Does the Sonos Five speaker play analog output when music is streamed to it over wifi? (i.e. Victrola wifi turntable, Apple/Youtube Music, etc). Is it converted to analog when it is received by the Five speaker or is it converted at the source?I guess in other words, can analog audio be played over wifi streaming devices?
I have the new Beam, play1s and a sub working with the LG TV. All generally works well, but I have found recently that if I turn off the TV, or if it goes into sleep mode, that the volume is set to zero on the beam (surround sound system) and needs to be manually turned up again using the TV remote. I am actually using an Apple TV in the setup, but the Sonos beam is connected to the HDMI ARC port. Like I said all works well, except this little niggle.. Anyone else seen this? Any ideas Sonos support team? thanks
Well i just updated to ios 17 and Sonos sent an update earlier today and still cannot perform trueplay.
HiI have 2 Sonos Play 1 speakers and I'm looking to buy a vinyl player to connect to them. I see the Pro-Ject T1 mentioned a lot in relation to Sonos ,but I'm not sure if it would connect to the Play1. Any guidance on which vinyl player would be compatible, or anything else I would need to buy to connect them to a vinyl player would be greatly appreciated.Thank you
Anyone know what the amperage draw is for the Sonos Amp? I’m trying to determine how many Sonos Amps I can have plugged in on the same electrical circuit?
Question regarding the rear speakers surround sound. Will there be any noticeable difference between using Sonos in wall architectural speakers vs in ceiling Sonance Mag6r’s?I initially planned on placing the architectural’s in wall behind the couch however, plans have changed and they need to be mounted in ceiling. I haven’t found any reason the rectangle in wall architectural’s can’t be placed in ceiling instead of swapping out for the circle ones meant for in ceiling? In searching I found the Mag6r’s are heavily discounted right now, so I’ve thought about switching to those. Any thoughts? key pointsroom has cathedral ceiling that’s about 10.5’ at peek, 8’ walls. room is 100% shiplap. room has several large windows as it overlooks a lake. rear speakers will be used with Sonos Arc and Sonos Amp.thanks
I’m wanting to get my daughter and son in law something to start their home system with. Something they can use now and will go with the whole system. What would everyone suggest?

Sonos App : Ver 15:10 on Android phone running Android 11Sonos OS : S2Hardware version : 1.8.3.7-2.0I’m in the UK : so a supported region
I just bought the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable. Can I use a wireless Sonos home theater system to listen or will I always need a line in speaker for this product?
Bonjour, quelqu'un peut il me dire s'il est possible de transférer le son sortant de mon projecteur à l'arrière de mon canapé, vers ma barre de son arc gen3 sans fil ? Merci d'avance
So I'm curious if anyone else lost Dolby Atmos ONLY in Prine Video after the 15.10 update? I have spent time wirh Prime and they claim nothing has changed on their end with the content or Apple TV 4k app, but I can play Dolby Atmos on every other service (apple TV 4k, Netflix, Paramount. Etc). Yet after the update all the content on Prime labeled Atmos is being played as multichannel 5.1. Anyone else experiencing this?
If your Sonos Arc and LG TV are not playing Dolby Digital Atmos, go to All Settings on your TV, then Sound, then Advanced Settings. On the respective input (e.g., HDMI 1) change it from the default PCM to BitstreamWhile you’re still on the screen in your Firestick setting screen for Audio and Video Diagnostics, you should see all the Dolby capabilities immediately change from No to Yes.
My Playbar randomly cuts out. Internet signal is strong, but it happens with both Google Mesh and Eero mesh. I moved it from my upstairs to my basement and it seemed to work fine. Moved it back upstairs and it worked fine for a bit and then started cutting out again. Note that all areas of my house are on the same channel, so it’s not like moving from upstairs to downstairs should’ve changed anything.Neither the google mesh or Eero can change channels. The Eero automatically chooses the least cluttered channels, so this shouldn’t be an issue.I have four Sonos speakers on my upstairs floor - 3 play:1s and 1 Playbar. The former work fine and never skip. The latter will skip even though it’s only about 8 feet from the surrounds that do not. I could try to create a Sonosnet but CS told me that wouldn’t help because I’d need at least three wired devices. The only Sonos I can reasonably wire is one on my main floor since that is where the internet comes in. The eero hubs don’t have Ethernet
Hello,I recently purchased the ultimate Sonos setup: The Arc, two Era 300’s and Gen 3 sub.I am very satisfied with my purchase! The system sounds amazing, movies in Atmos are incredibly immersive even at lower volume and music in Atmos is an audiophile’s dream! The only situation that I think that system isn't maximized is listening to regular music in stereo.the powerful Era 300’s would sound so much better paired by themselves with the sub. the problem is that there isn't a way to create a pairing preset. One for viewing movies and listening to Atmos content and the other for listening to regular stereo music.I assume the reason being it takes a minute or two to pair the speakers due to the handshake process over WiFi. I don't mind waiting a minute to switch between presets but I won't do it now because of the extra steps needed to remove and add speakers. If you have the same setup, what are your thoughts on the subject? Is it a worthy feature request?
Hi, new Sonos enthusiast here, I never owned Sonos products before so I have no experience of any of them - yet!I’m looking for a setup for my medium living room + open kitchen, I’d say about 25m².This will be for music only, no home theater, no podcast No specific type of music I listen to a lot of different genres, so I mostly need a good balance, but I don’t want weak bass either I don’t need a lot of power though as I’m in an apartment and my neighbors won’t let me forget about them lolI’ve ruled-out the Era 300 as I don’t need Dolby + not really suited to my use-case because I need my music to fill a room where I’ll be moving a lot.So it comes down to either two Era 100, or one single Five (I don’t have the budget for two).Which would you recommend, and why? Thanks!

Bonne journée Moderation edit: Translation by Google TranslateGood morningLet's imagine a 40m² room with the TV + arc at the far left.In this same room 2 Era 100 at the very back on the right, 10m away.A table in the middle. Is there any point in using surround mode (arc+2sonos) knowing that most of the time we listen to music in the room? Currently I like to push the sound more to one side than the other depending on where I am.Thank you for your advice, tips, etc.Good day
BackgroundIf you look through my comments in this forum you will see that I am a big fan of the original Sonos Move. I have a stereo pair and, when set up in the garden, are my favourite speakers. I have a garden room with Two 300s and a sub, which is the best sounding but not portable, nor outdoors. The outdoor listening experience, weather permitting, is great and different and with the two Moves, is my favourite way to listen to music.Move 2 PurchaseSo the Move 2 was announced. Double the battery life and stereo sound from a single unit. So with an upgrade voucher burning a hole in my wallet I decided to upgrade. The Move 1s will always get a decent 2nd hand price. One of the major reasons was the 24hr battery life, anything else would be a plus.Reading through all the reviews, some mentioned better sound and the stereo capabilities of course, but most focused on the extra battery life, touch controls, changes to the charging brick, Bluetooth changes and the line in capability. What
In previous versions of the sonos app you could select multiple speaker groups as outputs allowing you to quickly stream to multiple groups.I dont know when it changed but groups can no longer be multi selected. Selecting a new group removes the previous selected speakers and replaces with just the new group. For example, if you have Group A, B and C you used to be able to quickly output to groups A and B by selecting both groups. With new behaviour you can only ever select group A or B. The workaround is to create another new group D containing A+B, but this very quickly becomes unmanagable if you have more than 3-4 core groups. This functionity change has significantly reduced the usability of the groups in my opinion. Did it get removed on purpose or can i re-enable the behaviour somehow?
I have an Arc. Can I buy a mini sub with an Arc?
I Currently have a projector that connects to an Xbox X and PS5. All the electronics are behind the projector about 15 feet away from the screen. Getting a HDMI from the PS5 all the way around the walls to plug into a soundbar isn’t really an option. I’m looking at the Arc bar, two surrounds and a sub. What would the easiest way to connect all this up with running a 50 foot hdmi cable to the soundbar?
I don’t own an iPhone, so I would really appreciate if they could release Trueplay to either Android or the iPad 10th gen.Are there currently any estimates as to when it might be released? (if ever) Let me know please :)
I am on a quest to get the maximum audio quality from my system. I am interested in your opinions on where the weakest links are in my system.I am presently listening to music only by streaming from YouTube music. No other input source. I am streaming it through Sonos using a Sonos gen 1 Connect. I am using the optical out on the Connect which feeds into a miniDSP signal processor. It splits the optical input into 10 analog output signals which feed into my 10 amplifiers which are required to drive my Linkwitz LX521.4 speaker pair. The system sounds fantastic but I wonder if I can squeeze out a little more fidelity. Interested in your thoughts. Thanks, Ed.
