Just moved into new property and it has Sonos s1 s2 system. I have managed to download apps set up , but can’t connect as previous owners have a old sign in and password word pc still on it and I can’t access it . How do I set this up for my own use
When I try to play from Apple Music and use AirPlay to my Sonos/IKEA Symfonisk speaker, the sound stops after one second. This happens on both my MacBook Pro and iPhone X. When using the Sonos app on my iPhone, it works fine. However, it means that I can’t play from my MacBook and have to manage music in 2 different apps.I tried updating all apps and rebooting all systems multiple times. The wifi connection is strong. Sometimes (1 out of 20?) times I'm able to stream from Apple Music directly, but that’ll only work for a little while.Does anyone experience the same? How can I fix this? Is there an app for Mac that would allow me to play Apple Music to my speaker?
Did I can use Sonos Sub gen 3 on his own or I need another speaker ?
Hi, my 2 sonos ones are not visible in the sonos 2 app. They have always worked and been paired for stereo. The app says no sonos on network. If I log into my tp link router I can see speakers are connected. Also I can still use Google assistant and play songs on Spotify. I can see the speaker on the spotify app. So annoying.
Good afternoon. After upgrading Sonos One SL, a problem arose, and now audio only appears two seconds after the audio stream has started. Now it's absolutely impossible to watch movies using Sonos One SL. The sound lags behind the image by 2 seconds. If I pause the video, the sound continues for approximately 2 seconds.I searched the forum and found recommendations to switch to uncompressed. This did not solve the problem in any way. In addition, I saw a recommendation to use the Line-in menu. But there is no such option on Sonos One SL. The audio system is connected using an Ethernet cable.During movie playback, I ran a ping test and see that the network connection is stable and fast.--- 10.111.222.190 ping statistics ---318 packets transmitted, 318 received, 0% packet loss, time 321242msrtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.183/0.226/0.331/0.023 msHow do I disable(dramatically decrease) buffering on Sonos One SL?
I moved a sonos one from the kitchen to a kids bedroom and changed the name as such. But it keeps reverting to kitchen. Any idea how to fix this?
Hi, I use a sonos five at work. we have just moved office. the previous wifi net work was a normal password only network.my new network at my new office has username and password enabled. I reset the sonos when we moved and it only asks for password during set up.what can i do to get this set up?
I can only access one of my 3 Sonos system/room at a time with my eeros 6 wifi. If i want to listen to a different sonos room, i must first power off the one I’m listening to so that the app can find the one I want. I have tried turning off bridge mode on the WiFi, but no luck. Does anybody have a solution? Many thanks.
We have a Sonos Playbar that my husband was given a few years ago when his place of work went out of business. It’s worked fine for years (on wifi) but Spotify no longer recognizes it,, and when we try to sign on to the app it shows a abbreviated version of someone else’s email, and won’t accept ours. Nothing has changed on our end, and all apps are up to date. Thanks for any advice!
Hello Sonos Community, I am considering between purchasing the Sonos Five and the Sonos architecture Outdoor speakers. Though I originally was looking for outdoor audio, I went to a shop and heard the Sonos Five audio and was wow’d. Does the Sonos Outdoor speaker, paired with the Sonos amp, deliver similar or better sound when compared to the Five?
Hi i would like to know if i can use the speaker Sonos Roam in my steam room? Will it work and will it last or not? Thank you
I got a new Orbi Pro mesh Netgear router but I’m unable to connect my Sonos to it wirelessly. The Orbi is set as an access point because of my firewalla firewall. I have one 5 and three 1s. The five is connected to my Orbi directly with CAT 5 cable. I cannot, cannot get the 1s to connect wirelessly. Please advise. Thank you! Stu
Hi.I have a past in car-audio just to give anyone a little info when i make claims or ask (silly)question it’s from there i justify why i ask them.I purcase two Sub Gen3,with two weeks between. First one i notice allmost right out of the box it got like an more electrical smell to it. And when i started play some low’s i could really smell it. From the very first time the sub start play, the smell was there. But it cleared up a bit during the first days,so by the time i got my secound sub the only time i could smell the first Gen3 was play loud music over perhaps a few 3-4min tracks. The other Gen3 did not smell as much as the first one,and it cleared up like after two evenings watch some movies. Then i got some Ikea Symfonisk Book Shelf speakers…..and guess what…..they smell EXACLY the same as the Gen3’s…. But they need to be “pushed” a little before they start making a smell. I got four of the Ikea BS(Book Shelf) and all of them smells.I would belive that this perhaps is the thin seale
No more broadband internet but still want to use the speakers 1st Gen. is there cable or why can’t my mobile internet pic it up? thanks JP
I have spent thousands euros in sonos components both for home and office. Both environments play under high speed network.I’m used to listen to deezer favourites tracks (2300 songs) in a group of two/three rooms. There is always a problem: if electric power is down for a while any reasons, Sonos forgets everythings, the room groups, the playing playlist, all. You need to group again the rooms, select the playlist and so on.If this was not enough, most of the time, no, all the time, sonos skips tracks with som error (incorrect encoding or network not responding). When I try to ask support the solution is always, always, please try disconnecting the router, keep disconnect then restart. Not even windows at his best had so useless solutions.
My sonos speaker suddenly emitted the most terrible sound I can ever think of. It was SOO loud and in the middle of my very wonderful evening, I could not barely get it to stop. literally causes me some PTSD. I'm not a wimp either.I realized my sono speaker was hacked. This happened on February 5th 2023 about 1:00 a.m. Why would someone do this and is this being addressed by sonos or whomever tech company's security hole this belongs to. Anyone have answers? This was not a small issue, it was terrible.
How to add two sub gen 3 with ERA 300 stereo pair; without sound bar. Thank you very much ! Cheers !
I have One SL and One. They are connected together wirelessly but i can't use Bluetooth. I am planning to buy sonos roam and connect the 3 speakers together. I then want to connect Bluetooth to Sonos roam as it supports bluetooth and expect all three to play. Is this possible ?
The volume on my ARC keeps randomly dropping to a very low level. When I raise it, it drops again. Seems to happen more frequently on 5.1 sources. My Arc is connected to my 4K ATV viewing on LG OLED TV. Thanks for any help.-Jeff
Hello all, I think I have this figured out, but I’m no expert and cant find my exact setup or attempted setup. I have a record player without an integrated amp. I also have a vintage Sony receiver that I inherited from my grandfather, its a TA-1130. I just purchased the era 300 with the line in adapter. I believe I can get this all working together.I hook the record player to the receiver with RCA cables, then receiver to era 300 with an RCA to 3.5mm cable. My question is what input on back of receiver do I connect the rca to 3.5. Im assuming the preamp input? any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
We had to change the password on our router after a hack. We cannot reconnect our Sonos products to the wireless network using the new router softward
This seems like a very straightforward thing to do so I’m really hoping I’m missing something. I have really nice PC speakers. I want to add them to Sonos so that they are a device. Similar to using the Sonos Port with a tuner. I’ve got the Sonos app on my PC but I do not see anywhere to simply play or add the PC’s speakers to Sonos. Please tell me this is possible and how to do it :) Thanks!
Hi, I have read through all related posts and can’t seem to figure out how to get it working. I have just purchased a Deco Mesh PX50 which is a powerline mesh network. I can’t figure out how to get the arc connected to the network and I need this as it is how I stream my music. I also need the mesh as the wifi in the house was not adequate previously. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi all!I recently moved an Era100 to another room to use it as a computer speaker and I am running into a strange scenario: If a connect through bluetooth from my mac there’s no delay If I connect through Bluetooth from my PC, there is a noticeable delay. The interesting thing is that I also have a Muso QB. If I connect through bluetooth to it from the same PC, I don’t experience any delay. I am not a 100% sure why there’s only delay on the Era 100 and not both of the speakersAnyone had a similar scenario and was able to sort it out?
After rebooting my music voice command "Stop music or pause music" will not function.
