I’m in a rented house for a month and am trying to play my apple music on the sonos system that is here.  I can play their music fine.  When i try to add a music service it asks me to enter the account information (id/pw)for the owner’s account.  I try to login with my sonos id/pw and it comes back and says the email/pw do not match Sonos’s records.  I can log on the sonos website with that id/pw fine.  Is there anything else I can try?   thx George

While watching a Viaplay serie today the Sonos Arc started to translate the spoken stream to russian with a small delay. Anyone else experienced this issue recently.

Hi all , the hdmi cable that comes with the beam gen 2 , is it an ethernet hdmi cable ?? The eArc hdmi input says it needs a hdmi cable with ethernet , thanks 

Does the Arc have to sit on the edge of the console if not mounted in order for the downward firing speakers to bounce off the floor and not the console? Or can it sit further back on the console?   

Hello,Love Sonos. The Move was my gateway drug. Recently I’ve noticed the sound suddenly changes - it’s hard to describe but it suddenly sounds muffled and strange, loses a lot of treble and bass, the mid range frequencies seem amplified, almost as if one of those cheesy equalisers like “listening to music in a barrel underwater” has been turned on. I’ve isolated it to something to do with auto trueplay, I think. With auto trueplay off, the sound remains the same, somewhat flat, but stable. Turn auto trueplay on, move the Move, sounds fine for a minute or two then suddenly changes. It’s as if auto trueplay is kicking in, and then getting it awfully wrong. Didn’t happen before, was always amazed by how well the trueplay seemed to work (hence why I’m not satisfied with listening to it off). Problem persists despite reset, different places, indoors outdoors, background noise or not, different music sources. Listening on wifi. Hi.I have a Sonos system in my house use by all the family members (using both by App and by PC).I now would like to implement a second Sonos system in my working office, but I do not want that my family members can access the Sonos Office location.Is it possible? In other words, can I create a two separate system that only myself can manage both, whilst my family can continue to access only the house system?many thanks.

Good afternoon,I want to make sure i set up the sonos properly. Help would be appreciated.I want to set up 6 in ceiling speakers to be used for music (2 of which will be in the living room in the rear)My questions are as follows:Will I need more than one amp? Can i use optimal cable to connect these to amp or is RCA preferable? If so, which brand is best; I want to use the 2 in the living room for surround in the future- is it possible to do this? I want to be able to use it for surround when i want and for music with paired with the other speakers when i want to. How can i do this?Thank you so much!

Hello,I’ve read the related posts but can’t seem to find an answer to my problem.I have my music library on my desktop computer along with the Sonos controller app. My Sonos system consists of a playbar and sub. I also have a Sonos boost because the Sonos system is connected wirelessly and all updates have been installed. It has all worked well since I added the boost about 2 years ago but now it’s started skipping a few seconds (maybe 10-15 secs) every couple of songs. I’ve monitored my wifi signal on my phone and laptop and haven’t noticed any problems. Any help would be much appreciated as this is a very annoying and somewhat embarrassing problem when I have friends over.Thanks,Dave

I have a very basic, traditional surround setup in my basement. My Tv is wall mounted with a single HDMI out from the A/V receiver to the TV hidden in the walls so no wires exposed.  My gear is all sitting in a cabinet beneath the TV. My back speakers no longer work and I’m unclear if it’s a wiring problem or because my old Denon amplifier is failing. Replacing wires is a non-starter, and if I have to replace the amp I’m thinking maybe I just go wireless. I have lots of Sonos speakers all around my house and they’re great, so I understand how Sonos works but I’m confused about what I would need to buy or if it will even work.Currently, I have 4 components (Cable, Apple TV, Western Digital Media Player, Wii) connected to my home theatre receiver and a universal remote that controls the receiver input to switch the audio and video on the TV.  The amplifier is a Pioneer VSX-1019AH.  TV is an LG NANO86UNA (55 inch) that supports Dolby ATMOS and eArc.  Simple….Question is: how do I replace

Is it normal that a Play 5 gen1 speaker reach end of life in 5 years 2 months?

Using Alexa on Sonos Move for over a year. Alexa responds to all commands but has stopped playing music. Amazon do not seem able to resolve. Have sent diagnostic report no. 1562731469 through Sonos app. Hoping you can help as not very technically minded!?

Hi guys,my sub can’t be connected at all. There’s no light no sound . I tried all ways on YouTube to ways to recover it but still nothing happens. And after reading some of the reviews I think I just make it to the top . 2years 4months and it’s just stops. Can any kind bros advice from here. 

Added pair of One SL’s to my Beam Gen2, no issues with wireless setup, added as stereo pair, etc... Beam Gen2 with One SL’s sounded great, performed great for about a week then suddenly disappeared.  Noticed no surround sound while watching UltraHD BluRay, SL’s no longer visible on app or appeared in system.  Went through EVERY support article, every troubleshooting tip available,  After hours of zero progress decided to factory reset One SL’s and start over.  App detected SL’s went through setup again. Setup fails at ‘connecting to wireless network’ stage. No changes were made to network, router rebooted, app and device restarted, all other devices including Beam working with no issue. Even went as far as resetting router (Verizon FIOS G3100 tri-band) back to factory and recreating my entire wireless network, new SSID, pw, etc… used ‘manage networks’ on app to update products, Beam located and updated to new network with no issues.  Tried to then re-add One SL’s, app, triggers audio p

After moving some furnitures in the living-room, I wanted to reconnect 2 play:1 with my sonos arc. And then everything went wrong !one of my play:1 is recognised as a play one SL. My play one in the bedroom , wich I did not moved, appears as an Arc… My arc appears as a one, etc etc. when I close the app, a diiferent configuration appears but never the Good one. Help please ! I have already restarted my router twice. 

I have a Sonos Beam (Gen 1) and 2 surrounds (Ones) for use in the kitchen. The purpose is to create even sound around the rather large kitchen. When the beam is used by itself, the volume must be turned up quite high for the person by the stove (with vent fan going) to hear audio accurately.  I added surrounds, hoping that I could send a mono signal out of all of the speakers spaced around the kitchen to even out the sound, so the level of each speaker can be lower. It seems that for TV sound, the only option is to stay in “surround sound” mode. Only sound effects or muffled speech to add audio depth comes out of the surround speakers which is not needed for listening to news programs while cooking or cleaning up. I can confirm that when listening to music the effect is fantastic with sound distributed evenly among the Beam and Ones. Can I use my Roam in a steam shower? I’m a wheelchair user and am having a roll-in shower built equipped with a steam-bath. I would of course place the speaker opposite of the steam nozzle. I’ve used cheaper Bluetooth speakers designed for the shower in the past and they worked OK. One speaker’s  suction cup released, it fell and stopped working. The other speaker was just not worth listening to. My original idea was to use the Roam in the shower to make a phone call in case of an emergency as I would with the Google Mini. That option is not available. I haven't really used the Roam in my present shower. It is equipped with a steam-bath but, s too small to steam in for a long period of time.  Regular exposure to steam might be asking too much. thanks

About 2 years ago I bought a LG model CXAUA TV and a Sonos Beam.  It worked fine for less than two months then the TV wouldn’t produce sound on the Beam.  You just got a circle with a line through it when you tried to adjust the volume.  I placed a warranty call on the TV and they replaced the motherboard and it all worked for a couple of years.  Then it happened again the other week.  Placed an extended warranty call and they replaced the motherboard yesterday at about 4:00.  It worked fine but then this morning, turn the TV on and no sound from the Beam.  Before I get another motherboard replacement I wanted to see if anyone else has any other ideas.  I’ve reset the TV to factory defaults.  Done the unplug everything and plug it back in movement.   Other steps I’ve taken:Replaced the HDMI cable. Verified SIMPLink is On. eARC was already on.  Turned it off and back on.Nothing.  Unplugged the Beam power cord for 10 seconds and plugged it back in to reboot it and still nothing.  Is the

I’ve read online that older Sonos devices (without Airplay2) will not appear appear in Homekit.  However, once you add a single Airplay2 compatible Sonos device, it will act as a bridge, enabling all Sonos devices to appear in Homekit.I have a house full of older Sonos devices that don’t support Airplay2 (but all are S2 compatible).  And then I have two devices that DO support Airplay2 - a Sonos Move, and an Ikea Symfonisk.  The Move and the Symfonisk appear in Homekit, but none of the legacy devices are there, which contradicts what I’m reading online.Hoping someone here can tell me if what I’ve read is incorrect, or if something is wrong with my setup.Thanks 

Is there a way to quickly level all the rooms/zones in a group without having to adjust the volume of each one individually? For example, I start playing music and select “Everywhere” and the volumes of each speaker/zone will be at a different level after their last individual uses. Then when I adjust the group volume they adjust proportionally from their individual starting points. I’d like a way to quickly normalize them so they are all at “volume level 15” rather than 11, 22, 19 & 28. If there isn’t a way, there should me (in my opinion)

I have the very first generation of sonos and when I connect my iphone (either via Spotify or directly via the Sonos app) and listen til music - it sounds like an AM radio, breaking up og sound disappearing..

I’m fully-committed to Sonos and very happy with the products for the most part. One thing that’s driving me nuts is how little sound comes out of the ceiling speakers when playing music.  I have Sonos brand ceiling speakers, AMP, Arc, Sub in my living room and when I play music, I can’t hear anything coming from the ceiling speakers. If I unpaid them, the sound is great.  They’re in Full Mode and cranked up to 15 in settings.  any suggestions?

Hello, my wifi setup of two Play 1 and one Play5 gen:1 has been working fine until recently. My Play 5 is not detected anymore. I've read a lot about similar issues and unseccessfully tried to troubleshoot (restart, ethernet connections). Note that I'm stil using the S1 app because I am limited by my devices (none of them support S2). Therefore I cannot add a new Sonos element from scratch.If anyone faced similar issue or has any thoughts, I'd be grateful. Thanks!

I got Samsung QE65QN85A paired with new ARC. I have to set the volume at around 60% for a normal listening.Is it normal for the arc? my previous samsung soundbar was much louder. submitted diagnostics 2090418864

I have read that Stereo PCM is a uncompressed stereo channel and therefore I am curious as to how the Arc soundbar sometimes diverts sound to the surround speakers.It also happens when playing Dolby Digital 2.0I thought that only when playing Multichannel or Dolby Digital 5.1 channels was this possible?Perhaps someone could explain 🤔 Cheers 🍻
