Changing from S1 connect to S2 connect

I have an older system with an S1 connect interfaced as a source with an existing audio system.  What if any are the advantages of switching to an S2 connect and an S2 OS.  Is this the correct choice or is there another piece of connect hardware I should look at?  As near as I can tell Sonos no longer sells the S2 connect hardware as all I can find are used units.

S1 isn’t receiving any new features, just bug fixes. S2 receives everything, so yes, I consider it a worthwhile upgrade, where possible.

The CONNECT has been supplanted by the Sonos Port, which is why you don’t see that older product on the Sonos website.

Does your Connect show as S1 only?

It might be able to run S2 or you could talk to Sonos about an upgrade rebate to something that is S2 compatible.
