am having an “echo” sound coming from my Sonos One speakers that are in surround sound mode with my sound bar. I have them grouped and they have been this way for a long time, Can someone help me, please?!?!

There are several Sonos products supporting digital cable input (via Tos or HDMI). The following article lists Sonos speakers capable for playback of 48/24. Playbase is not listed :( https://blog.sonos.com/en-us/hi-res-audio-guideAnyway, sorry for my question: I want to feed digital stereo 48/24 to Sonos, e.g. via HQPlayer, and group those with 48/24 capable Sonos speakers. Will this work out? Or is the digital input not capable of 48/24 AND sharing it to the other speakers? I assume the Tos Input from Playbase is not capable of doing so? Did someone try it already? Hello. I have a Sony A80J tv paired with a playbar plus two in ceiling rear speakers powered by a Sonos amp connect. I cannot get 5.1 audio from the native HBO Max app despite the content showing that 5.1 audio is available. I receive 5.1 without a problem with other native apps (Netflix, Apple TV+). I contacted Sony and they said there are no known compatibility issues and that I should be getting 5.1, particularly if I’m getting it on the other apps. We went through a series of troubleshooting efforts to no avail — even tried a factory reset.  Has anyone else experienced a similar issue, if so, any known remedies? My only remaining option is to swap the optical audio cable though I suspect this won’t work since I haven’t had a problem getting 5.1 from the other apps, though it’s about the only thing I haven’t tried. Any other suggestions? (Aside from getting an Arc) 

Hi all, I’ve been super into the sonos ecosystem and I’ve been getting my dad into the space. He just bought the sonos arc and I have a few questions about integrating it into his older 5.1 Sony system.  old systemsony Av receiver2 mounted (passive) rear surrounds connected to receiverMounted left right and center (passive) speakers that the arc should be able to replacean active Sony subwooferhowever looking through this forum it seems like our optimal setup of keeping the existing rear surrounds and subwoofer is not very feasible. Do we need to buy an amp to make this setup work? Is there something else that people recommend because I’m sure others have been in this situation. We are really interested in Dolby atmos and haven’t really experienced it before. Would we lose out on atmos keeping aspects of the old surround system? Would the subwoofer be able to connect to the arc or do we need to buy a sonos one? Should we just try to replace the rear surrounds with play 1s? Thanks for a

I am wanting to setup my surround sound with two Amps, one for front and one for rear. I also have a third party sub that I was hoping to use with the Amps. My questions are:Is this possible? Right now I have it setup, but the sub is not working. If so, does the sub have to be connected to the Amp driving the front channel speakers? Right now, my sub is wired where the rear amp is, not where the front is located.

I currently have the Sonos Arc hooked up to my TV and I would like to add two additional Sonos One SL to have surround sound system. I do also have Sonos Amp present in the house for outdoor speakers, but that’s not related to the TV room set up I am trying to accomplish. When clicking on the Arc within the Sonos app and pressing surround sound, the only option that comes up is to pair it to the Amp.  How do I just connect the two Sonos One SL which I current have paired to gather to the Arc to play the TV? I have also created a group but that only works for music and still more manual that I thought it should be. I play music, it first plays on the two that are paired and then I press the group I created and all three speakers play together.  

All was working fine for a month with my older Panasonic TV, with an HDMI ARC connection. Then it stopped working. I have plugged and unplugged the HDMI cable, the power, etc, and done all the connection exercises in the Sonos app. It’s not easy to see when the app/software was updated, so I could believe this was a Sonos update, but I don’t know.Target has a pretty good return policy, so I’ll try once or twice more, but then just return it.

I just took advantage of the 30% Upgrade for my old Gen 1 Sonos:Connect and purchased the Sonos Port.  It says I have a backorder till March which is fine. Can I continue to use my current Connect until I get the Port, or do I need to send it in before I get the new one?

Hi all, I have two Sonos One SL and two IKEA Symphony bookshelf speakers running in my current, limited setup. Recently, I began experiencing problems with sound falling off some speakers for a few seconds, then coming back - and then falling off again randomly. As I expected that this was due to distance / walls etc. giving the network a hard time, I went out and purchased a Boost. This is now connected with a cable to my main access point (that is again cabled to my main router in the attic). I tried the tools available for troubleshooting - e.g. the network matrix at something like this address: http://192.168.0.207:1400/support/review From my Boost, connections to all speakers is green -  which I presume means that the Sonos network-coverage and communication is fine. However, many times during the day, speakers will still be falling off. I have a crappy turntable with a preamp connected to a Sonos Port that works fine in streaming vinyl to my Sonos system.It’s functional but sounds terrible and I’d like to upgrade to a good turntable.The one I am looking at does not have a preamp so that means I need a Sonos Amp correct?I guess my question is do I need the Amp AND the Port?Or does the Sonos Amp have the same functionality as the Port, i.e. can stream to my Sonos system, but with a preamp built in?Thanks!

Hello, I have my 5.1 setup as follows, ARC via HDMI to EARC output on TV using passthrough in TV settings & 1 Gen 2 sub and 2 Play’s one’s in my system.   Am I getting full Atmos using the Play 1’s since they are so old or should I get the newer One’s or One SL’s? 

After working for around 6 months my Move has stopped responding. I get 10 seconds of amber light when I put it on the charging station then nothing else - no other lights work and none of the controls work. I can connect to the Move via Bluetooth but the sound is not good. I’ve tried a reset but that doesn’t seem to work either. My Amp is working fine on my network

Sorry if this has been asked/answered already… but can anyone confirm what version of Bluetooth the Sonos Move devices currently use? I noticed Sonos have updated their “Power + Connectivity” section for the Move, which now states Bluetooth 5.0 https://www.sonos.com/en-gb/shop/move#2 But I’m still seeing messages on this forum, and ‘reviews’ from third party sites as recent as January 2022, stating it still uses Bluetooth 4.2 - has there been a low-key specs update ?

Recently bought and setup a Sonos Beam with 2 Sonos Ones as surround and overall the whole system sounds pretty good.When listening it is obvious that the Ones (the surrounds) are only playing the surround channel audio.Since apparently the Ones have equal if not better low frequency responce than the Beam, I wonder if there is an option in software (or plans to include one) to share the lowest (non-directional) frequencies to the Ones as well, for improved bass (please don’t suggest to buy a Sub, it’s an overkill for my system).

Still getting sound dropouts that last a few seconds on most platforms now!!BBC iplayer, Netflix, Disney etc and even standard TV!!I have a Beam 2 with 2 One SL’s for surround and a new Panasonic OLED, tried all the mentioned  plug/unplug, restart PCM etc.Always had Sonos kit but this is really starting to get annoying as no fix seems to be mentioned yet??Please help!

When I have my laptop connected to my Sonos system and I try to switch the sound to my AirPod pros, my lap top tells me that the AirPods are connected but the sound continues to come out of my Sonos one’s instead. How do I fix this? I’ve killed the Sonos app on my laptop but it doesn’t change anything. 

I just installed a Beam (Gen 2) and I can not get my Xfinity XR15 remote to connect to it.  In fact; I can not get ANY remote (total of 9) in my house to work with the Beam.I’ve tried moving the Beam to different locations and making sure there is no light hitting the IR sensor.  I’ve tried re-pairing to my TV and while I can get sound thru the Beam I can not get my remote to control it.  I’ve tried standing right in front about 3 ft away with every remote in my house and going through the setup process but none of them are working.  Obviously, I’ve made sure the batteries were all good on the remotes too.I can control the sound with the app on my phone but that is pretty inconvenient. I replaced a PlayBar that was working with my TV and remote with the Beam but at this point I’m about to pack up the Beam and send it back unless someone has a suggestion.

Hi all , my new TV that I've bought has an eArc hdmi socket , would I benefit connecting my beam gen 2 to the eArc or just the normal arc ? I only have Sky+ hd , many thanks 

Do I have to use the Sonos Sonance speakers or can I use 2 pair of SONANCE - VP64R I am a Sonance dealer

Surround sound speakers, both play 1s, one of which does not stay connected. Same distance from beam. Left side goes in and out of connection. What gives? Wear and tear of product? Tried everything, talked to customer service, diagnostic reports. Nothing worth noting. Sonos app displays “?” for LS. Any suggestions/ guidance? Ty

Sirius has been dropping the stream sporadically all day. Error is unable to play song not encoded properly.  Sometimes it comes right back others I have to start it. It’s always stable most of the time.  

Hello,Sonos Connect stopped playing music last week. It will not play any music via Sonos Radio, Apple Music, or Line-in without skipping. I also have a Sonos Arc that does not have this issue. Has anyone else experienced software obsolescence on their Connect and had to replace it with the Port?

Just bought a Beam Gen 1.  Connected it though the Arc HDMI port as the tv recognizes it.  The tV speaker doesn't emit sound anymore as it's using the Beam. No sound through the Beam.  The Beam plays music though through the Sonos and Spotify apps.   When I do the true play test it works and chimes.  What am I doing wrong?

Hi Sonos Feature Teams,with your ongoing focus on content (such as Sonos Radio HD, Curated Playlists) it would be really cool if you could partner with Roon (more than just being compatible with Roon as endpoints) in order display their rich content (album reviews, band information, lyrics, AppleTV app TV:Remote, recommendations, enhanced search, additional album art, etc.) for us music lovers. As the Sonos speakers are already in the home network, there would be no need for a local Roon Core but only a cloud-service integrating into the Sonos App (and support for more end-devices like AppleTV, FireTVStick, SmartTVs,...) would be needed. An odd problem I cannot solve. Kitchen and office speakers both have morning alarms set for 06:45 to play radio with no time limit. They randomly ungroup so this best way, but when I come down they are not synchronized so I group them manually, have my breakfast in the kitchen then go into my office next door to work. However, at exactly 11:00 every morning the speakers ungroup and turn off the radio. Neither of the alarms, as I say, have a time limit. What is so special about 11:00am? Phil
