Playbase Upgrade to S2 - Poor Sound Quality

I just upgraded to S2 and now the sound on my Plabase is very tinny. Even with max bass there is no real depth of sound. Used t be terrific full bodied sound in S1. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sonos port hapert (ondanks dat hij bekabeld is)

Ik heb sinds gisteren een sonos port en heb deze bekabeld aan mijn router gehangen (WM:0)(SnosNet: Kanaal 1)Ondanks de bekabeling valt om de haverklap het geluid weg. Ik heb mijn platenspeler op de port aangesloten en de compressie aangezet. Ook meldt de SONOS S2 app geregeld dat hij geen verbinding met Sonos kan maken. Als ik de SONOS app open laat staan komt ook deze verbinding na een minuut weer terug.Tevens de situatie dat de app aangeeft geen verbinding te kunnen maken, terwijl de port (via de sonos one) gewoon de muziek van de platenspeler afspeelt.

Since Sonos has two App S1 and S2 I'm not able to use the speaker anymore

I’m a little helpless. Since all this new App S1 and S2. I can not use my speaker anymore and updating of the software isn’t also possible anymore.I do have a Play 5 Gen1 , Play 3 , Play 1 (alexa), Play one How can I get help?

Setting up Sonos Beam, One and Boost with BT Whole Home Mini

Hi, I’m brand new to Sonos having just bought a Beam, a One and a Boost today. I’m intending to set them up tomorrow and after poring through numerous threads in the community I’ve become a bit confused. The house I’m setting them up in has Plusnet 4 mbps broadband with faster broadband not being available in that location. In the room with the router and TV it is adequate for everything I do but elsewhere it is often flaky. I’ve just bought a BT Whole Home mini system to hopefully solve that which I’m also intending to set up tomorrow. The TV is old and has HDMI and optical outputs but not HDMI Arc. What I’m not sure about is how the BT system and the Sonos Boost will co-exist and how to best set them up. I’d been intending to connect the Beam to the TV with the optical adaptor and to the router with ethernet (because I’d read that a wired system is better with poor wifi). I assumed the Boost will also connect to the router with ethernet and similarly the BT Whole Home. Having read ma

Sonos 1 stopped working

Hello. I have two Sonos One - kitchen and study. They have both stopped being recognised by both mobile (iPhone), and laptop (MacBook Pro), apps. Currently they are redundant yet only 16 months old. No reply from Sonos customer care nor the CEO link on the help pages. All other items (Beam; 5 and Play 1’s in living room), working OK. I’d appreciate your thoughts.

Pairing 4 One SLs for TV Surround

I have a Beam along with a 3rd Gen Sub and one pair of One SL speakers all set-up for TV/Theater audio.  Sounded so great I just bought another pair of One SL speakers as I wanted more coverage in the room. So I now have 4 One SL speakers but cannot get them configured so they all play together for home theater and TV (I don’t use them for music).  I’ve fumbled around with the App for an hour now and see conflicting info on here as well. Is it possible to create a true 5.1 surround system with 4 One SL speakers, a Beam, and a 3rd Gen Sub?  Or did I just waste money on second pair of One SLs that I can’t add to my existing set-up?Thanks!

Sonos Arc with one Sonos One speaker?

I have the Sonos Arc and one (1) Sonos One speaker. Is it possible to pair the two so that the Arc plays music along with the Sonos One? Right now only the Sonos One will play music through the Sonos app

Sonos Arc/ Sony A9G Arc Idle Black Screen

When I’m watching cable TV, the television goes into idle with a black screen and Bravia logo on the right bottom corner of the television. What is the work around for this ? I’ve tried everything. Seems like I’m not alone as other Sony users have seen this issue. Thanks !

System not showing in Spotify Devices

My Spotify app doesn’t allow me to connect to my Sonos system.  All I get is the “Connect to a device” screen. My Spotify account is connected to Sonos.  My system is connected to the same WiFi as my phone.   Any ideas?

Boost shows on my router as not active, but speakers are working

I was having some issues with dropped music and speakers so I went into my router to change the channel so it wouldn’t duplicate the Sonos channel.I have Boost wired to the router and Move on the 2.4.Everything seems to be working, but I noticed on my router that Sonos Boost is greyed out (not active).Can anyone explain why the router would think Boost is not active?

Can't add PLAY 1 as right surround

My right play1 speaker is not being recognized for surround sound setup. I have a playbar, sub, and (2) Play1 speakers. I can set them up individually, and as a paired stereo set. But when trying to add as surround - the right speaker isn’t being recognized. the only time I got it to work as surround was when I had a wired connection with the Sonos boost. When I unplugged and moved back to its location - same problems as noted above. Looking for some advice or help please Diagnostic # 88499131

Beam entertainment set + 2 SLs

Hello,I’m new to Sonos system and I want to purchase the Beam entertainment set that includes:1 x Beam1 x Sub2 x One SLAnd I have 2 questions before I proceed with the purchase.1) I want to place SLs in front of and left and right of the beam will Sonos system allow me that or they HAVE to be behind me?My proposal2) In addition to that I want to put two more SLs behind the couch, is that acceptable by the system so you have a “souround” system?  My main question, because I can’t access the app without speakers is, can you add as many as you like in a room and they all work together correctly?

AMP does not re-start

My AMP has stopped working and will not restart at all using the various options.  I was re-adding the external speakers with shorter speaker wire when this occurred. The wiring terminals are correctly matched. I may not have powered off the AMP, but it was not playing.To restart, I have tried matching a power cable from another product, attached to router, held down the connect button when powering etc.  All I hear is a clicking sound but no light and no life.Is it a lost cause or is there another option to restart this thing?  Sonos does not provide weekend support in Australia other than email the CEO...

Synology DS218play as music library Error 900

I am not tech but have read some of the threads regarding problems setting up a Synology as the music library and have changed the lowest level of SMB to SMB1.  My Sonos controller is on a Mac and I’m using the file path //nameofsynology/shared/music.  This doesn’t work - get the error message “unable to add the shared folder //xxxx/xxx/xxx to your music library (900)”.  I’ve tried all combinations of file path.  I don’t input a server name and password because I don’t think I have to??  My previous Synology NAS worked fine (until it died).  I’ve updated Sonos to S2 (have removed an incompatible Bridge in the process).  What else can I do????  I’m just an average computer user, don’t understand most of it!  Help please..

Rear speaker audio chopping sound

I have sonos beam and 2 sonos one connected. When watching a movie the rear speakers sound is chopping. I have never heard it before.is there antything to do? I have a recorder it, but dont know if i can put it up here.

Five - volume at 100% dangerous?

Hi everybody, a couple of 5 in stereo pair bought 2 days ago. My daughter took my phone and put a song at max volume: 100%. Do u think it could cause any damage to the twitters inside? Is there any way to check it by removing the grid? thankslorenzo

System is hosed after library compute upgrade.

I recently upgraded to a new desktop which hosts my SONOS music library. My system is little more than a set of bricks currently,  and so far three separate support chats or calls have ended up in the support person mysteriously disconnecting for no reason. I can only assume they do not want to deal with the issues, but I am increasingly frustrated as an early adopter and long time user of SONOS.Here are my issues:Music library shows the folder on the old computer that no longer exists. When I try to remove it, it simply comes right back.    When I try to add a new folder to the library, the folder is never added. There are no error messages. I have tried adding the local folder and set up a network share and tried that to no avail. I have tried disabling my firewall and Malware Bytes, which also did not work, My Play:1 does not show up on the PC app at all, and says “incompatible” on my android phone app. Attempting to update from both phone and PC ends up in an error every time. Apple Music No Airplay Option.

When I play music through my iPhone using the Apple Music app, I’m supposed to click the airplay icon to change over to my sonos speaker. The speaker however doesn’t show as an option. The only way I can do it is by opening the Sonos app and starting my music search again. Any tips on how to make it visible?

No Tidal on Sonos apps this morning.

Hi allThis morning my Sonos apps cannot find Tidal content. Both on IOS og Android. Both in my setup and at my friends setup at her place.I can stream from Tidal, when I select “Senest afspillet” (latest playlists). I can also make sonos play tidal content from Tidal app. Whats wrong?I’m running S1Best regardsRune
