On 04.april I ordered a Sonos Beam gen2 Black. The order was paid in full, wich was confirmed by Sonos support. It has been on storage from several weeks on the online shop and the order is marked as "getting ready for shipment* in mypage and it has been like this for several weeks.  I have called and sent email several times, but I do not get an answer. The sales-department has not picked up the phone for several weeks and I only manage to get through to the support departementet wich do not have expertise in sales. 

Spoke to Sonos customer service. The staff were friendly, polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The products I’ve used have generally been great, easy to setup, user-friendly and are relatively seamless and produce decent quality sound for the price-point… but I’ve hit a snag on my Sonos journey that I’m hoping will not be the end of an otherwise good relationship. Was hoping to grab the sub gen 3 to compliment the set, but really want to overcome this hurdle first.Problem: can’t add my recently inherited 2x Play:5 gen 2’s to my new Arc as ‘surround’ speakers.So far:1. The play:5’s came factory reset from a friend and I had no problem connecting to them or adding them to my ‘Living room’ (where the Arc is).2. I can link the play:5’s as ‘stereo speakers’ no problem, both in the ‘Living room’ or other rooms.3. When trying to link them to the Arc as ‘surround speakers’ (noting that this has been attempted following a factory reset and relinking as well as after they had been setup as ‘stereo

I’m moving from House A to House B, taking House A’s Sonos speakers with me and planning to add them to House B’s existing Sonos system:- House A is my house and my Sonos system;- House B is my partner’s house and her Sonos system (mine really, but set up under her credentials, unlike in House A)- The end result is we want all speakers working at House B in a single system. Both House A & B’s Sonos systems are currently fully WiFi (ie. no wired connections, no Sonosnet connections).- NB A slight complication, perhaps, is that while House A is on S2, the destination system is on S1 as it still contains an old Play:5. As part of this move process, that old Play:5 will be removed and so it will be possible to update House B’s system to S2. It’s not clear to me that the instructions in: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/1061?language=en_US  cover this scenario… 1. How do I go about achieving the above?2. And importantly, do I need to do anything to “prepare” House A’s speakers pre-mo

Have Lg uhf 50 tv. Trying to add Ray. Sound out set as digital sound out auto (tried Pcm also) and simplink off as it’s not hdmi. No sound. Settings on Sonos are just standard. Tried turning on and off and reset to no avail. Does the audio out that comes with Ray different than previous? It fits fine in that but different shape on back of my tv which less than 5 years old. One on the tv doesn’t seem like it’s already in. Don’t want to push too hard as that’s what happened with the arc hdmi, it pushed the jack in so I can’t get at it. Any help appreciated. 

I have a Roam, two Ones and a Beam (the latter 3 are grouped).When I’m listening to Spotify (on any device) it randomly stops and starts playing on the Roam. This happens when I’m listening on another device on my network but also when I’m not even home and just listening on my phone or in the car. Always to the Roam, not any of the others.I thought it might be a Spotify issue so I logged out of all devices and then reauthenticated. Just after I did that it randomly started playing a podcast (I use Pocketcast). Shortly after I turned it off it played another spotify track. The tracks it picks are very random too - not songs I would listen to.I’ve checked my network and nobody has sneaked on without my knowledge. At any rate, it is playing my media, just not what I’m asking.Any idea what is going on?? 

I currently have a surround system using a sonos beam generation 1 and 2 sonos one.I have just bought a Sonos beam generation 2 and was thinking about changing my surround system by swapping the Sonos beam Gen 2 with the Gen 1 and using the Gen 1 elsewhere.Is it worth doing or will it be more hassle than it’s worth?

As reported by others, my Sonos occasionally plays the chime instead of the configured radio station when my alarm goes off. I’ve run a diagnostics and my confirmation number is 1670237215.

Hello, We’ve collected Sonos speakers over the course of a few years and ended up with two fives in stereo and two rear-facing ones in stereo. As I understand there is no way to make the front facing fives part of the 5.1 channel that the soundbar + 1’s + sub would create, correct? Is there any way to accommodate them? We really like the 5’s for listening to music, but the 1’s are not a true rear surround now while watching movies. I know we should have done our homework more, but we slowly acquired these overtime and recently moved, which yielded us a very large common space that contains all of these speakers.

Greetings everybody,I would highly appreciate your potential help and suggestions on my problem here. Situation:Sonos Arc(wired) with Sub gen.3 and 2 x Ones. All show as “WM0” in the report. Gigabit fiber internet at home. Provider’s router has WiFi disabled and i use Ubiquity Unify UAP-AC-LR (wired to the router) for a 5ghz WiFi. No 2.4ghz radio enabled. Signal and speed of Wifi when Sonos is not engaged is around 350-400mbps on mobile and wireless devices (Speedtest). PC with ethernet cable always shows around 950 mbps in speedtests. A very good speed. Xbox, Sonos, LG TV, EuFY dorbell system, are all connected to a TP-Link managed switch via ethernet. I have no audio drops when Sonos is playing. It works fine. Distance from the Arc to the Unify AP is 3 meters.My problem:When i play Sonos, either with Spotify or TV sound, the speed of the WiFi drops dramatically. Hi,  I’m thinking of buying a Sonos Move to pair with my bluetooth turntable.  Question is - If the turntable and Move speaker are connected via bluetooth, can I then beam the sound from the turntable (bluetooth connection) across the rest of my Sonos set up at the same time using the Wi-fi network? thanks! 

Hi, I just wanted to ask for thoughts - is it better to get two Roams as a stereo pair or one five in stereo? I’m guessing the five has better sound but not really a whole lot of separation of audio...or do you think otherwise? I saw a thread on here about buying a Port or a five for a turntable and I bought a Port and now I’m using two Roams to listen to music in my office but now I’m thinking damn, maybe I should have just bought a five for everything (knowing i still need a preamp and line in)…. 

Hi all - I have just bought the Sonos Ray as a soundbar for my 2022 LG OLED 48A16LA tv. Has anybody been able to connect LG’s magic remote to the Sonos Ray? I’ve followed the conventional wisdom of going into the TV’s Universal Control Settings and getting as far as choosing Philips (no Sonos option available) only for the remote not to be recognised when the tv runs the test with the “power” button. Nothing happens when the onscreen “power” button is clicked so it defaults to another test and so on and so on but none of them connect. From the other side, when I use the Sonos phone app Settings/System/Device/Remote Control setup, and I click the Volume Up button as suggested, the Sonos Ray lights up and is being read by the remote however the app tells me it has failed (as soon as I finish pushing the buttons). So the magic remote is communicating with it but it will still not raise nor lower the volume. Any advice is welcome before I fuck the lot of them out the window. Thanks in adva

Previously I used to use my Playbar, sub and two Play 1s to mimic 5.1 at my old house. I recently moved and at my new house there are 4 JBL ceiling speakers, 2 (L+R) at the halfway mark between the TV and where we sit on the couch and another 2 behind the couch (L and R as well). So I'm wondering what my best setup will be if I use my existing Sonos speakers and the 4 wired speakers.1. I definitely want the rear two to be part of my Sonos system. 2. Could I use the middle speakers (between the couch and TV) as Front L+R, use the back ones as rears and have my two Play 1s paired but in the backyard as a different zone? 3. Is there any configuration where I will not be able to use my Sonos sub with wired speakers in the mix?

Hi there,I have a Sonos Amp connected to my Vizio TV television for Audio. I consistently seem be seeing a lag in Audio that results in lip sync issues where audio lags the video. My understanding is that the features on the Sonos and on my TV are designed to address issues where the audio is ahead of the video rather than the opposite. Therefore, neither is helpful.I have noticed this for various inputs including the built-in chromecast on the TV, but also just TV over the air direct from the antenna.Set-up includes:HDMI connection from TV to Amp believe through that specialized type of HDMI port. ARC I think? Low latency setting in Sonos (75ms or whatever the latest setting is there) Various digital output settings on TV including Bitstream, Auto, and Dolby. All seem to have basically the same result. Two Sonos Ones set-up as rear speakers Is this just expected given the way that Sonos shares audio with devices wireless even if I’m not actually listening to those other devices? Anyth

I’ve spent the last 3 hours trying to get my play 1 to connect to my new MacBook as a speaker following all sorts of guides and stuff. No chance. It won’t show up as a speaker. I have no interest in Radio of any kind or any service that chooses the music for me. I want to choose what music I play and when it plays. Is there anything I can do that Play:1 is capable of doing? Cheers Stefan

When is SONOS going to listen to its customers and stop this TUNE IN catastrophy ? As mentionned in numerous posts on this blog, Tune In regularly fails to access my radio (France Musique, French public classical music) . But when it does, i have to support their advertisements, although France Musique is a Public radio and DOES NOT HAVE PUBLICITY ! This means the Tune In ad revenus go totally in Tune In and, probably, SONOS pockets ! Considering we have all bought SONOS products without any mention of the obligation to have publicity when using them, this is the biggest scam i have yet met in the hi-fi business. All my SONOS products are now on sale on internet, and I strongly advise not to buy anything from this society on social media. If we all do likewise, maybe they will listen...

I have just upgraded to a nice new shiny 65 inch Panasonic 2021 OLED TV, everything appears to work perfectly in respect of optical connection from the TV to my Sonos Playbar however the Playbar cannot/will not learn the volume settings from my infrared remote whilst trying to train it using the volume up button. Has anybody come across this issue with the most recent universal Panasonic remote (mine is a R3PA265) and if so is there a known fix to get the volume up, down and mute buttons to work.

Was there another update last night?  My 8 am alarm started, but no music in Office.  Checked the app, Office had been ungrouped.  This happens every time there’s an update.

If a guest is playing a song on my Sonos and I want to add that song to one of my playlists the S2 controller won't allow me to add it. Or even take me to the album or song info on the S2 controller so I can manually add it. However, I can see in the S2 controller what song is being played. I don't see why this connection couldn't be established so you can continue curating your playlist from songs guests are playing. When I click the (...) It doesn't give any options.  

I want to use my iphones microphone as source and sonos roam as an amplifier. Many people don’t speak very loud and are difficult to hear t.ex. When they are making a speach to a party. I have just been to a birthdayparty - 80 years- and it was very difficult to hear speaches. Maybe sonos could integrate this possibility in the app. I´m sure, that it will be very popular.???

I am about to purchase a new iPhone 13 pro.  At the moment I am using my Sonos app on an iPhone XR.  The app is the latest 2 version and my speaker is the Sonos 1 (2nd generation).  Will Sonos automatically work when I transfer app to new phone or will I have to do anything in settings?  Your help is much appreciated.

Hi there, I’ve just added the Radioplayer service. I am in Germany and Radioplayer is only listing German Radio stations. Afaik, Radioplayer is also available in other countries.Why can’t I select a French or British radio station in Germany ??? I know that I can do that with TuneIn, but TuneIn is playing ads when I start streaming a radio station, so I want to stop using their service if there is an alternative. Thanks in advance!Oliver
