I have the Fire HD 7 4th generation using OS 5.6.8.0..Sonos S2 App is not supported. What can I do if anything?

Hi all - I just purchased a vacation home & want to:Set up 3 new speakers at my new locationUse the same App & services already established in my primary residence, to control the new speakers.WIFI network & name will be distinctDo I set up the speakers as new, or connect to existing system?I do not want separate accounts & I DO want to be able to access the services already set up for this.Thanks for the help.

I'm having a wired SonosNET setup. (playbar is wired). The sub, 4 ONE's and the PORT are not wired, but will strengthen the SonosNET mesh setup (i was told)As I still encounter an occasional drop out (Wifi is on channel 1, SonosNET is on channel 11), I'm wondering if it would help to also wire the PORT….or to purchase an additional BOOST.In case a BOOST is suggested, should I then wire this one? Or will it also strengthen the SonosNET being wireless?Thanks upfront for your suggestions.

I would like the sub level to be discrete for music/tv - as per the surrounds when grouped with an Arc. Being able to adjust the surrounds (in my case 2x play5 g2) is great, but the sub is stuck at a single level - I have to set to -4 at least on most good films/shows but then move back to 0 for music

It’s a good app but running on macos it starts out at 100mbs which is fine but keeps growing until it’s using 1GB of memory. (on the latest sonos desktop app and version of MacOs).  Needs fixing

I have always been using the Sonos App, with the Deezer music service connected. This works, but the functionality available is never as good as the Deezer app itself. The Deezer app couldn’t play on the Sonos speakers though, so I never used it.I just discovered that Deezer has (finally) allowed us to connect to Sonos from the Deezer App. Select the “Audio Output” with Airplay. I now see my more recent Beam and from there can group some of my older speakers. This is great, as I now can use all of the functionality in the Deezer App, not the limited set from the Sonos App/Deezer plugin.The big surprise though is this sounds better. I’m not sure if I’m imagining it or not, but there seems to be a marked improvement in sound. The songs I’m playing now are all marked “HQ”, but AFAIK I was streaming high quality audio using the previous Sonos App with Deezer configuration.Is it possible I really am getting better sound with this configuration?

I am looking for best wireless speakers. A lot of document recommended KEF lsx , klipsch fives and naim muso qb... Why should I buy sonos five?

My system is setup on a 2021 LG 77CX - using hdmi e-arc input & hard wired to Wi-Fi. The system was set up with true play and seem to have worked as designed. when watching movies thru Netflix/prime tv including Dolby digital rarely if ever do I hear sound effects from the two rear speakers. any suggestions?

Why is it such a d***dance to connect to everything.  I am $5K in to this product and love it after it takes an month to set it up.   The Roam and trying to connect to bluetooth has ruined one raod trip hotel party and 2 golf games.  Stop trying to be cute and innovate and just do what every other speaker does on the market and connect to bluetooth with a simple button.  Seriously, its f*****g annoying how much work it takes to get your product to work.  I have bought everything in the line up and love the sound quality when it works but it is serioulsy a 12/10 on the D**dance scale to connect to it at any given time Less getting cute on trying to get us to pay for radio stations and put all of the focus on R&D doing the simple things to make your premium priced speakers work without the hassle that you haven’t worked through If you have 5 pages of FAQ’s on how to solve problems then clearly you haven’t got there yourselfBe better please

I have the 5 Gen 1 speaker.  The bridge stopped working.  Should I replace with boost or upgrade to the newest Sonos system?  If I don’t get the boost I know I can directly plug my router into the speaker but I won’t be able to move the speaker around the house.  Can I bypass the router completely by using my phone’s network to access the internet?  Thank you.  

So it’s been months since S2. Before the update, S1 was already able to play back flac 24/48. The promise was of more HiRes audio to come. I sold my gen1 connect in anticipation, bought a Port. And waited. I can still play the only same files as before, I’m a couple hundred pounds down, and feeling a little duped to be honest. Just curious whether there are others feeling the same....

Hi,I am trying to figure out how I can use sonos (and also which sonos devices) using it both as audio output for my beamer and to listen to music from a DVD/CD player and stream from a smartphone.I will basically have a TV and a Beamer as outputs:TV : Video & Audio output (HDMI) - using the TV speaker as audio output Beamer: Video output (HDMI) - the Audio which goes to the beamer should always go to the Sonos SetupI want to do the following setup using an HMDI Matrix 4x2:Inputs: Apple TV DVD/CD Player TV Box Computer or Gaming setupOutputs:TV (Video & Audio) Beamer (Video) - Audio to Sonos Setup (coaxial or optical)The idea was to get the sounds from a pair of Sonos One (or One SL?). But maybe I also require more equipment. Anyone could help?

I just recently bought the beam for my small apartment and I’m looking to expand to the 5.1 surround setup. Should I get the Play:1s or Ones for my rears first or the sub first? I want to gradually get to the 5.1 because of the cost.

Hello all, I have been mostly a lurker here and really appreciate how much info everyone has shared. This morning I solved a pesky problem and wanted to share.I have several Sonos around the house (using wired connection/SonosNet) but this specific problem relates to my upstairs room where I have an old Yamaha receiver, Sony CD player and Audio Technica turntable wired to a sub and non-powered speakers. The receiver is hooked up to a Sonos Connect. In the room are two G1 Play:5s. All this played together well for a couple of years, with no lags when playing LPs or CDs. That started about a month ago. Boo! I went through the forums and tried adjusting compression, selecting AutoPlay, changing channels, etc. without success. Hello.  We are buying a new house that has 3 sets of speakers each connected to Sonos amps.  Each set of speakers is in a different area of the house.  We would like to buy a Sonos arc and connect it to the TV in the living room.  Is it possible to wirelessly connect the sound coming from the TV into the Sonos arc to the amps so the TV sound is broadcast to the speakers in the other rooms of the house.  I think the answer is yes, but wanted to make sure before we make the decision to order the Arc.   Thank you!

I have Sonos in several rooms but have only used it to watch TV or listen to Apple Music. I recently added two Moves for my backyard and love them. I now want to add a projector and 120” screen and would really like to play the audio through the Move speakers. Is there a way to get audio from the projector to the Moves, either through the app or Bluetooth? The source for the projector will likely be a Tivo Mini, Xbox, or Roku connected by HDMI. The only thing I could come up with was to connect my Arc in the family room to the projector to get audio on Sonos and then group the Moves with the Arc. I could then turn the volume all the way down on Arc and up on the Moves. That feels way too convoluted and I’m hoping someone here can steer me to something simpler.

The Sonos S2 app loses access to my wireless speakers. Rebooting the router works, however, using the app the next day all access to the speakers is lost and I have to reboot the router again. The only things that have changed recently is that I have moved to Sonos S2 app and have upgraded to iOS14.4 (and yesterday to iOS14.5). The version of the S2 app is 13.0.5, build 62.1.88070. The problem only started happeningwithin the last week, which is when 13.0.5 was installed.

Is anyone else getting the error message when trying to set up their Sonos One?“Something came up. The application has cancelled the request to choose a device.”I recently moved house and tried to connect my Sonos and this keeps popping up.Old house had no problems and i’ve never seen this message before.I am on a new Wifi system.What i’ve done so far:Factory reset the Sonos. The app recognises the Sonos One Begins to try and find Wifi and shows a Wifi i’ve never seen before (See image below)and if I click it, the error message pops up.I have tried on both the Sonos S1 app and the Sonos S2 app.I think it may be an issue with my phone? Please, please SONOS let us be able to save a couple of sound profiles in the APP!I switch between Music, TV and Movies with my Beam and x2 Ones, and one EQ/SOund setting for all doesn’t work.Movies over Netflix are extremely Bass heavy and surrounds overpower the BEAM.Music is perfect& TV needs more Treble.  Please allow me to save my desired Sound settings under 1 button in the APP, so I don’t have to faff about depending on what I am listening too. Hi all. Current set up = Beam,Sub and pair 1’s in living room.   I'm getting a Connect amp with a pair of passive outdoor speakers for alfresco area. Can I group the alfresco speakers to the living room, so I can listen to football when out there. I’m hoping I don’t have run cables from the amp to the tv.  Cheers

Hi all,I have a Sonos ARC, Sub(GEN 3), and One SLs setup for my living. When I added my One SLs as surrounds this week, I noticed that the two upfiring drivers from the ARC were moved to the One SLs when testing with Dolby Atmos 5.1.2. file (so no sounds from upfiring speakers). Besides, I had also tested with some Atmos movies from Netflix and Disney+ and confirmed the same. Moreover, I can't hear any difference by adjusting the height level while playing the Dolby Atmos test file.  If you have a similar setup as mine, do you experience the same or it is just me? P.S. My Samsung TV has no Dolby Atmos support (ARC HDMI port only) but I a

I am trying to use my sonos one and my sonos move with lg cinebeam projector..the sonos move works great but i cant get thesonos one to join.  Is there a way to make this work

I am planning to connect 3 pairs of speakers to a single Sonos Amp (2 pairs of in-ceiling speakers and 1 pair of outdoor speakers).  Is it possible to listen to music on a single pair of speakers without having the other two pairs playing music?  Thanks in advance.
