Hi all , had a weird repetitive chime sound coming out of my beam . Happened for 2 days . Forums intimidated an alarm but checked the app and dates no alarm set. When playing music the chime seemed to dominate and could just about here music played through it . Turned off and left off for ages - nothing - them all of a sudden all ok today . Any ideas what is was as I fear it may return ? Thanks
This is going to be a controversial post but I believe it needs to be discussed.. I have both the move and the roam and I love them both. Every time I take a trip I beg myself to bring the move but I look at my backpack I have to carry on the airplane and the weight of the move and the roam always wins…Then, I get to my hotel room and fire up the roam and start playing music and somehow I miss my speakers at home and wish I had taken the move.Size is everything and I know there is only so much sound a small little lightweight speaker can provide.. so I ask the question, can any other speaker in the size footprint and price range of the roam deliver better sound? I come from the Bose world and replaced my soundlink 2 with the roam and it definitely sounds better than the Bose but still lacking for me…
Hi, I have a 24” touchscreen monitor built into the wall (Mainly to scroll through a photos screensaver).More a question to Sonos tech’s or designers, can there be touchscreen mode/option in the Sonos windows settings? The size of the volume and track playing is terrible to adjust with a touch finger.! I cant slide to well with my finger but the tapping on the volume bar makes it move a little each tap.Even selecting songs could be better.Sort off like the Sonos phone app,,, or just making the volume bar longer and tracking bar longer for finer adjustment across the top of the player. Bigger buttons and menus too would be great? Thanks.!
I have iPhone XR 14.6i installed it and set up 2 sonos one speakers. It does the setup and then asks to register and update. But then it is unable to do it and says unable to update at this time. Upon multiple tries, same result occurs.I click ‘will do later’ but then I keeps showing that speakers need updating. Then I try to go back to update, and then it starts crashing, saying unable to connect. if I give up and go to it again some other time, it is not even able to connect to Sonosite and just stop working. I have uninstalled and installed multiple times without any result. At the moment, these speakers are dud to me. Need some sorting out.I have tried this on iPhone max as well 14.6 and same result occurs.
I can't be the only one that thinks the Play 3 needs updating,it's clearly the best of all the Sonos lineup,The most versatile and best sounding without losing an arm or leg.. C'mon Sonos give us an Updated version.!!
Okay, so I hade a quite confusing question. I’m interested in getting a surroundsound system. I was thinking about getting a playbar. I have a pair of active speakers i would like to use as surround, is that possible with a connect? And if so, is it also possible to connect a sub to these speakers? Cause they have a sub output and I cant afford the Sonos Sub. Would appreciate some help!//Filip
Despite several old threads dealing with the lack of bookmarks, there's no coherent explanation why this is not possible or implemented. Who would be responsible for this feature - Sonos, Audible or both? And, does Audiobooks offer a bookmark feature? There's an ancient Linux program on github which claims to be able to provide sonos bookmarking, but I doubt it actually works by reading the issues reported.
I’m playing a Spotify album. In the Windows app, the app/UI constantly refreshes (loading icon appears in the queue area every 2 seconds, time values and seek bar flash). That results in some flyout parts like the volume levels to close on their own, making them close to unusable. I’ve made a short video better describing the problem: Screengrab Video TIA,-- Jakob
Hi GuysFirst Post.Tearing the remains of my hair out.I have an LG G1 Evo connected to my Sonos Arc. All sound outputs are good (ish). I have connected a Panasonic DP-UB820 Ultra Blu-Ray player to the TV via HDMI. All cables are connected properly and up to spec. No matter what I try, I can only see Stereo PCM on the Sonos App when using the player.Any suggestions welcome. Thanks for reading.
I have a stereo pair of Fives that has a line in from a Denon turntable. The Denon has a built in pre amp and this all works fine. However it seems the overall volume isn’t as loud as I feel it should me. It’s perfectly listenable but less than the CD player also attached. my question is if I were to bypass the turntables built in preamp and instead add an external preamp might my overall volume increase?
hello Everyone, Need some advice/guidance. Looking to create a whole home music system. Looking to get one Sonos 5 (for my family room area) and a Sonos 5 (for my Living room area) - both in the lower level of the house. And a few Sonos Ones for the upper level rooms of my house. Also looking to add some rich bass to the set up and therefore looking to get a Sonos sub. Will one sub do the trick and have enough bass for the entire lower level if I kept it in one room in the lower level. Or does each room require a different sub. Also, any suggestions on placement of the sub. The lower levels rooms are all connected through large open doorways. Thanks you all in advance. Sandeep

Hey,I was just wondering if there’s any future release planned containing profiles for audio settings to be shown on the main player screen on the app for easy switching?? EQ/sub/trueplay settings??I like to turn the sub off at night, flatten out the EQ and engage trueplay to make it more subtle for nighttime listening, but it’s a ball ache going into the settings and changing them all manually, wondering if there is scope for these to be saved in audio profiles to be easily selectable from the player UI. RegardsSteve.
Hi SonosLast night at around 01:06 AM, we had one of our Sonos player turning on. Saw a few other conversations on here and hope Sonos Support can help. Created diagnostics: 1272713662The Player was the Play:1 called Kitchen. I don’t use alarms, but I do have openhab and Google Home that could potentially interfere. But I checked the openhab logs and nothing happened before the music started. I used a Google Home yesterday at 7:16 PM and gave a command to start a playlist in the kitchen which didn’t work (I got the confirmation from Google Assistant “OK, playing .. in the kitchen”, but no music started which happens often). Is it possible that the command did work, a few hours too late? Thanks for any help
Hi guys need help, this drawing is beyond horrendous but it gets the point wondering if theres any real benefit to adding the One SL to my arc. Where i sit on L shape sofa can only really get speakers to sides not behind me, or to either side of tv. As speakers wouldn’t be behind have to wonder any benefits to adding them ti system
Unless I really missed it, I don't see an option to mute the soundbar when playing music. I configured the surround speakers to play 'full music'. It would be nice to be able to turn off or mute the soundbar only so that I just get the full stereo sound on the surround speakers only.
the story is if i can hook up sonos arc to hdmi1 or hdmi2 -but not hdmi3 which is earc compatibile due to me having xbssx and ps 5 , and i rather have it both used utilising hdmi 2.1 which i got available on port 3 and 4 on my tvdoes it work or it (sonos arc)have to be plugged in to earc port on back of my tv?Thanks in advance
Arc is attached to tv. Works fine. Added Gen 3 sub. Works fine. Want to add AMP to power surround speakers. It adds to system but nothing comes out of speakers. Try play says speakers not making sound.
Hello! Was looking at the financial reports Sonos published this morning and read a transcript online, saw that Sonos products pricing are going to be increased… anyone has any news on this?

I have three sources into the Arc (Apple TV, Cable box, TiVo antenna box) and output is to an OLED LG TV and am using a Logitech Elite remote with hub. Most of the time all is well. Sometimes when I switch sources, the source cycles on and off (video and sound) about once every second. If I turn everything off, it fixes it and all is well again. It happens most often when switching to the Tivo box but not always. Diagnostic= 1356345119
