I have a wired stereo. I just need the Sonos internet box and a bridge. What should I order ?

I bought my Beam when it was first released. It worked beautifully until about 6 months ago. Now voices are low and difficult to hear. I turn the volume way up to hear the voice during a movie or show. However, during a music segment it blasts me. I can’t watch tv like this. I did re-tune TruePlay and Speech Enhancement is turned on. In fact, toggling Speech Enhancement makes no difference. Any ideas? Can a Beam be repaired?

I must be being rather thick, but I don’t see how I can search for a particular composer in Amazon Music Unlimited. For example, if I search my local music library for “haydn” on the PC app, then I get a list of all the variations of haydn - I can then pick one and see all the albums under that composer (e.g. Michael Haydn, rather than Franz Joseph). This isn’t great, and is why I always use the folder view - but it’s better than nothing. However, if I search Amazon music, then there isn’t a composer tab, so I can only see a mish-mash of haydn related info under Artist or Album or Songs. On the phone app, I don’t even seem to be able to choose which dataset to search, but if I choose the composers tab then it only shows my local library. Neither the phone of the PC apps seem to find anything by Michael Haydn.What am I missing, please? 

I'm using Samba to share files from a Raspberry Pi.The Sonos app sees mp3 files, but not AAC files.Any ideas?Thanks

I bought 2 second hand Sonia Play 3’s.I got home and did a factory reset on them. But they won’t show up when I click add product. Sometimes the orange light just stays on. I have tried plugging them into the Ethernet cable hoping it’s a software update they need.  any ideas? 

Ive been having issues with my Sonos ARC and i can only get sound stable when I turn off the earc option on my LGCX. Which was then outputting sound at 5.1 where available. NOW however it is outputting Dolby Atmos tho i still have earc disabled on my settings. WTF is going?

I have one Sonos One standing in my kitchen. My parents are on vacation since about too weeks, but this night I was laying on our couch next to the living room watching tv and the box just started playing news about the current Ukraine situation. I thought the tv might have triggered it and tried telling it to shut up, but since it didn’t answer I checked and the mic was off all the time. I am alone at home so this was kind of scary, especially since I myself haven’t used this box for the last few days. This happened once before if I recall correctly but back then (it’s about 1-2 months ago) I didn’t give it any attention and thought my mom had done it (when telling her she left the news on later, she told me she didn’t turn on the box).Did this happen to anyone else before or does anyone know how/why this happens?

I have a Arc, sub, and two SL One grouped for surround sound.  After the update of Sonos voice assistant every couple days the sound bar stops playing Sonos Radio or Deezer and does not show up in the Sonos app.  It is not clear but the OS might be rebooting and then connects back.  I had the same thing with a SL one that the SonosNet is started from.I removed the Sonos voice assistance from all of the speakers to see if this helps but does not. This happens when streaming music vs watching TV.

Watching Stranger Things on Netflix which states it’s an atmos soundtrack but beam Gen 2 says it’s Dolby digital plus 5.1 ?LG 65BX oled connected to beam via earc TV set to pass through, other Netflix atmos content plays as atmos via beam strange ? or am I missing something ?

I have HiSense TV (model: h50n5300) - I have surround sound set up and when playing music it is working as expected, however when switching to TV the sound is only outputted through the Ray soundbar. The TV supports 5.1 surround sound with RAW and PCM audio settings.

I would like to play music (both radio and turn table) on my Arc soundbar as well as my One SL speakers.  Here is what I tried and it has not gone well:  First I purchased a Port and a receiver.  The receiver I purchased did not have a Digital Audio Input, which the port instructions say you need.  I then purchased a Denon receiver that does have a digitial audio input but you have to hook it up to a tv to set it up.  I just want to play radio and use my turntable from the receiver to the soundbar/speakers I have set up.  How do I do this?  What receiver should I use.  Thanks for your help!

I currently have the Beam + 2 Ikea Symfonisk bookshelves speakers. The Beam placed in front and the two Symfonisk in the back.  However, I’m interested in more sound in the front as not everything I watch onTV is with proper surround sound and then the Beam is a little «weak» sounding all alone. So I was thinking adding two Symfonisk in front as they are cheap and produce good enough sound for this use.  Would this work? Beam + 2x Symfonisk taking care of the sounds in front and supporting the Beam in stereo broadcasts and 2x Symfonisk in the back as the rear surround speakers? Thanx in advance for any reply and help!

I want to delete my Sonos account fully and also selling my Sonos Speaker gen2 to a unknown owner, I know about doing the factory reset, but just seems so complicated for a simple process.Anyone had this problem.

I have a stereo pair of Sonos five - I have my turntable plugged in to line in on the left speaker. Can I also use the line in on the right speaker for a CD player, both plugged in at the same time (obviously only using one input at a time). Thanks

I have a Roku ultra that streams to my Samsung tv.  I use an HDMI to push sound from my tv to my sonos beam.  I have a sub connected wirelessly to the beam.  My issue is that I get consistent distortion during low range “ominous” scenes during action movies, Stranger Things, etc.  I’m stumped as to how I resolve.  No issues when streaming music.  I’m guessing I’m missing something simple but I can’t seem to figure this out!  Any help appreciated.  

Sonos specifications indicate UPNP compatibility.There is an option in the settings menu to enable UPNP functionality.After this is enabled, the UPNP servers on the local network should show up in the Browse Music area.However, I cannot find a UPNP server for the Mac that actually works.  Sonos cannot see any of them, even though other clients on the same network see them.I realize there is a “pay to play” feature to use PLEX’s proprietary system, if I am okay with opening my local network to remote access from the Plex servers in Virginia.  But I don’t really need another monthly fee and security concern….especially since the functionality I seek is apparently already built in to Sonos. The only media server I have read about working with Sonos locally is the Windows Media Server….which of course it not an option for my Mac.Has anyone figured out any Mac media servers that work like that? 

Recently my Connect:Amp stopped working.  The unit does not have the white light on and will not show in my system with the other Connect:Amps and Amps.  I unplugged the unit, waited about 30 seconds, and then plugged it back in.  The white light came on for about 3 seconds and then turned off.  It will not come back on even if I hold down the play button or a combination of the front buttons.  Please help.

Hi Everyone, I bought a Beam (Gen1) less than 2 years ago. By end of 2021 I added a Sub (Gen3). They have been working fine for some time, but a couple months ago Beam started disappearing from the app.Music stops playing, then, in the System info, Beam (sometimes Beam and Sub both) appears without any info, then Beam disappears completely and I get the message: “Sub (?+Sub) - Device is not configured” ” instead of “Living room (+Sub) - Beam” in the System-products menu. After some time, just few mins, the Beam appears again and starts working (till next time).A few additional info: this happens only using streaming service (Spotify, Amazon Music, Sonos Radio). It never happens when playing TV or streaming from phone or music library (NAS).At first it happened randomly. It could work fine for 30-45mins or more. Recently, this happens every few mins. In Sonos Radio KWPQ FM 103.3 is playing some unknown ambient backgroud music. When I load the URL of the stream Sonos does play KWPQ FM 103.3. Does anyone know what's happening here?

I have an LG UN9000 tv with a Panasonic UB150 4k player and the Beam (Gen 2).  Lately I’ve been noticing that when playing a 4k disc w/Dolby Atmos sound, at certain points of the movie the sound will cut out for a second or two before picking back up.  It seems to happen when a loud piece of action happens in the movie.  For instance, I was watching “War of the Worlds” the other night and when the first tripod comes out of the ground and crushes the car that Tom Cruise is hiding behind, the sound cuts out completely and the blu ray player resets.  It only seems to happen during Atmos playback and I’ve tried a firmware update on the player to no avail.  Has anyone had a similar issue?  I’d love to fix this as it’s incredibly annoying as I try to enjoy Atmos audio.  Thanks in advance for anything to help! 

Upgraded to a new Synology NAS, and upgraded from S1 to S2. Added the path to the new NAS and deleted the path to the old. However the system still tries to connect to music that was loaded on the old device. Tried this on both the IOS mobile and the MAC desktop apps.How can I remove the old library references so that it only uses the new ones? Alternatively, how can I remove all links to the library so that I can start again, tried it using the “Manage Library Settings” but made no difference?Have seen similar problems In the past if I move music to different locations in my library, the music index update fails to remove the old links. 

Hi,Everything works fine until I connect Mibox streamer to one of other HDMI ports. When I turn off and on the TV, after a few seconds, tv switches to internal speakers. I need to change the output to HDMI manualy or disconnect the Mibox.  Beam connected to HDMI 2HDMI-eARC enabled Pass throughCEC enabledTried to switch Quick start + on and off. Didn't help. Any suggestions? Thank you 

I have two One SL’s and a Roam in my Apple Home, Siri works accordingly but in the home app it shows as not playing, except it is! Please see attached screenshot. Is this expected behaviour? When looking at the studs bar, it shows as none of my Sonos are playing until a long press reveals what actually is playing   I have checked this via AirPlay and via the Sonos app. Any insight is greatly welcomed  my OCD is going crazy! 

Does anyone know how long it takes for Sonos to ship? I ordered 2 room combo a few days ago and still saying the a preparing for shipment. website says order usually ship the next day after ordering. 

Just tried to use a LG TV remote with the Sonos Amp (Nothing connected to HDMI port). It recognises the volume control and I am able to control volume but doesn’t seem able to mute, play/pause or skip tracks all of which would be really useful to be able to do with the remote. Am I doing something wrong or is this just nor supported using IR?
