I only found year+ old threads on this topic. Is this a feature Sonos plans on implementing? YTM has a great new music suggestion algorithm but it's useless if I can't feed the like from Sonos back to YTM. Help! 

Hello Sonos:We have a Sonos Arc which is connected by HDMI to our TV. It works great when played with movies and by itself. However, when we play music through the Sonos App (Sonos Radio or Amazon music) with the other connected speakers the Sonos Arc is delayed and skipsout. It is very frustrating and we have no clue how tofix it. Thanks in advance for your help. 

Help me to understand how I can turn my TV (HTML ARC) on and not have to adjust the volume up every time. Why can’t the Sonos Amp hold its last volume position? This is the way audio devices have worked since forever. If I am missing something, let me know. Can this be a software update? What is the meaning of have it default to 0 anyway?

iPhone app only controls volume, will not control station selection or speaker selection but omputer app works fine.  I have one speaker hard wired to router, others are wifi.   All works well with computers but not at all with iPhone app.   I get the message “unable to play the station”

I recently made this post and marked it as answered but it was by accident and I don’t know how to unmark it so forgive me. I have an arc with a sub and 2 one sl, but over the past 2 weeks my arc will cut out when watching content in Dolby atmos. Sometimes it will cut out after watching for 5 minutes and other times it will take 30 mins to an hour to cut out. I have called and chatted with support several times to no avail. But if I reboot my arc the sound will come back again for 30 mins to an hour or sometimes if I just watch a non Dolby atmos show the sound will come back within a minute. I have an Apple TV 4K with a 55 lg cx but I have tried to watch something directly through the tv and the sound still cuts out. I also bought a new hdmi cable. I have also turned off a lot of devices to make sure the arc had plenty of bandwidth available and the sound will still cut out. 

Hello,When setting up networks on the 2.4GHz band, it is required, for some Sonos devices, to set the router/access point to mixed mode (802.11 a/b/g/n).The disadvantage of this is that with mixed networks, the speed always adapts to the lowest possible protocol. If someone has five devices in the house, four of which support 802.11n and one 802.11b, all four 802.11n devices will be affected because they will have to adapt to the speed of the 802.11b standard.It is possible to use SonosNet to create your own internal network for the Sonos products. Preferably, one Sonos product should be connected by cable and the Sonos speakers should be connected via SonosNet. If this is not an option, then at least one Sonos device must be connected via Wi-Fi to be able to connect to the controller (which means the network setting must still be 802.11 mixed on older devices).Now for my question. I recently upgraded to a Mac Studio and now I am unable to connect to my music folders which are stored on an external drive. My old iMac didn't have any issues. The location of the folders was not showing up in Sonos correctly so I deleted them from the Sonos Music Library Settings and tried to add them back. When I try to add them, I get the following message:In the ‘Get info’ panel for the folder, Ive changed the permissions for SonosDMS from Custom to Read & Write, but when click ‘Next’ after entering the folder path, it gets changed back to Custom.I currently have the firewall turned off.Sonos is working as expected using streaming services.Apple Studio M1 MaxMacOS 12.3.1Sonos Controller 14.6

Hi there, I've had a sonos arc approximately 1 month and had no issues. Nothing has changed and now tv stays muted when I try to play volume through arc. No cables have been changed, nothing has been damaged. It just decided not to work. I try to change volume and unmute with tv remote, and it just shows mute symbol. Tv will play volume when I change the output. Sonos arc will play music from phone.  Any tips would be appreciated. 

Hi ALL Can we use Sonos Ray with optical to HDMI Converter  if possible or valuable in the market.And if yes , then is it ok to use the optical to HDMI converter ? And can we use Ray as in surround speaker for Sonos 5.1 setup yes or no ?? Please Suggest.   

I just set up my SONOS Move and installed the app on my phone. It works great with this device. I would like to use the Bluetooth with other devices - mainly a laptop for if I watch a film/tv show.  However, my laptop cannot find the Move. Does anyone know why this could be? Or how to fix this? 

We have several Amazon Echo Dots in the house, a pair of Sonos One in stereo and a Beam Mk 2, everything working fine until a couple of days ago. We have the beam in the lounge and the Alexa side is done through a Echo Dot, only reason we did this was the mike on the beam didn't pick up commands without shouting them loudly. Its worked faultlessly until the last couple of days when for some reason when you ask it to play a BBC Radio Station it goes through the motion but the station never starts. I even tried disconnecting the Echo dot and using the Beam mike, same thing happened. I reset the beam and the Dot and it didn't sort it. Its a random issue and has been hit and miss for the last few days. All the other echo dots work fine and so do the Sonos One paired speakers. I have tried to contact Amazon but they are not easy to contact. Its a real puzzle and i just have no idea what the issue is. Since mid December Sonos Alarms stopped grouping our rooms.  The first Alarm of the day is the main issue, it will not Group our 5 Rooms.   After we manually Group all 5 Rooms and reset sound (some rooms stop playing sound for some reason even when First Alarm is Grouped)  all Alarms, more than 6,  come on throughout the day for the most part.   Except for 2 stations in the evening that we stream, we hear the Chime. Sonos or Tunein will no longer stream these two stations, but will stream if reset manually.  Several interactions with Sonos staff have failed to resolve these issues, we remade Alarms, rebooted router, modem several times and more.  We paid a bundle to upgrade Sonos system 2 years ago, 4 Amps, 1 Port, Move Speaker, Sonos now only provides frustration.  We suspect an upgrade to some software program in Sonos, Tunein or ? in mid December threw things off.  Perhaps Tunein?  We are on the “Free” Tunein.  Alarms all worked just fine for many years until December.  We have over

Hey brains trust, I bought an Apple TV 4K to add to my existing set-up, which comprises of the LG C1 and the Arc/2x One SLs/Sub gen. 3. I read connecting the Arc to the C1's eARC HDMI port and the Apple TV 4K to one of the "regular" ARC HDMI port is the way to go.Is this the above an optimal connection sequence in order to maximise the entire set-up's audio performance/feature sets (lossless sounds, Dolby Atmos, etc.)? Or does the ATV4K have to be plugged into the eARC port instead?I'm relatively new to the Sonos ecosphere and home theatre in general, and still learning how things relate/interact with each other.

Was having intermittent issues with connect amp. Unplugged it and it wouldn’t stop flashing white. I tried to hold down the two buttons and nothing. Then I did hard reset by holding down buttons while plugging in. Then it was flashing orange  and white.   Tried to add it. Got as far as wifi trying to connect to amp and got no further.  Issue I assume?😤😤😤😤

I can replay Pandora and Apple stations with no issues but SiriusXM stations display “Unable to play the  Radio station” message

Hi,I’ve had my Roam up and running about a year.  However, I let the battery run down and now the unit refuses to switch on.I charged the Roam back up by plugging in the cable. The light was solid orange the whole time while charging and now the light is off (which I assume means the battery is full?). I used the official Sonos plug (10w) to charge the unit.However, when I hold the units back on/off button down nothing happens and the speaker appears to be off still. It also no longer appears in the Sonos app so I’m very sure the unit is off.Is there anything else I can do? Is the unit broken?Any info would be great.Thanks

I have used Sonos for years, here is my current set of speakersFour Sonos Play 1’s - only two recognized by Sonos 2 One Sonos 3 One Sonos 5 (Gen 1) - Removed from the system One Sonos 5 (Gen 2) - Not recognized by Sonos 2 One Sub One Playbar One Sonos Connect - Removed from the systemAs the App slowly coached me over to Sonos 2, i was slow to move over and used to old app for some time. At some point I updated my system to Sonos 2 and it advised me at that time that some speakers were not compatible. Namely the Connect and the Sonos 5 (Gen 1). Not all speakers were online at the time i updated. Once done, i am no longer able to run the older application. Would it make sense that the ones not online (had them unplugged for various reasons) are excluded now?I now have two Play 1’s that are not recognized and the Sonos Play 5 (Gen2) is not recognized either. Initiating music from the Amazon App and playing on Sonos speaker no longer shows the now playing details on the Sonos app.  Just shows Amazon Alexa.  No HD or Ultra HD symbol showing either.

Hello,I have 2 daughters which both hold a Sonos One in their room. They both want to use the Google Assistant to play their playlist on Spotify.Unfortunately, Google Assistant is using always the same account on both loudspeakers.Is there a way how I can pick and choose the Default Spotify Account?   

Recently the S2 app on my Andriod 11 phone stopped working, showing only blank placeholder screens for every function except speaker firmware update. Uninstalling and re-installing didn’t help. It was apparently insisting that a speaker firmware update was mandatory.However, all earlier versions of the S2 app on my other device continued to work just fine, so I reverted to an older version of the S2 app on my phone, and it worked fine there as well.So apparently this is a new heavy-handed attempt by Sonos to force firmware updates by crippling the app until you comply. Why not just update the firmware? Because then it won’t be the same product that works with my various platforms now - Sonos firmware updates of the past have permanently removed compatibility and functionality and are irreversible. There is no commitment to warn users of this in the release notes, so firmware updates can’t be trusted.

Okay, Im sure this question has been asked before but i cant seem to find a fix/answer at all only somebody saying to set a volume limit (which wont work in this case and ill explain why later on) My Setup: 2 Sonos One speakers either side of our sofa and 2 sonos in-ceiling speakers connected directly to the sonos amp which is connected to my Samsung 75” smart TV using ARC-HDMI Volume levels for following scenario:  1/10 is really quite  and 10/10 is really loud Scenario: Watching TV volume at 5/10 everything is fine. Turn tv off and cook dinner. Ask Alexa to play a song on Spotify on the Sonos ONE (have grouped them so they also play through the ceiling speakers). Volume is now 10/10 and neighbour can hear my music just as well as I can. Volume is so loud it almost punctures your ear drums. Turn the volume down to 5/10 to listen to music during dinner. After dinner you turn the TV on to watch a film and the volume is 1/10 and you cant hear a thing so you turn it up to 5/10 again and n
