radio stations typically don’t offer a subscription, ad free version.  Here is a list of streaming services, click a the “Licensed for Commercial Use” box to filter.
