I don’t have either Turntable and I’m certainly no TT/Vinyl enthusiast, but studying the reviews on YouTube, it appears in comparison-tests the Pro-Ject T1 SB has the slight edge on overall sound - it does have an easy option to switch between 33 & 45 speed, whereas the Rega Planar 1 requires the removal of the mat & platter and manual switching of the belt on the drive pulley to change playback speed - so if you plan to play both singles and albums you might find that becomes rather tedious.

So my own personal suggestion would be to go with the Pro-Ject T1 SB, it’s also slightly easier to setup, though both are simple and what you might call plug’n’play, but of course wait to see what others may have to say about these things too.
