I can’t seem to figure out how to play Spotify on all my home Alexa devices (Echo Dot, and Echo Show) as well as my Sonos Beam and 2 Sonos One’s.  Can anyone help?

Hi allI have a LG CX connected to a Sonos ARC via eARC and HDMI 2.1 cable. I use the internal PLEX webos app to play back a variety of ripped media.Plex server is running latest verion on Windows 11. Ryzen 5950x, 32GB Ram and RTX3070 gfx card. Enough to handle just about anything.Sonos ARC doesn't supports DTS after update (convertes to PCM I believe)The LG CX doesn't support DTS at all but pretty sure was updated to support 8 channel PCM. It will support TRUE HD + ATMOS via HDMI from an external source (bluray player etc). Internal sources (apps) will not passthrough True HD.The TV HDMI sound output is set to passthrough (webos settings).Plex webos app on LG CX set to accept all sound formats except DCA/DTS.When playing media back via the Plex app TRUE HD is converted to Dolby Digital+ by the Plex server (confirmed by looking at Sonos app and plex dashboard).DTS (unsupported by TV) is converted is to AAC by the Plex server (confirmed by plex dashboard). Hi Community - will I lose any sound quality, create lag, or run into compatability issues in this setup? + Projector (back of room ViewSonic px701hd)+ AppleTV/AmazonFireStick/Roku Stick - directly connected to projector with HDMI+ Sonos Connect Gen 1 - running optical to HDMI output adapter out of Connect and HDMI cable into projector (no eARC avail)+ Sonos Beam - at front of room wirelessly bonded via Connect+ 2 Sonos Play:1 - back/side surround speakers wirelessly bonded via Connect I assume running a direct line across the room out from projector 3.5mm and converting to optical for Connect wouldn't gain anything? Or even degrade? I'm a bit confused what actually introduces lag that people talk about in this forum, since I don't use network/cable TV, hopefully I'm not introducing that? Am I right to assume compatibility of Sonos mobile app won't be an issue as long as I get a Beam Gen 1? Ok, I’ve seen some old articles saying you’ll likely not have Sonos in your car… well if figures that since March 2022, Sonos does make systems for the car, starting with Audi… Well, I’ve got a new Audi now and had no choice but to have Sonos with it… now, I have no other Sonos product… only the Sonos system installed in my car. Does the App connect if you don’t have it registered with any other product? is this something that Sonos is thinking of bringing to the car (if it’s not available yet)? Do you generally need the App as a way to fine tune the quality of listening? Because I haven’t been able to balance the system to sound good enough (using the controls from the car)...

Why does sonos have such limitations to uses with the device? Other than the quality of sound and the assortment of apps, there is truly no reason to by a product that doesn’t allow connectivity without internet and can’t even connect to a pair of headphones. I’m glad to have persuaded fellow friend to avoid purchasing this product -- as I so deceivably did.Goodbye sonos, a cautionary tale for any fools willing to buy such a foolish product

I have a Beam and two Ones setup up with my TV, but I would like to be able to continue to play music with the TV on mute.  Anytime the TV is turned on though the music playing in the entire house system is automatically dropped from the TV rooms (Beam and two Ones).  Does anyone know if there is a work around from keeping the current music playing despite the TV being turned on.

Hello, there are times which I want to use my Sonos speakers for music only and allow my child to use the television to watch cartoons with the samsung tv speakers (Samsung qled 2021 model).The trouble is that even if I select in the TV “TV SPEAKERS” instead of “E-ARC”, it will play sound through tv speakers 2-3 seconds only and then the tv will connect again to the Sonos Arc.Is it a way to avoid this?In the settings inside Sonos app I have found an “auto connect tv audio” parameters, which it only don’t stop the music reproduction from Sonos speakers if playing but the tv will stay muted with Sonos output anyway. Is it a know bug?

I’ve got new home theatre system set up - consisting of an Arc, 2x One SLs and a Sub (gen 3) - and wondering whether to go wired network (i.e Ethernet cable the Arc only) or fully wireless?My router (Netgear Orbi) is very close all the above devices and has a very strong connection/WiFi throughput - download speeds at approximately 100mbps. All devices are all within a 9 square metre room, with no line-of-sight blockages.I understand that all three devices can only connect to the router via 2.4GHz, but if the Arc was to be Ethernet-connected, it on-communicates to the rear speakers/sub via its own 5GHz network.So I’m weighing up two positives:All three devices are connected wirelessly to the router’s very strong WiFi network, albeit at 2.4Ghz (please correct me if any of this is not correct); Arc is cabled up via Ethernet (to a router that has strong download speeds/thoroughput) and then transmit that to the rest via its own 5GHz network (which would be subject to less interference?)An

I have got an arc+two symphonisk’s+sub. Is there a way to make only sound two symphonisk’s+sub without having to remove ARC from the configuration? Sometimes I have got my children in front of the tv and I want to keep disabled arc only, but reproducing music through two symphonisk’s+sub without affecting the configuration. Anyone else with this issue?

Hello and thank you for allowing me to join the group!!   I am looking to purchase a Portable Blue tooth speaker. I have narrowed my choices between the Sonos Roam and the JBL Charge 5. I am torn between the two. I really like the versatility of the Roam but am not impressed with the reviews about the battery life, sound quality, inability to connect , soundstage, and distortion and higher volumes. The Charge 5 seems like a better choice regarding these aspects but it lacks all the possible features of the Roam. I really like the AirPlay feature of the Roam but if it is troublesome, I would be very frustrated with the Roam.    I was hoping for some guidance and input from anyone who would offer some advice in which may be the better choice.  Thank you so much for any help!!

I've just bought and set up a new sonos Arc, every time I try to turn the volume up it resets to 15%.I've been through all the settings, loudness is on night mode is off, I've checked volume limit, that's set to 100%, this happens on all sources, tv, music streaming, blu Ray player, I'm not sure what to do, is this a return item 😢  I hope not.Any help greatly appreciated I've submitted a diagnostic number 149572032

Since I bought the device the app is not working properly, despite dozens of updates.When I play music from my device it stops playing after one or two songs, I have to turn the screen on to get it back playing. I excluded the Sonos app from suspension and other energy saving settings, to no avail.Also the songs after a while don't update on the song screen, the buttons work, but the displayed song is still the same even after several songs have played.The router has been updated, rebooted, is 20 cm from the Sonos, the problem is on all my Android devices, A11 and A12, everything updated.In the whole the sound is great, but the app is a pain in the x, it never worked properly and probably never will. I'm so disappointed, I almost always use the phones speakers or the Galaxy buds to listen to music.But if someone has more suggestions I'd be glad to try.

In my Sonos app i have a connect:Amp, a Play:1, a Move, a Sub and an Amp registered. However when I log onto sonos web it says no products registered. From a daily usability aspect I do not think this matters. But I am unable to benefit from Sonos upgrade discounts because it get the message that I have no Sonos products eligible for upgrade discount.How do I register my Sonos products on sonos web?Thanks

Hi, have noticed since moving the Sub Gen3 closer to my seating position, that between audio there is a low pulsing/ticking noise. It’s very consistent and from all devices running into my TV (PS5, Xbox, PC). It does not happen when streaming from the Sonos App.I have tried literally every setting in the Sound section on the TV, to no avail, even switching to regular ARC instead of EARC.My setup is Arc + Sub Gen3 + 2x Sonos Five’s. The ticking sound only comes from the sub.Wondering if anyone else has noticed or experienced this?

I have a Playbar with sub and two One SL set up for my home theater. Every few days the right speaker goes missing in the app. I can typically readd it by going through the missing device flow in the app and unplugging it. It’s really a hassle. The Playbar is hardwired with ethernet. I’ve already tried switching between SonosNet and WiFi setup but it makes no difference. Also switched left and right speaker and it’s still getting dropped, so I doubt it’s the speaker hardware.  Diagnostics submitted 590785251

KQED radio keeps dropping out. No other stream is doing this. At first, I rebooted my speakers. Rebooted my computer. Restarted my phone. Deleted the app. and reinstalled them. If I switch from KQED to any other stream, the dropping out stops. I’m concluding that it’s not on my end. Is there anyone else experiencing this KQED streaming issue?

Hi, I have a Sonos Beam and two Play:1s connected to a Samsung TV in our living room. I also have a Sonos Connect connected to a turntable in the living room, and when I want to listen to that I’ll group it with the Sonos Beam so the music plays through that and the Play:1s.The problem is that when I then ungroup the Beam from the Connect to use the Beam with the TV again, my Samsung TV no longer recognises it. I usually end up have to unplug all of the HDMI inputs to the TV and plugging them back in again, starting with the Beam. This is a bit of a pain as the TV is on a wall bracket and it’s not easy to get at the HDMI sockets at the back of the TV.Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening, and if there’s a way to reconnect the TV and the Beam without unplugging everything? Turning them off and on again doesn't seem to work.Thanks!

Sonos Move stereo pair go offline and only reconnect after daily hard reset

Hi there,I recently bought a Beam Gen 2. Setup went fine and came to run Trueplay. Halfway through the “Trueplay where you sit” part it comes up with an error message saying “Lost speaker” and that one of my speakers can’t be heard. The crazy thing is that there’s no sub or surrounds connected, nor have I tried to connect any. So if it’s lost a speaker, I can only imagine it’s referring to one of the drivers in the Beam itself?For sanity, I reset it a few times and tried again. Made sure it was running the latest firmware etc. Hardwired it to my router (not that it should matter). None made a difference.The few things I noticed as rather suspect:The bit where it listens to the background noise just jumps to the next step when you hit Continue. It doesn’t listen for 5-10 seconds like it does with my other Sonos kit When I tried a 5.1 test file, the left channel was weirdly muffled. I suspect this is the real issue. I ran a diagnostic, the number being 1552656763. Help appreciated! :-)

Hi, I have a system with various home speakers, a Move, and a Roam. Even though there is a speaker wired in and every speaker possible is on WM:0 i still get the below message.I’m sure to problem is probably with the extender, but any advice how I can stop this message every time i do most things on Sonos would be very welcome.  

Hi, My Sonos Move is connected to my windows 10 laptop using bluetooth. Everything works fine, I can play movies with VLC and hear sounds, listen to music etc. UNTIL I launch my browser (chrome but same problem with edge).For example if i launch a video on youtube, while the video is playing I have all the sounds of my computer with the sonos move, but if I pause the video, I won’t hear any other sounds coming from my computer. That means that if I’m watching something with VLC and i pause a youtube video, i have to close my browser, disconnect and reconnect the sonos move via bluetooth to the laptop to be able to hear the sounds from VLC again.I think it can be due to some controls done in youtube or netflix websites, but i’m not sure how to fix it. Any ideas ? Thanks
