Speakers

Hi Community,I have had my One SL speakers for about 6 months, an upgrade from the original One speakers. Last week at about 10:00pm one of the speakers started to emit a very loud high pitched alarm sound. The only way to stop it was to unplug the affected speaker. I rebooted the router (the system is on WiFi) and plugged the speaker back in and after some trouble got the speaker setup again.The system worked with no trouble until Sunday afternoon. It happened again. I have not reconnected it yet.I have checked the channel it's using and that is different from other devices. Most of the devices in the house are hard wired with Ethernet.Any idea what may be causing it? An electrician has said it could be interference from the major construction at the new Metro train service centre being constructed.Any other things to try?

Hello.  … Help Out of the blue , a weird problem just started happening… We have 4 speakers that all worked fine…. Today for some reason only 1 will play at a time… and it randomly changes to the other speakers.   My data network is fine all show excellent  signal. I have done the usual router reboot… etc

I have a Sonos Sub - Gen 1, and 2 Play 5 - Gen 2’s. The Sub will happily connect to both but only produces any sound with one of them - the one not in the room where I need it. Any ideas why a Sub will connect to a Play 5 but not produce any sound? I could reset and move / rename the speakers but I know this will have a problem with my smart home set up so the ideal solution for me would be to get the Sub producing sound on the speaker I need it to. Thanks - and hope someone can help

I have a 7 year old Boost and Playbar. Everything works great with our TV, and when playing music (pandora) via our Iphones (10XR) and our Ipads. Using the Sonos2 app.  Will this system work with a new Move speaker bought in June of 2023?

I have an Arc Bar, two Sonos Ones for surround and a sub working together (or used to) in my living room.Yesterday (1/23/2023) there was an update to the system/app for Apple and now the system no longer stays connected or even works together.All speakers are intermittent in connecting to the app as well as themselves. I can not form the surround room anymore. The sub just wont connect at all.I have factory reset the entire system at least 4 times at this point. There has been no change to my wifi system for over a year and nothing else is having issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I have two Sonos Ones and want to add an Era 100. Is the Era 100 compatible with the older Ones?I want to put the voice activated Sonos in a central location Thanks!

Hi guys, just bought the Sonos One (gen2) recently. I just wanna know if there’s a way to use it as my laptop main speaker. Please I really need one for my Lap. Many thanks. 

I have purchased 2x era 300 speakers but could not totally use them as had no stands, now that the stands have arrived I cannot use them as the footprint of the stand bases are too large so cannot use this type of speaker what can I do with 2 speakers as cannot be used in my room?

Hey all…So I have a wild problem. the second I activate the turnable a green light flashes once on the era 100 that does not have the direct line-in, and the speaker disconnects from the system. There is a pre-amp (one listed as recommended by Sonos), and a sub (unaffected). I tried twice to resolve over the phone, and even ordered a new era 100, yet the problem persists. listening to streaming music doesn’t cause this issue. tried ungrouping the pair, resets, and the usual fixes.  Wifi connection is “excellent”speakers are four feet apartrouter is brand new and close, not much in between it and speakersthere are no devices that should cause interference  anyone have any ideas or experienced this as well ?

I have older play 1, 3, and 5 using s1 app.  Replacing play 5 with a new 5.  Can I put the new speaker on S2 and run separate systems?  Older speakers won’t work with s2.

HiBefore I buy, if I connect to the line in on one of a link pair of Era 100s will sound be outputted on  both speakers?also could I also stream the same audio for that line in to other speakers on the same network? many thanks 

I have OMADA network (tp-link) , I have 3 productsthose one who connect with 2.4G always keep disconnect from SONOS app. I always have to reconnect via router app. to let them show again in SONOS app.They never disconnect from network. ANYONE plese help me to solve this?

Hi there! I have 3 units of the sonos play 5 gen 1 that will not connect to my s1 sonos app. I’ve followed the troubleshooting steps and nothing. Does anyone know the best next move here?

initially i bought 7.1.2 Sonos system and now i am upgrading to 7.1.4 (era 300) , should i sale Sonos one rear speakers or there is a probability that in future will be able to use them with 7.1.4.?

Has anyone done this upgrade and feel that it was worth it? Normally keep the living room at 50 to 70% of volume. How do the era 100 handle low volume compared to the play one? I'm not worried about television which I don't watch. Living room is the only room sometimes I think the sound is a little bit thin.  

Ughh my love hate for Sonos is never ending. I recently purchased a Roam as an addition to my Play:1, One, Play:3, Play:5, and Move. Issues with Roam:Cannot connect to my Play:1. The other systems can connect. I tried via the Move/Play:5. No issues. Roam - “Unable to connect to device” Even if I select “Play everywhere” with Roam as the starting speaker, it still says “Unable to connect to device” and won’t connect to anything.  If I select from Roam to my One, no issues.  If I select from Move/Play:5 “Play everywhere”, music plays from the Roam device but it does not show up in app.  This morning I took the Roam off of the wireless charging dock. The app initially said battery at 15% (it seems to always say this for the first 30 seconds) before eventually saying battery life is 100%.  The app also showed music playing on the volume bars, even though nothing was actually playing. Yesterday, my “Family Room” speakers and TV disappeared from my Sonos app.  Before shutting down Sonos, I was not able to select the TV and turn-off the speakers.  Now on the TV, I don’t have sound as the TV can’t find the speakers.  Can anyone help me with this problem?  Thank you.

I recently moved a One SL into the same living area as I have a Move. When playing through both speakers the One drops in and out regularly.  is this related to them playing together and not being compatible as a pair? Or are there other issues I should be trouble shooting  have never had a problem with one prior to this. 

Hi guys, I recently bought an Era 300 for the living room and a 100 for the kitchen. Both are attached to each other via a mesh network (netgear). When I’m streaming they group fine, though I do get the range extender message which I can just ignore. My issue is that when my turntable is connected to the 300 via line-in I get great sound, but for some reason I cannot get the 100 to stream the sound into the kitchen no matter what I try. Im not sure why streaming works but the line-in doesn’t. If anyone knows the answer I’d be really grateful 🙏

I’m registering for the first time to my Sonos on the app and it won’t let me, I can hear music with airplay and everything else but I can’t register my speaker to the app so I get to use the voice control, etc. 

We have a Sonos One that will not connect to the Sonos 2 app on iPhone 13.  I have reset the app, factory reset the Sonos One, plugged in an active ethernet connection,  Still, during setup in the app, the app simply will not find the device.  And, yes, the Sonos One is on the network.  Any suggestions on what to do?  Sonos Support, by the way, was not at all helpful.
