MacBook Pro with version 11.2.3 (20D91) throws the following error, when I try to update my music library on the Sonos desktop app:Unable to add the shared folder “//<my computer name>/Music” to your  Music Library (1001).When I search for solutions online, I find tons of people with the same problem, and no one posting a solution, other than to contact Sonos Support, which, obviously, is not a solution.When Sonos decided to stop allowing customers to play music from their phones, it was a big disappointment, and, to me, a violation of the promise they made as a HARDWARE company.Now they also refuse to allow me to play music from my laptop? Is this by design?  Or do Sonos engineers simply not test their software on Macs?

I’ve read through a similar thread that has since been closed and I don’t feel that it was thoroughly handled.We are diplomats that move every few years and it has been a bit of a challenge setting up our Sonos each time. We have purchased Sonos products in Canada, Europe, Uk and Japan and are now moving to Zimbabwe.Canada and Japan use the same power cable, Europe has their own and Zimbabwe and the UK use the same power cable. The trouble is, when you move to a country that doesn’t have Sonos support, you are left without functioning speakers. In theory, if you can get to a local Sonos dealer, you can order the appropriate power cable for your speaker and just swap it out (don’t need to worry about the voltage requirements). We did this for some of our N. American and European speakers.Now that I’m moving to Zim, I need the G type power cable used in the UK. I’ve contacted Sonos to see if I can order them and have them sent to my Japanese address before we leave as I think that will b

Hi, I have a Sonos connect, connected to a Technics amplifier receiver vis red/white cable, a turntable connected to the receiver as well, then a playbar, a sub and two ones. I’ve used for many years this configuration perfectly so I turn on the receiver and the turntable, then on the Sonos app s2 I select Audio Component Line-in choosing the speakers and then it used to work perfectly. Recently this has changed, the Audio Component Line-in keeps dropping from the app constantly and recovers it self. The wifi network is 2.4hz. I recently changed the channel to 11 (I used to have channel 6) but is still the same, I’ve also done a factory reset on all the speakers. Pretty frustrating about this, such a bad experience in a well known and expensive audio system. Can someone help with this, any suggestion.

Explain to me like I’m an idiot why Google Assistant isn’t available in certain countries. Why can’t it just be “switched on”. I live in Japan. I get why maybe Japanese language support isn’t ready but for those of us that are happy to communicate in English, why can’t we have the option?

Maybe a week or so back I changed the email on my Sonos account, coming to the Community forums here today I was prompted to create a Community username. My forum account was disassociated. I changed my email back and voila I’m back into my existing forum account. Maybe I’ll try changing it again, see if it updates across both this time. Not sure how to proceed...

Hello,I've a problem with my Sonos beam. Every morning when I turn on my Tv the audio stop and skip on the Sonos Beam. When I want to check the Smartphone app the Sonos beam is unreachable. The only solution is to unplug the power and the Sonos work again perfectly for the day. I've already try the factory reset with no success. Please find my diagnostic ID : 1944524877 Thanks.

Hi all,Bear with me on this one, I am not overly technical, but have an above average understanding of tech (i.e. I often help other family members with setting stuff up) this topic however, is slightly too advanced for me and I need some advice as to whether the below is even possible!… Thanks in advance. I hope you like a challenge :). I recently got so fed up with the SkyQ lip sync issue, that I decided to bypass my TV and link the SkyQ box to the Sonos Beam directly via optical out. There is one benefit to this but many issues with this!Pros:I now have Dolby Digital on Sky with NO LIP SYNC!!! (great for Sky movies, Prime, Netflix etc. directly via my SkyQ box)Cons:Two remotes for sound needed (TV sound is now seperate to Sky) I need to turn the Sky box off (or mute it) to prevent sound playing when the TV is turned off Tv sound needs to be at ‘0’ to prevent echo PS5 and Amazon firestick - Only TV ‘tinny’ sound available as it is not linked to the Sonos Beam.I appreciate this is a b

Hi, I have a Sony Bluetooth turntable and wondering if  connected  by BT to a Sonos Roam, I can then share the turntable music with paired Sonos speakers in the same and other grouped rooms with Sonos speakers .Appreciate any advice.Ian   

I recently bought an IKEA speaker for a rental house. I am trying to set it up using a new SONOS account I created for the rental with a different email address to my home account (which is the one I am using now). The App keeps telling me that the verification email has been sent but I have not received it. I have tried multiple times and double (and triple!) checked the email address to make sure it is correct. I have also checked both my SPAM and Junk email folders. I have also tried to set it up with a (second)  separate email address but without success (ie, same problem). The account I am using to send this question is my home account, which has a different email address and is quite separate to the rental. Please help me. It is very frustrating.

Just bought a new home, they’ve previously had 4 in ceiling Sonos speakers installed. 2 in the living room and 2 in the kitchen which they’ve left. The overall setup from the previous owners was an amp, play bar, sub and ceiling speakers. I am now looking at my own setup, incorporating the ceiling speakers and looking for an understanding.  if I was to replicate the previous system, buying a playbar, sub and amp. Could I wire all of these to one amp? (playbar, sub and four ceiling speakers). Or would I need two amps to power all rooms? To have audio in different rooms I.e. tv audio in the living room, but then different audio in the kitchen I presume another amp would be needed? If I want music to play throughout the ceiling speakers and sub could the tv then play separate?  thanks in advance      

I have several Play: 1 speakers, sub, playbar, boost and a Sonos One SL speaker. I’m running wifi on Mesh system (as my house is pretty big).A month ago or so the system was running just fine and I was able to group One SL speaker with older Play:1 speakers. Now I’m unable to use One SL speaker because in the S2 app it requires to be updated. So when I try to update it the process just stops at some point and shows an error message 1 (of which I couldn’t find any info in support section). I’ve tried rebooting the whole system and router. When I unplug the One SL speaker the rest of the system is running fine. Why can’t One SL speaker finish update?Here’s couple of pics of the app and thebupdate error. Apologies for the Finnish language.  

So I have a Beam connected to my PC and the sub connected via app. I want to add another Beam in the same room connected to my TV and have it also use the sub. Is this possible? Will audio come out of both Beams or just the connected device?

I have a Amp connected to ethernet and and Sonos One connected in another room and was able to get them both showing up in app for a period. I had some issues and reset the amp twice but have an issue now where I can see the amp only on my laptop and the One on my other devices. I can’t seem to get them both to appear together and can’t see them on the same device ever. I have one wifi network and they’re all connected to the same network, the sonos both work as expected with the light indicators (solid white).  Any ideas whats going on? I should be able to see the system even if someone else is playing music on them, correct? So it’s not an issue of having someone playing music I would assume.  Thank you! 

I have a new Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable (with pre amp) with the RCA connecters into the line in on the Sonos Amp. In the house I also have two pairs of Five speakers and three Play:1’s.There are no wired speakers coming off of the Amp. The goal was to play records and have the music picked up on any of the speakers in the Sonos network.The Amp settings areSource Level 10 (high)Autoplay OffMy issue is that all I hear is heavy static when I set the audio to Line In and then at the highest Source Level and max volume I can hear a little bit of the audio.Any help is appreciated. My Sonos Move won’t power on.  I’ve had it for about 18 months.  When I place it on the charger, the orange “I’m charging” light on the front of the speaker comes on for a few seconds, and then goes off.  No other lights come on, and it does not respond to any button.  I called Sonos support and they said that the would send me a new unit - I just had to fill out the email form they would send me.  However, the email form says that because it’s out of warrantee, they’re going to charge me about 80% of the cost of a new one,  So now, before I throw it in the garbage or salvage it for parts, I’m wondering if the battery is dead and needs to be replaced.  How can I tell if the battery needs to be replaced?

Hi, I have recently swapped an old 5.1 system out with the Sonos Arc.  The 5.1 system had all components connected into the A/V receiver with one HDMI from the receiver to the TV (Sony Bravia KD49XE8005) and had absolutely no lip sync problems. I’ve now set up the Arc (via ARC) and, I thought, everything was still fine.  I had no lip sync issues on apple TV, PS4 and some Sky content.  Sonos Arc is connected via ARC (HDMI 3 in my TV’s case) with the Apple TV, PS4 and Sky Q box connected via other HDMI inputs.   However, I have identified a very specific issue with Sky Q.  When watching stereo content (i.e. non HD) I have no lip sync issues.  When watching UHD Atmos content (output via DD+), there are no lip sync issues.  However, when Sky Q outputs DD5.1 the audio and video go out of sync in the way that can’t be fixed (i.e. video is ahead of the audio). I have tried a power cycle and the issue still persists.  Additionally, when I set the Sky Q HDMI output to normal and it outputs

Hey folks, looking for some advice.  After a bit of messing around I finally managed to get my app (through Android not IOS) to recognize that I was receiving an Atmos signal from my 4k player and the Netflix app. However my current issue is that when I test it the speech from the ARC is very muffled, that’s testing it on Ready Player One 4K disc and both Lost in Space and Bright via Netflix.  The confusing thing is that the speech eventually fixes itself but it takes a fairly long time to adjust.  I’ve tried adjusting various settings but nothing seems to be working.  Everything was bought just before or just after Christmas and this is the first chance I’ve had to put everything together.  HDMI cables are all fine but wondering if I should try the one that was supplied with the ARC or not. Someone criticized the placement of my ARC as it is only about 3 or 4 inches of the ground below the TV, this was necessary as the damn TV is so big it takes up the majority of the surface. Any adv

Not sure where else to ask this. If I am playing a radio station via TuneIn radio and then add another room or swap rooms, it cuts the feed and throws a commercial on. I understand when I am completely starting out in the morning that would happen but this is new to us. Kind of annoying to have it cut off what is playing and throw an add in there when all I am doing is adding/removing a room to the stream. Thanks.

Thinking of getting a Roam for a boat.  Does anyone use a portable wifi speaker on a boat.The wifi connection would be via a MiFi dongle as wifi in the Marinas is pretty rubbish. Any experience ?
