Yes, I'm afraid it's the old chestnut again.I've just upgraded from 1st gen. I had no problems as I was taking the audio out from sky Q into a toslink switcher via the optical adapter .I upgraded mainly for Atmos, so don't want to involve optical any more, so I'm taking HDMI from the Samsung Tv's eArc output to the Beam .As usual TV apps are no problem, but now I seem to have introduced the audio lag for Sky Q, which no end of adjustment will alleviate. Is it still a case of putting up with "normal" sound setting from Sky these days? I'm starting to think I shouldn't have bothered with the upgrade..

Hi,I’m starting to getting really desperate here.I have a house full of sonos speakers, mainly Play:1 and One’s. For example you have the living room with a stereo pair of Play:1’s, on my desk there are 2 One’s in stereopair, and in the kitchen there is a Play:3. Every Sonosproduct I have is wireless connected, and connected to a professional Wifi-system. That last part is my actual job. I install professional wifinetworks. But to be honest, I never experienced that much issues with sonos, at any client, with the same wifi-hardware. Everything is Ubiquiti Unifi. I can garantee that every speakers has its own access point withing max 3-4 metres, and the connection is perfect. The problem I have is that some speakers suddenly start, and stop playing. I haven’t been able to have them all play the same playlist. Sometimes it works to combine living room and kitchen. When I group more then 2 groups it never works. Very frustrating. So after half a year of trial and error, I can honestly say

Hei,I have 2x Sonos 5 (gen 3) + 1x Sonos beam(gen 1) and one AT- LP120xbt  usb as turnplate.I can Connect the turnplate with one Sonos 5 and after choose Line in on all 3 sonos to play together.But if i choose to Connect them  on Stereo mode i dont have anymore the option of the Line in.that’s make me crazy to switch the stereo mode on/off and configurate the trueplay everytime, depends of what I want use them.Can someone help me please

Hello all,I have rebuilt my home network a while ago and created an IoT VLAN in which my SONOS devices (4 One, 1 Beam) are located. All SONOS devices are connected via a Unifi AP to a pfSense router.I now have everything set up to the point where I can use the app from other VLANs. Unfortunately, I have the problem that my Beam is not found via AirPlay. Even when I am on the same network as the SONOS devices, it does not show up for me.The rules in pfSense are currently completely open for the SONOS products. So missing ports can't be it.Yesterday I reset all devices and set them up again. This also brought no success. Now it is so that the 2 rear speakers, which were connected to the Beam (have them now currently not grouped with the Beam again) were initially not visible in AirPlay, but since tonight already.In the SONOS app, all devices are displayed to me and I can also operate all functions from the app.A packet capturing showed me that all devices except the Beam regularly make t

First time poster here. Having a problem with Imported Playlists. There is a new playlist called 'Library' that I have not created and it is not present in the Playlists sidebar in the Music app. Mac OS Monterey v12.2.1. This seems to be new and may be eating up imported playlist numbers on the Sonos side. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

Some Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray Players have two HDMI outputs. Use one HDMI output to send video to the TV. Use the second output to send audio to a reciever/amp Does the Sonos Amp work by plugging the HDMI audio directly into the Amp?The reason I want to do this is to use the blu-ray player as a music transport (CD, DVD-AUDIO, SACD, Blu-Ray Audio) with the TV off?I do not want to use via the TV Arc port. (Please note I am aware that there is a Toslink to HDMI adapter for this, but the sound quality is reduced.)

I would like to connect to my Play 1 as my main computer speaker however I don’t see it in my Sound Preferences. I have 2 Play 1s, a Connect and a Beam. I have all devices connected on my iPhone and can see them in the Sonos app and through Airplay. However I can’t see the Play 1 in my Preferences, only the Connect and Beam. However, I can connect to the Play 1 in certain apps, like Spotify, through Airplay (on the desktop/MBP, the phone is fine). It shows up on the Spotify app, but not in my System Preferences as a sound source. Is something wrong with my set-up or is it not designed to connect this way? I’m running Monterey 12.1

Hi. I’ve got about 10 Sonos dotted around the house and I’m running a SonosNet Channel. (My sounder is wired up on ethernet.)I’ve got a pair in one of the bedrooms, but the same speaker keeps dropping out every night. I unplug/replug and it works fine. But then almost like clockwork it drops again. The speaker is high up on the wall and there are no other electronics nearby. I’ve tried every channel but I get the same result regardless. My diagnostic report is 1434150944.Thanks in advance for any support. 

I’m wondering if anyone can tell me if Local music downloaded on Spotify will work to Airplay from my phone without an internet connection (WIFI network but no internet) to the Sonos.Thanks in advance

FolksLooking for some assistance. I’ve connected my Sonos Arc to the ARC HDMI setting on my TV.  As I understand it, my TV is able to send Dolby Digital+ (which should allow Atmos for the programmes that are streamed in Atmos) but no matter what I seem to try, I only ever achieve 5.1 per the Sonos App. This is even the case when I am absolutely certain that I’ve set the Sky Q to Dolby Digital+ and am playing a suitable programme. It’s also the case on Amazon Video (I’ve played Jack Ryan, for example). Can anyone help or advise of anything I am doing wrong? It’s driving me crazy!

I’m looking to get a new TV in a few months. If the TV has an eArc port, can I assume that it will pass the multichannel LPCM that Apple outputs, or do some TVs with a HW eARC port have issues with passthrough from the Apple TV?

Hi all , just got a new TV and I have a beam gen 2 and 2 One SL surround speakers with sky+ hd , my TV has an eArc setting in the sound menu , if I select this everything is fine but Sonos app shows different formats that it's playing , shown in the pics , which format is better to use Dolby digital plus or Dolby multi channel pcm 2.0 was itv 5.1 sky movies ? A few months ago, I was able to purchase a (new to me) Play 1 for rather cheap off of Craigslist. I paired it with an existing Play 1 in my kitchen and thought all was well. After a few weeks of use, I've noticed that trying to play music across my entire house (Spotify and Plex audio only) is now rather slow to initially connect and I have sporadic dropouts of individual speakers. Even if I reduce the playback to a few rooms, I still notice individual speaker drops but to a slightly lesser degree I have multiple Sonos devices in 4 rooms in the house and a Sonos Boost as well. The Boost is on a LAN connection while all other device are on Wi-Fi. In all other rooms I have newer Sonos devices (Beam, Sub, Sonos Ones, etc.). Is it possible that the Play 1s are now too underpowered to be part of "whole house" playback and may be impeding overall performance?A few supporting notes / topics:I am on a mesh network but given that this configuration has been working without issues for many month

I live in an area where internet options are minimal.  I just started my new Starlink internet connection, which at the moment does not have a wired option.I was able to get my Playbar over to the new Wifi…. And then setup my other speakers from scratch using the power on with buttons pushed.  Got everything up, connected and working.  Then had to adjust my new Wifi router which meant powering it down.  I still had my prior Wifi running.  When I brought up the new Wifi again…. None of my Sonos products now show up when I’m using either Wifi network.im about to start over again…. But if anyone has a suggestion I’d love to hear it.

I have just tried to save to a new playlist and got a message that I have hit my limit.I am still on s1. Does S2 provide more space?

Any help greatly appreciated. I have a 2021new OLED LG 55 Tv and the remote will not pair with the Beam.I have had to use the optical connection as the ARC is just not recognised for some bizarre reason.I have tried many times but the remote will not pair with the beam . The only way i can adjust the sound is via the APP.Any help appreciated. Thanks  

I’m using an Arc with a projector, and an HDFury to get audio. 95% of the time it works but occasionally, when I turn on the projector, TV audio isn’t detected.Is there any way, either on the Arc or the HDFury, to force audio back to TV? The only thing I’ve found that works is flicking off the power to the plug strip that powers *all* of my AV kit, as I can’t get to the individual plugs. In doing so, games consoles in rest mode get powered off, which they don’t like. It would be nice to be able to do this manually.

Our Sonos system lowers its volume level contantly - not great in a 3 floor venue.We also have gaps in our music as an error comes up contantly saying the song cannot be played as the connection to Spotify has been lost. I have submitted a diagnostic - 1224513342 

Hello,My dad has a Beam, and he was having trouble hearing the voices on it. So we recently got him two One SL’s, one of which we figured could go next to his chair.We quickly realized setting up the One SL’s as surround sound wasn’t the answer, as voices still come out of the Beam mostly.I can group the Beam and the One SL’s to play in sync, but it has to be manually tirggered at each One SL every time, by long pressing the Play button on each, when you turn the TV on.I’d like each One SL and the Beam to always be in sync when he turns his tv on, so he can hear it better. Is it possible to set them up in a group so it plays that way by default? Thanks!

February 2022. Intermittent issue playing Spotify playlists. Sonos skips first 15-20 seconds of each song on Spotify playlist - just 15 seconds of silence. If you hit rewind/restart button, song plays from start. 

I have tried running through the setup several times.  It will find the unit and goes through the setup, after entering the wifi password it comes back with the message that the unit may need to be reboot to show up in system.  After that it never sees the unit.  I can see the Sonos on the network it has an ip address and I can see port 1443 is open.  However the App never finds it on the network.  I have read that it does not handle SSID’s that are dual 2.4G and 5G so I do have an SSID for 2.4G only.  On both SSID’s I see the unit acquires an ip address (same ip), yet is not found.  I see comments on rebooting the router, which in my case will not make any difference as mine is a true pfsense router and have several AP’s throughout my network.   I can see the Sonos on the network so is communicating with the network just fine and the AP can ping the unit.  This is more the app not finding the unit on the network.

Hello, I am in the process of renovation of my apartment, For my living room area I would like to have 5.1 sound system. My plan is to add 2 inceiling sonance speakers above the sofa connected to sonos amp, the room is only 4m wide.1 sonos arc1 sonos sub The sonos amp would be in technical cabinet speakers connected with audio cables.From my understanding you have to connect the arc to the TV thru HDMI arc port and set the in-ceiling speakers as surround speakers and it should work? if I want to have also a video projector how will it work? would I have to unplug the HDMI to plug it to the projector? Also can I use all speakers when playing music from the sonos app directly?Thanks for your answers. For now i mostly want to choose my set up and know what cables/wires to route in the ceiling and walls to make sure everything works fine once i purchase the entire system.Mael

I am still using a bridge which prevents me from upgrading my system to s2.The upgrade wizard tells me that my system will work fine without the bridge. But if I accept this and upgrade what happens if it doesn’t work well? Is there any way back?

Hello,I have a TV (The Frame - Samsung) and a Video-projector.They are connected to a video amp (onkyo 609).(Multiplie sources like PC, PS5, etc.. are connected to this amp).I'm thinking of replacing my 5.1 speaker system with several Sonos speakers (Beam + Sonos One SL + Sub).Questions:Can I send the sound from my Onkyo amp, to the beam, through the S/PDIF jack? And then, is it the BEAM that synchronizes the Sub and the One SL? I've read everywhere, but I'm having trouble understanding how to send sound from the amp to the sonos ecosystem ! thanks
