Despite several old threads dealing with the lack of bookmarks, there's no coherent explanation why this is not possible or implemented.

Who would be responsible for this feature - Sonos, Audible or both?

And, does Audiobooks offer a bookmark feature?

There's an ancient Linux program on github which claims to be able to provide sonos bookmarking, but I doubt it actually works by reading the issues reported.

Audible would have to implement this, and it is technically feasible via SMAPI.
