My main system is a Lyngdorf 1120 based system but For the Dining room i am thinking of getting a Sonos 5.  Is it possible to use it with wireless headphones

Use an RCA switch?

Use an RCA splitter and simply power the subs off when you want to listen on headphones?

The Sonos Five has no provision for headphones, wireless or otherwise. You would have to use a Sonos Port, connected to a suitable transmitter.

After a quick look at the Lyngdorf system I’d have thought you’d be better off trying to connect a headphone transmitter to your TDAI-1120. Indeed the user manual says that the RCA outs are for “Analog connection to subwoofer(s), tape recorders, external amplifiers or headphone amplifier”.

You are correct but I already use them for connection to 2 sub woofers so I need a different solution
