What is the difference between Gen 1 & Gen 2 Sonos One speaker?

Best answer by GuitarSuperstar

The Gen 2 has a better processor, more memory, and utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to facilitate the initial setup of the speaker. Everything else, including how it sounds and how it looks, is pretty much the same as the Gen 1.

I think I read somewhere that the microphone array, it’s processor and it’s WiFi adapter were improved in the gen2 version, but I’m not entirely sure of the precise detail. I have a stereo pair of both generations and they appear to work and sound the same to my ears.
