Just wanted to say I will never buy another Sonos product. With all the tech updates and going through wifi, it is far too frustrating to just get the damn speaker to just work. With all the other over-wifi tech solutions out there…..happy to say I CAN NOT WAIT TO SWITCH!!!!!
We have two Sonos surround set-ups, one we use much more than the other, and I’m wondering whether to reconfigure to maximise the sound quality of the one we use most. Current set-up: Room 1: Playbar and 2 x Play:3 Room 2: Beam, 2 x One, Sub We use room 2 far more than room 1. We’ve already moved the sub, which was originally in room 1. But now I’m wondering whether also to swap the surrounds. Swapping the sound bars themselves would be more hassle so I’m disinclined to do that. I care mostly about music playback, and have the surrounds in ‘full’ mode, but improvements to TV sound would also be nice. On the face of it, “three” is better than “one”, right? So I’d assume swapping the surrounds would improve room 2. But… given there’s already a sub in room 2, does that render some of the Play:3’s advantages redundant? Similarly, the Play:3 is older tech than the One. Does that matter? Finally, I don’t want to completely ruin room 1 so if downgrading the surrounds there will make thin
Hi guys, I’m going to get a Sonos soundbar and I also have to change my old tv. The matter is that it looks like Sonos soundbars can’t work with any tv, as allo the models I’m considering (above all LG C1 and Samsung QN90A) have many compatibility issues with Sonos. So I would like to understand.. which tv will work for sure with Sonos sonundbars? Any suggestions?
Hello everyone, I just set up my Sonos Arc on a new samsung tv model and everything works fine, but the tv doesn't shows the volume level with numbers. Using the tv remote (ore the Sonos app) I can turn up and down the volume, but I can t see the level of the volume. Is there some setting that I missed? Thanks
I have 2 Roam and they both have issues connecting to bluetooth and have never been able to get them to find the wifi. These are terrible. We have done all the troubleshooting. Anyone have this issue and find a trick where you don’t have to re- set up 10 times to use them?
Hello,I have tow Pay:1 units that were connected to Sonos 1 controller app. Then I moved to Sonos 2 app. Since that day one of my Play:1 is considered “not compatible”. Error 30 keeps popping… Is there any way that unit can be updated? I don’t really want to operate 2 Sonos with 2 apps as recommended by Sonos. Tks.
I’d love a widget that shows a list of speakers with volume sliders to allow quick volume adjusting. Does such a thing exist at all for iPhone?I know there are a number of third party ones but not sure if any do what I want? Cheers for anybody info 👍
In looking at my profile there is a Playbar that should be removed. It was sold with my house some time ago. Is there a way to remove this item from my account?
Hi, I want to ask you, yesterday connected Sonos ARC to my Philips Oled, very easily achieved Dolby Atmos from TV to Soundbar. At this moment ARC is standalone (without Surround and sub). And What i noticed: Movie - very good quality - everything is fine - bass more then enough for my needs, surrounds effects quite well. (it this situation i plan to add only Sonos One as a surround speakers without sub) Youtube music from TV - the same as above - bass is very good for me and sound quality more then good. At evening sound volume - ~25% is enough. Music from S2 app with TV off - very disappointing -- no bass - flat sound, I’m not sure is it better then my Sonos One sound . I need to increase volume to 50% to fill the room (from youtube i need only 25%)I little better when playing form local media then from Spotify but still have some doubts. So Hardware is ok - plays very good but why i notice this loss of bass and quality using Spotify or playing from S2 - and why i need to inc
First of all I have an Arcana in this loop. But everything was working fine until it quit working fine. So today I unplugged Sonos Arc HDMI cable from the TV and the Sonos Arc, unplugged power cables from the wall for the TV & the Sonos Arc. Waited like 5 minutes. Plugged the HDMI back into the Sony Arc port and then the Sonos Arc. Powered up the tv and the Sonos Arc. Sound from TV to Sonos ARC worked. Unplugged the Sonos Arc HDMI from the Sony TV arc port and plugged it back into the Arcana. Went to the Sonos iPhone App, System, Arc + the surround sounds, including Sub, TV Setup, Let’s get your Sonos Arc SL connected to your TV, Connected cable to Sony Arc and sometimes it will go to the next screen but only to give me a failure something like not connected. I’m befuddled. Everything was working and now it’s not.
I am about to test if i am actually getting the right bandwith when streaming from Tidal. If not - no need to pay the extra bucks. But i can not find that information anywhere in controllers:I find the status page for the players: http://x.x.x.x:1400/statusBut no - I can not find that information here? Anyone?
We have the PlayBar, Sub (gen 2) and two architectural ceiling speakers driven by Sonos Amp. These makeup the living room. Bedroom we have two Sonos One SL’s configured for stereo. Wondering if we can move those One SL’s into the living room to potentially improve dialog when watching movies. Our default movie streaming is Apple TV+ 4K connected through LG 55SK9000. Have tried setting Apple TV+ audio format both to 5.1 and then Dolby Atmos. Most movie dialog comes through muffled or low volume. Cranking up to hear dialog then blasts us out with action scene audio.
HiThe only non-Sonos speakers I have is a Bose SoundTouch 130 sound bar & Sub in my basement. I’m wondering if the Sonos Port will allow me to add the Bose system to my Sonos app. The Bose has a co-ax port, is it as simple as buying a port, running a line from the digital out into that port on my Bose then setting it up? Or am I way off and oversimplifying this whole thing? I’d like to avoid buying an ARC and Sub for the basement simply because we don’t use it that often. Thanks. Hi, haven’t purchased yet but ogling & can’t find answer to this specific question. Will Roam link with Symfonisk Bookshelf? I don’t want the Picture Frame or Lamp Base…Thanks in advance!!
At the moment it takes 30mins for the Roam to completely switch off and I’ve measured that the battery drains about 4% while waiting for the battery saver to work. I would like the option to reduce this to 5mins or even make it immediate in the Sonos app. This should not be difficult to implement!Thank you!
I have 2 Move speakers , mainly for versatility of indoor and outdoor. When indoor, I’d like to get a bit more bass. Would getting 2 Fives to work with my 2 Moves be worthwhile to achieve this? Or would it not offer anything? Assume if all connected to WiFi they would work in synchrony?
I have a Sonos amp connected to my computer. The line-in autoplay works to detect loud audio, but the line-in playback on Sonos stops every time the game or movie is a little bit quiet. I have to go back in to the app and press play dozens of times a movie, or gaming session. The other option is to adjust my computer’s volume by leaving the game or movie, and adjusting the volume slider in Windows. This causes a notification sound, which triggers the autoplay. I’ve heard the last half of that audio hundreds of times a day. Is there any way to leave the line-in playback on? If not, please send in a feature request because this is making me hate my Sonos system every time I use it.
I have Sonos Arc with Sub and 2 Speakers configured using Sonos App as one room. For projector, I have BenQ HT3550i. It has 2 HDMI outputs. I have connected it to the Arc and I have audio on the Arc alone. However, no sound on the Sub and Surrounds. I was expecting the sound to be across Sub and Speakers through the Sonos Magic. Has anyone had this setup? How would I be able to configure?
Hi therei’ve moved into a new house which had Russound multi room previously which fed various zones from a central multi room player under the lounge TVthe ceiling speakers and speaker cables are still in place in the various rooms but the speaker connectors are unfamiliar to me with a four wire configuration (red, white, green and black)can I connect my Sonos amp(s) to these speakers to resurrect the zones, if so how should the cables be matched to the amp?thanks
Well, I'm not sure if I'm just lucky, or not. I got a Sonos arc, + a pair of one sl's. Grouped them together. Added the amp, and connected my subs to the RCA output. Working just lovely. No delays, no lip sync issues, nothing. Yes, I do need to adjust the level periodically, depending on content and hardware. I get full atmos thru my panasonic JZ 2000 OLED. I must say, the sound is simply stunning. I see why Sonos has the following that it does. Thanks!
I’m still using my SONOS speakers (playbar, sub, 5 and 1) from 2016. I’m planning on getting a turntable and want to stream the music through all of the speakers. Currently, all of the speakers are connected via Wi-Fi.Questions:(1) Will the Port make this all work?(2) If I get a turntable without a preamp, will I need the SONOS Amp?Another advantage of getting the Port is that I will be able to stream directly from Apple AirPlay 2.Thank you in advanced.
I have a Sonos Arc and looking to add rear speakers. I was wondering if I can just have one Sonos Beam as a rear speaker to pair with the Arc, instead of getting with Sonos Ones?
Hi - I’m only getting Stereo PCM when I open the Sonos app and view ‘About My System’ Current setup:Sonos Arc, Sonos Sub Gen3, Sonos/ Sonance Architectural Speakers connected to Connect:Amp Gen2 (rear surround), Apple TV 4K, Sony X900F.The TV does not have eARC but does have ARC with Dolby Digital Plus pass through enabled. So I realize I wouldn’t get TrueHD (which streaming services don’t provide anyways) but I do expect to get better than Stereo PCM.Any settings I can modify to get a compressed version of Dolby Atmos/Dolby Digital Plus? I can’t even get multichannel PCM right now. When using the native android TV apps it does show Dolby Atmos but I would prefer to not to use that horrible interface.Super disappointed right now to spend this much on a Sonos setup and only get Stereo.
I was just logged on to my server which has my music library on it and noticed 120 SMB connections from my various Sonos devices to the music share. There are tens of connections from today and each of the last few days. Is this normal? I’ve never noticed it happening before. Thanks Jon.
