Hi there,

I’ve set up a Sonos Arc and two Ones in my living room with the Ones acting as surround speakers. One of the things I really like about it is when I can have the Ones set to play only ambient audio for music. The instrumentation sounds so distinct that way!

The next room over is my master bedroom, where I have a wall-mounted Five. I keep fantasizing about adding two Ones and having them provide ambient audio, as well.

Is there any way to achieve what I want, short of replacing the Five with a Beam or an Arc?

Have even toyed with the idea of adding them as a second pair of surrounds to the Living Room theater setup, but of course that would require me to play music in the living room I’m not occupying in order to get the ambient audio flowing in the master bedroom.

Thanks for any advice you can offer!

No, there isn’t a way to add a pair of speakers as surrounds to the Five. Also, you cannot add a second pair of surrounds to a Sonos home theater setup.

You should consider adding another Five to create a stereo pair in your bedroom. A stereo pair of Fives is Sonos’ best speaker setup for listening to music.

Thanks for the quick response, GuitarSuperstar! Not surprised, but I am disappointed.

Cheers!
