Does anyone know where I can get the mounting template for the Sonance in-ceiling speakers (I can’t wait till they arrive to get the ones in box) We are building a house and need to cut the holes next week for 6 speakers. I’ve searched the website and raised a ticket but that could take a week...
Hi all!I have a Playbar, a pair of Play 3’s and a SUB on a S2 app. I plan to buy used Play 5 gen1 and use it in a trade in program. What do I have to do? Regiser it in S2 app or install S1 just for the Play 5?Thank youNeven
Hi Sonos Community,I have a Denon AVR-x3700H with Aperion Towers, Sub, and in-ceiling speakers. I’d like to add a pair of Sonos Ones as surround rear/side speakers. Not sure if this is possible, but any advice on how to connect the Ones to work with this set up would be appreciated. Thanks, Matt

Hi, My TV does not support HDMI to Optical Dolby passthrough. If I buy a product like the one in the link below, connect it to my TV’s HDMI ARC port, use the optical cable between this and my PlayBar’s optical in, would my PlayBar + 2 Play One rears be able to receive Dolby sound:https://www.amazon.com/avedio-links-Extractor-Splitter-Converter/dp/B07H94D77V/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=hdmi+arc+to+optical&qid=1627813739&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&smid=APNU4RDT15RHI&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyR0lYTkRUWlBPRVcwJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDk5NTU4M0lZM1U0UVU5T1pVWCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMzMwODkwM08yWjg2WFJaMzBOOCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= Thank you!
I have around 14 different Sonos speakers operating across one network controlled by the S1 controller. I want to add a SONOS Roam for the bathroom however I understand that it can’t be added to the S1 network (please someone confirm this or not). I have a two part question: a) Can I set up and operate both S1 and S2 on the same network and b) can i install and operate both S1 and S2 apps on the same IPhone?
does using 3.5mm line-in results in lower sound quanlity than using Sonos app?
I have 2 Play 1’s set up for a surround sound with my Beam. They worked great for at over a year. Lately, the Play 1’s just disappear and Sonos doesn’t recognize them anymore. So my room where I have the surround sound set up says (Beam + ? + ?).The steps I have followed to correct:Remove the Surround Sound setup on the App Factory-reset the Play 1’s and rename them Completely set up the Surround Sound again.I usually have to do this 3 or 4 times before it is successful. And within days the surround sounds doesn’t recognize the Play 1’s again. I’m getting very frustrated. I really, really like the surround sound (when it works) and I’m wondering why I didn’t have this issue for over a year and now it happens all the time.FYI, I have a mesh WiFi in my house. Same one that I’ve had for several years, so it isn’t that. Would appreciate some help!!
Does anyone know if the Sonos One SL can be connected to a Smart TV?
All working fine till I got back from holiday & I cannot sync my beam. I switched everything off & rebooted the router. Still same problem. I have changed my settings on TCL & allowed the TP Link. It even recognises the beam. however on app when I go to set up I get this message…Or it asks me to use my remote to accept TV audio output, I’ve done that
Hi,Just wondering if other owners have the same issue. When I put my roam in my bag the on/off switch is not protected and it happens that it switches on and when I want to use it a few days later the batteries are empty. I believe the on/off switch should be not sticking out but be either recessed or otherwise protected from being accidentally pressed to avoid unintentional switching the speaker on. Thanks, Andreas
I am having an in ground pool built in the backyard in about 2 months. I have an area on the south side of the pool that will be a landscape bed and will have outdoor speakers installed. These will be hard wired speakers being run by the Sonos Amp. The Amp will be installed in my basement with wires run out to the speakers by the pool. On the west end of the pool I will have a gazebo with a TV installed. I’d like to use the outdoor speakers for the audio from the TV as well but not sure how I’d hook the entire system up to the Amp?! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Hi allI have a 5 - 7 year old mixed system with Playbar, Sub, Play 3, Play 5 and Connect. My Play 5’s are S1 only so I haven’t done any updates since S2 was launched for fear of them no longer working. Everything works great now so I have no need to update. We have just added an extension to the house, and so I jumped on eBay and bought an old 2nd hand Connect so it would be S1 compatible. When I just tried to add the Connect, the Sonos S1 app (tried both on Android and on PC) both require me to update before it will let me add the new device. Can I add the new (old) connect without updating? Or can I update the apps and stay in S1 world? I’m just worried that if I press the update button it will update me to S2 and then I can’t use my Play5’s anymore. I have no idea what the new features of S2 are but I’m fairly sure I don’t need them. Everything currently works great! My PC Currently running v11.2.3.My Android currently running 11.2.10Cheers - Matt
Hi, can anybody tell me the vale of resistor R15550, located under the WiFi module? This component is missing on my board ( knocked off and lost by previous “repairer”). Oddly, the player still works, but I would like to replace it.Many thanks for your help, this is my first post!Andy
I'm a Sonos newbie looking for a little advice.I'm finishing my basement, basically a big open room.I am planning on doing surround sound in the seating area w/ an Arc and two of the sonance in ceiling speakers for the rear. Ceiling is a drop ceiling. Am I correct in assuming that the speakers are too heavy for the ceiling tiles and need a bracket. Is there a recommended bracket for the speakers?
Hello everyone,I am new to Sonos and considering Sonos for my home theatre. I really like the look of the in-wall and/or in-ceiling speakers, but they seem to recommend their home theatre package with the arc, subwoofer and what appears to be two portable speakers. I am confused on what to do because I want the best possible sound quality but also would prefer to use the Arc/subwoofer with either the in-wall or in-ceiling speakers. Suggestions please! Thanks
Hi there, I’ve set up a Sonos Arc and two Ones in my living room with the Ones acting as surround speakers. One of the things I really like about it is when I can have the Ones set to play only ambient audio for music. The instrumentation sounds so distinct that way! The next room over is my master bedroom, where I have a wall-mounted Five. I keep fantasizing about adding two Ones and having them provide ambient audio, as well. Is there any way to achieve what I want, short of replacing the Five with a Beam or an Arc? Have even toyed with the idea of adding them as a second pair of surrounds to the Living Room theater setup, but of course that would require me to play music in the living room I’m not occupying in order to get the ambient audio flowing in the master bedroom. Thanks for any advice you can offer!
After looking through Sonos’ forums and other internet corners (AV forums, Reddit), I still haven’t quite confirmed whether or not it would be possible to achieve a 5.1 setup with Sonos using the Arc + 2x Ones + Sub for PC gaming on a LG CX.Some posts hint at this being a possibility, but I’d prefer to confirm that it works before I invest more into Sonos’ ecosystem.Does anyone have this setup and can confirm that for PC gaming specifically, you’re able to get sound out through all of the devices satisfactorily?Bonus question: has anyone replaced their Sonos Sub in this configuration with the Amp + third party (SVS) dedicated sub?Appreciate any confirmation/guidance that you might provide!
Curious if anyone has tried any of the following to charge their Sonos Move. There is no mention of these products working with the Sonos Move in the description or Q&A and I know the Sonos Move is fussy so I was hoping to get someone to confirm which, if any, to purchase: Charger 1Charger 2Charger 3Charger 4 Thanks in advance.
I searched the forum but cannot find an answer. Does the One (SL) have better WiFi/Sonosnet radio or antennas than the older Play1? Will it connect better/stronger to Sonosnet than a Play1 will do?
I set up my second Roam to the first one and used the PAIR feature in settings. All goes well. Music plays in stereo, etc. But when I come back later to play music the two Roams have ‘separated’ on their own and assigned themselves new names. One is named the original Roam’s name (which was the name of the room it was in) and the new Roam just takes on a generic name like ala ‘Sonos Roam’.I relink them, they play. And then in awhile they disconnect on their own.Customer support says I’ve got to go into some crazy-a55 process with my Comcast router, and settings and what not -- but I have a feeling there is a simpler solution. Yes? \Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.
Just opened my $169 Roam - and was shocked to learn it didn’t come with any kind of carrying case and/or a strap. Seems that for this kind of money and a product that is meant to “roam” a case should be included.
Is there a clear explanation of the Roam’s power modes anywhere? I have been experimenting with it and am confused by a few things when it is not being charged.Firstly there seem to be two ways of it sleeping: sometimes it sleeps about a minute after being full-on and idle, and other times it stays awake for a long time.Secondly the white light is sometimes on when it is awake, but sometimes the light is not on when it is awake. I can’t tell what the difference between these two modes is, or how it chooses. The red led does seem to be consistently on when charging, so that one I understand. There is also some weirdness with UPnP events during the sleep/re-awake cycle but that probably just needs more poking around on my part.
