We’re doing a big backyard renovation and trying to figure out the setup and what I need to have an electrician do.  I have some general questions about using Sonos AMP + Outdoor speakers + TV. My assumption is that the best setup to get the TV connected is to connect HDMI ARC from TV to Amp, correct? The TV will only use native apps for TV (YouTube TV, HBO Max, etc).  How easy will it be to switch audio via Siri/Airplay from the TV or vice versa? Any other considerations I need to have as I begin getting equipment and cables for the electrician? Thanks in advance for any insight as to what may be needed.

Hi. For some reason my Sonos Sub 3 has stopped working on WiFi but I have since solved the problem by connecting my Sub directly to my router. However I am curious as to why this should happen on WiFi but not on an ethernet connection?I now have my Arc and Sub connected directly to my router with just my 2 One SL's connecting via WiFi as I have had no issues with my 2 surround speakers! It was only with the Arc and Sub that I had connection issues. It was strange as when I had the problem the Sub was showing on the Sonos app but no sound was coming out of the Sub whilst it was on WiFi.Just curious. By the way I have tried all the usual things like rebooting my router etc.Just to add that before when I only had the Arc on a wired connection (I think it's called SonosNet), on the Sonos app under 'About My System' I only used to have the Arc on WM:0 but now not only is the Sub on WM:0 but the 2 SL's are as well and they are still on WiFi?How is that?I would have thought that my 2 SL's would

My Sonos S1 gen 1 will not connect to my phone so I am unable to connect to wifi.I have done multiple factory resets. I have 3 units but none will connect.

Hello All, I have a Sonos setup in my home with a Play5, 3 Sonos One, and a Sonos Port connected to powered monitors. I have successfully run with no issues for years on my Netgear Orbi Mesh.Since the last Sonos update, each speaker drops connection randomly every day or so. The only way to recover is to power down and reboot the device. I show no issues in the network or router, have done packet tracing etc (Im an engineer) and there is no anomaly in any other device on the network (PCs, TVs, cell phones, etc). Even though it was a waste of time, I reset and re-setup all devices on the network, but the problem persists ONLY with the Sonos devices and the Sonos app. Anyone else seeing similar issues?

I have attempted to connect my Sonos One to my Nest Wifi. Quick Help suggests adjusting my router which has has both 2.4 & 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz. Why is the Sonos not automatically connecting to the 2.4 GHz?

I have an older Mac Mini, A1347, from late 2014, hooked up to my home theater system for some games on it. Apparently this model doesn’t send audio out through the HDMI cable. My system in that room uses a Playbar, two Sonos 1 players, and the woofer (forgot what it’s called). When I try to use AirPlay so I can play the audio from this Mac through my theater sound system in the same room, that system (based on the Playbar) is not on the list of Sonos devices I can use for playback. All the other Sonos devices in that building and in the house (all on the same LAN) show up, but not the theater setup. Is this a solveable problem or is there some reason the Playbar and combined system of 4 speakers can’t handle AirPlay when all the smaller devices can?

Hihave spend a whole day trying to figure out what the problem is. But didn’t succeed, so I hope maybe someone here could help me out. my problem is that in my Sonos app Dolby Atmos is not displayed when watching movies from my Apple TV 4K. It only displays Dolby Digital plus 5.1.alle the movies in different apps (Netflix, Disney, HBO) shows the Atmos option in the info title. Normally when this is displayed I am also receiving Atmos on my Sonos app.  when using the mentioned apps from my tv instead of Apple TV 4K I am also getting Atmos on my Sonos app.  Anybody who can tell med what the h… is going on :)

Help please: I have the Arc, a Sub and 2x Fives for my surrounds in my 'Living Room' zone (Arc+Sub+LS+RS) connected to my television. Can I switch the 2 Fives for use in stereo with my turntable (yes, I have a preamp) so I can listen to vinyl as well (not at the same time)? Thanks in advance.

I added a new album (cd) to my Music Library folder on my computer, but it is not showing up in my Music Library on Sonos.  I have re-booted, etc.  Do I have to remove my Music Library and re-install in Sonos?

This sucks that I cannot log into my Tunein premium service! Now I have to listen to adds each time I want to listen to a radio station. Get with it sonos, your system sucks. Looking for a new home audio system. Sonos is not a user friendly product!

I have a 10-years plus plethora of first generation (S1) products that don’t function with S2 software. Is there a work-around way to get my system to work with Bluetooth devices

Previous (now closed) question from another user notes this problem. Suggested solution is to use Sonos app Line-Out setting as Fixed and not as Pass-through. Both that user and I have followed this fix and still unable to control Sonos Port volume using physical volume control knob. any other ideas? Thank you

Will I be able to adjust the volume from the remote control of my Humax Aura 4K recorder (SPDIF connection) if I plug the Sonos Ray cable into the Humax instead of plugging the Sonos cable into my Panasonic 4K TV.

So I’ve read a few of these issues, more hopeful I was thinking of However…. my issue might be other devices. So… my Sonos is fine when playing things from Android TV, no issue, however my Virgin V6 Box is another matter… there is definate delay there. Some music artists look better at lip syncing that this thing. My question is, is this a problem with maybe the HDMI cable that connects to the TV from my Virgin box, as in would it make a difference? I do have an XBox one, but it’s wired a bit behind things upstairs so want to move that as a last resort just in case….

Basically every other time I turn on my TV the Beam(Gen 1) will not connect with the TV. I then need to unplug the HDMI cable from the TV and plug it back in for it to connect, or doing the Tv setup in the SONOS app also helps with this issue. If I try to fix it within the app, I also need to do the TV setup two times, the first time it will say there was an error, but when I try again it works. I usually just end up removing the cable and putting it back, since that is much quicker. The annoying thing is it happens basically just every other time I turn on the TV. Both the Beam and the TV are running all the latest updates, this has now been going on for about a year. I have tried resetting the TV but that did not help.I have also noticed that when I turn off the TV, sometimes the LED on the Beam turns green, sometimes it stays white.I'm using the HDMI cable that came with the Beam to connect the TV, but maybe changing the cable could help.TV model: TCL 50P815 Running Android TV

Pretty sharp group here - so I will throw out a novice question. Forgive me if this is TMI. I have a pretty solid home system but will be moving into my girlfriends house. Her place, no sound system - so the A/V is up to me. I am starting from scratch at her location and plan on setting up an A/V closet for Vinyl and some older components. . Currently own Sonos - ARC, 2x One SL, and a Sub for the main room.  I would like to incorporate some of my current piecesFluance RT82 Turntable (w/o built in pre-amp)CD Jukebox, VCR & Bluray PlayerLG OLED65C1 TV I also have decent pre-amp and/or an Onkyo TX-NR676 (that says it is Sonos compatible and has both wifi & Bluetooth)   My question is, I do plan on incorporating more Sonos gear throughout the place, but since her place is a blank canvas, would I even need my Onkyo receiver if I do not plan on hardwiring any speakers at this juncture, or should I be selling it and going a different route? And if I keep the the Onkyo receiver with th

I have had my Playbase for about six years and love it. I added a Roam SL just before Memorial Day to replace a dead Bluetooth travel speaker. All of the devices are on an isolated Wi-Fi network and are within 15 feet of each other and the router. We have three iOS controllers- fifth gen iPad, iPhone 13 Pro Max and an iPhone 6S.Some days all of the controllers see the Playbase/Roam pair which is nice.Other days not so much. If lucky on those days at least one controller will see the pair while the others only see the Playbase. Start playing music on the working controller and magically after some period of time the others controllers will see the pair. If unlucky, all of the controllers will only see the Playbase and we have to go through the Support/Find Missing Products routine. If very unlucky, a controller will appear to see the pair and actually start playing music, but you cannot adjust the volume and if you even touch the Rooms button the Roam will stop playing and back to the S

I have 2 hard wired non-Sonos speakers that were working fine for almost a year and then one stopped working.  I reset the amp and then the one that wasn't working started to work and the other was silent.  On my app in shows no line-in connected but I checked all of the connections. Any ideas?

Hi  I am about to add 2 sonos 1s as a stereo pair to my living room. In my conservatory I have an existing system of 2 sonos 1s and a sonos sub. How can I configure the living room pair to use the sonos sub in the conservatory, but ensure the sub still works with the conservatory pair? Thanks for any pointers.

I have been trying to buy the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable in Black for two months now in europe and it is not in stock.  Is there any expectation of it coming back? Not interested in the walnut version not the Pro-Ject T1Really looking forward to get my new setup.

I have a Sonos Beam (Gen 1) and two Sonos One SLs.I recently hooked up a new WiFi router and have a new network name so I began the task of migrating my Sonos system to the new WiFi. Which I’ve always found to be easier to just factory reset everything and start from scratch because the migration tools are tedious and flat out fail most of the time. Now I cannot get my Beam and One’s to pair for surround. All three devices show up in my System.I set them all to “Living Room” and for starters they all get their own living room. So I have Living Room, Living Room 2, and Living Room 3.Which is weird but whatever. The system prompts me to setup surrounds. When I do so this operation always fails. The failure error is generic and says something along the lines of setup failed make sure all devices are powered on and try again. What I’ve tried so far is…Factory reset all speakers, forget my current system, add my Beam, add my One’s, attempt to setup surrounds. This left me with a Living Room w

When I ask my Arc to play music it plays way too loud and I have to go back and tell it to play at level 3. I have seen older post where it should play at the last know setting but that does not work ie: last setting was at Level 3.  It always plays loud and I have to change the setting. I have looked but do not see a start up setting anyplace. Is there anything that can be done so it starts at a set level?

Hi all, I have had all of my routers remapped and a new ssid added for sonos only but I can't add it to the app, does anyone have any ideas how I can do it.

ISSUE 1:My Sonos Arc shows up as a TV in the Alexa app. Therefore, I cannot add it as a speaker to a room. Trying to group together two Sonos speakers is my goal, which I had done previously, but all of the sudden I can’t. Music will play on one speaker or the other, but not both. This is a brand new problem that started today after disconnecting and reconnecting my Sonos “skill” in Alexa to try to fix the below, issue #2.ISSUE 2: (post from Reddit. keep in mind issue #1 hadn’t happened yet at the time I wrote this)I'm pretty frustrated with what is a pretty basic, fundamental thing I want to do with my "smart" speakers- change the volume.I personally tend to use my phone or Sonos app to change the volume, but my partner, roommate, and guests sometimes need to use Alexa. I also like the convenience of it when I'm not near my phone. When I ask Alexa to change the volume of a group, it's only changing the volume of one speaker instead of the whole group. The volume is only changed on the
