Please don’t tell me I purchased Sonos Ones (set up as a stereo pair) to play music (purchased from iTunes) on my phone only to find out they won’t! Don’t know why this is so difficult. Connects fine with Sonos Move but I can’t figure out why songs won’t play on Sonos Ones.
Had a brief power outage and now 1 of my play ones which were set in stereo mode will not connect, unpaired them tried factory reset, play 1 is now just sat with constant white/orange flashing light ?? I have unplugged everything and reset router, can not get past orange/white light ?
Is it possible to connect 1 Move2 with 1 Era100 (the new Internal-External Kit), to do a stereo pair?
So it’s an odd scenario. I’ve got my Sonos One SL in the kitchen on volume 30. It sounds a little low to me, but as soon as I connected it to my Living Room (LR) Play 1 speaker (even if that LR speaker volume is at 0), the volume in the kitchen is significantly louder, even though it remains at 30 level on the controller? It’s almost as if the volume was incorrect to begin with until I then connected it to another.Any ideas why?
The issue: I have been an extensive SONOS user for many many years (UK based) and used to get my BBC Radio service via the TuneIN service. It always worked fine. Recently the “old” TuneIN service became unsupported and the new service no longer has the BBC national radio stations (even with subscription). So I tried to use the SONOS radio app and whilst I can find BBC Radio 2, for example, it will not play. I now understand that due to licensing issues, the only way to get BBC national radio stations in the UK is via the BBC Sounds service. So I installed that and indeed can access the radio stations. BUT, the audio level on all of these stations is at such a low level compared to all other sources that it is almost inaudible. If I switch from my Apple Music service to the BBC radio station I have to increase the volume from 25% to 100% on the speakers and even then it can only just be heard, totally unacceptable and unusable in reality. When I use the BBC sounds app on iPadOS or on Sky
More of my Play 5 speakers have lost their wireless capability. After about two years the first Play 5 speaker lost its wireless capability and we had to purchase a power line extender to make it work. Now after another two years the other two Play 5 speakers in a different room have now lost their wireless capability and I will have to purchase two more powerline extenders and a hub so I don’t run out of Ethernet ports. Whilst Sonos sounds great the quality of the wireless components inside these very expensive speakers is obviously of a poor quality and not something we expect when paying top dollar for good speakers. So to all out there considering buying Sonos just take tis into consideration. Other than that the sound is unbeatable when operating properly.
i purchased the sonos arc SL i am looking for suggestions on where to place the sonos gen 3 subwoofer.. my room is about 21x20. Would it do better behind the sofa or near the ARC itself? Or is it best to move it around? These may seem like dumb questions but i have never owned a subwoofer before or a quality speaker for that matter. So i thought i would ask people who might know.
I have a Sonos 1 and I am pretty happy with it. I just bought a used 3 and I can't get it to connect my system. I get to the point where it wants me to push my mute button to make the final connection and it never connects. I'll hold my finger on the mute button it will quick flash 3 or 4 times in a row then go back to regular flashing green and white at the same time. I even turned off my firewall thinking that might help.
I have a complete Sonos system throughout the whole house. Recently some speakers are no longer having music output just makes a tiny screeching type noise when its on and I have to switch off the Amplifier to make the noise go away.Is there a technician or shop that can troubleshoot and fix as necessary?
Are the Era 100 and the Sonos Move speakers capable of handling Dolby Atmos content?
After a power outage, my speakers werent able to connet to Wifi. Eventually, one did. Now that it has been a few days, I was able to connect my phone to the other speaker. But I cannot play them both at the same time. One is in the kitchen and one in the den.
The Sonos compatibility page says that these two of my Sonus devices – Play:1 and Sub (Gen 2) – are compatible with the new Sonos app. And that two devices – Connect and Connect:amp – are not compatible. So I purchased a Port to replace the Connect to have my Sonos system with the new Sonos app. But the new Sonos app says that the two devices listed as compatible by the Sonos compatibility page are actually not compatible. System upgrade says that no upgrades are available. So which is it, compatible or not? iOS ver 16.6.1Sonos app ver 15.7.1Sonos S1 app ver 11.10.1
I have a new vinyl platine, but don’t own speakers excepts for a couple of Sonos 1….How can I stream the sound of that platine to the Sonos speakers ? Do I need the Sonos AMP to do that? something else ? Thanks :)
I can´t connect my Sonos PLAY 5 (early edition) in the app. Shows white light. It is wired to the Router. All other Products and system are working, System is updated. Have tried troubleshooting processes; Find missing Product, Add Product, Re-start Product, Re-start Router.Ideas are more than welcome :0)
I have a play 5 which I occasionally would like to use in the garden with a line in from my phone. This means unplugging it so that it forgets that it is connected to the line in. As there is no WiFi in the garden it is then impossible to instruct it to accept line in again.Does anyone know a workaround for this?
New system not connecting. Being told to factory reset.
I am planning to add Era 100 to my existing Sonos speakers. My reason is to use line in and connect my turntable to the Era 100. My question is as follows: if I connect the turntable to the Era will the sound then also play over the other speakers in my room (they are grouped together )? I have two Play 1’s and the first generation playbar in this room but also other play 1’s in other rooms. Thanks
Hi, how to connect 2 era 300s with 2 sub gen 3s ? I’m able to only add one.
Hello! Our apartment complex has a sound system that we want to turn off completely. We keep setting the volume to zero or setting the music to off in the app but every morning at 0800 the system turns itself back on. Is there a way to turn it off completely?I’m not sure about the model aside from there’s two little Sonos boxes in a service rack with an app we control it with.
HiI have two Play 5 gen 1 speakers and a projector with HDMI ARC.I connect the projector to the input of an adaptor. Then from the output on the adaptor I have mini jack going to my PLAY 5 Gen 1...but I do not get any sound.I am wondering if it is possible at all to connect my PLAY 5 GEN1 to a unit that has HDMI ARC... even though I convert from hdmi to mini jackKind regards Martin
Sonos Play52 2G device is broken Can I get this product
Let’s say you have set up two rooms, or somehow duplicated your main room and now speakers are in the wrong place. In my case, I had two living room setups. There is no way to delete a speaker, or room setup that I could find. After spending all kinds of time trying to find an answer, I figured this out. I just went to ADD a speaker to the correct living room, at which point it will ask to remove it from the other setup. To make it easier, rename the other system to bathroom or something so you are not confused with the two living room setups you might have.BINGO BINGO
Anyone have experience where devices are kicked off the wifi network when interacting with Sonos speakers. Either the Sonos app or airplay to a Sonos speaker.
Hi, I have 9 products that all appear to be eligible for the upgrade program. Will these continue working if I use them to upgrade, I.e use them to get discounted new speakers? I’m using the latest Sonos app as far as I’m aware. ThanksMatt
During setup, my phone recognizes the era and things go well until I get to the step where the Era 100 tries to connect to the wifi. It fails to do so and times out. I’m very tried to factory reset the speaker three times and have unplugged/replugged the router and it still won’t connect. I have speaker directly next to the router and my phone. Also, it asks to connect to the flashing “blue” button on top which never flashes. Any help is appreciated.
