I have a stereo pair of Fives that has a line in from a Denon turntable. The Denon has a built in pre amp and this all works fine.
However it seems the overall volume isn’t as loud as I feel it should me. It’s perfectly listenable but less than the CD player also attached.
my question is if I were to bypass the turntables built in preamp and instead add an external preamp might my overall volume increase?

For the Room where the Fives are go into settings..system..Room...then scroll down to the “Line in” that the turntable is connected to.  There you can set the Source level.  I have my deck on 9 and also set the Audio delay to  High.
