Sorry if this has been asked before (I’m sure it has...)I’m wondering if it’s possible to use only the left and right One SL speakers from a Surround Set for music playback then continue to use the Beam + 2 x One SLs as a Surround Set for TV audio. Thanks!

I have to single out the Connect Amp to start playing music and then add/group all the other speakers in order to play music, otherwise I receive an error message “unable to add music to the queue.”  Sonos Support could only see the Connect Amp as connected to Wifi and we have not been able to solve the issue despite lots of troubleshooting.  Anyone else have this issue?  When I single out the two speakers connected through the Connect Amp and select the desired music before grouping the remainder of the speakers, everything works fine.  

I submitted diagnostics….confirm # is 1739304462. We have One SLs on both sides of primary tv, and an Amp connected to the tv instead of a sound bar.  Audio is great when playing music.  When watching tv, sometimes the sound is consistent and no problems.  At other times, those two speakers cut in and out like crazy.  I know most have a sound bar, but we were hoping to go this route w/ the Amp for a couple reasons (bad space for sound bar, the Amp also allows us to play vinyl through all the SLs).  I’ve seen the recommendation of unplugging both the Amp and router and have done that once, but can’t imagine constantly doing it.  TIA for any info.

Hi I have a problem of late where our main zone connect amp randomly starts playing a completely random spotify song.  Reading some other topics it seems like a rogue control device is the likely culprit, so Im trying to find out which one!It just happened very recently and I sent a diagnostic file through straight away - number 799321881 - the random play will have been the last thing that played .  Can any of the spotify reps who frequent the forums take a look at it for me and shed any light on the issue. Thanks heaps Barry

How can I connect my Gen 1 Play 5 to the S2 system with my other speakers? I’m looking to have them all play the same music or source.

How come Alexa can't play from the Apple Podcast skill on my Sonos smart speaker?

Hi I’ve just inherited my late father’s old Sonos Zoneplayer S5.  I already have 2 Play 1s and a Play 3 on my system but note I have to use the old Sonos app to manage the Zoneplayer S5. Are there any plans to update the new app to manage the Zoneplayer S5 at all? Also is there any way to connect the Zoneplayer S5 to my Alexa system?  Many thanks   

Since the last update to my Play One and S2app, I can no longer adjust the music on any alarms, new or existing.i have a series of Alarms with music defined, that leverages Tidal. I change the music every now and again to reflect what I’m currently listening to.Alarms with existing tracks/albums/playlists chosen from Tidal work as expected.  if I try and create a new alarm, I can’t choose music from tidal. I see the top level categories (Artists, Albums, etc), but can’t browse them, the app selects the category instead.If I try and create an alarm using another service (amazon prime for example) I can browse fine.From within the main music part of the application, I can browse Tidal as usual and can play music directly. There seems to be a bug/regression or similar that has broken the browsing function within the alarm, but only for tidal. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app,,to no avail.  Any ideas? Thanks Dan  

Hi.. I can see and select Sonos speakers in spotify app but when selected doesn't play. They do work with Sonos app but not with Spotify. Can anybody help me please? 

Hi all, had a new Virgin media hub3 installed yesterday and now can’t play radio stations through the Beam via Alexa. Worked perfectly a week ago, just a new hub fitted! Help please!

Hi,I’m trying to set up my sonos beam in order to play sound from an analogical system. I bought an analog to digital adapter that is offering a sdpif output with the following characteristics : 2 channel, LPCM, no compression, 48 Khz.However, when I plug in the sdpif adapter from the beam, it does not work. The adapter works with my TV, so I know it works by itself.Does anyone know what signal is the sdpif beam adaptor expecting ? Is there any way to make my setting work ? Thanks for reading.

I have a Connect:Amp being used to connect a turntable (Line In) to my living room. Currently it’s just a Beam but the plan is to add Ones or Symfonisks for 5 channel surround. My question is if I use the Sub Out from the C:A to connect to a third-party powered subwoofer, will it provide the missing .1 or would it just send out a generic low level signal? My assumption is the latter, since the Sonos app forces me to create a separate room for the Amp that I can only group with the Beam room. If this is the case, is it even worth it to go the third-party route or should I just save up for a Sonos Sub instead? Setup would be used equally for music and movies/TV.

So I’ve spoken to several Sonos reps on the phone and have not been able to resolve this issue. Basically I’ve recently purchased a used Connect:Amp to be able to connect my turntable (the brand is Tone Factory with built-in pre-amp) via line-in to my Beam. Setup goes smoothly and audio comes out of the Beam no problem when I manually select the turntable in the Sonos S2 app. However, no matter what combination of settings I try, I cannot get the Autoplay feature to switch from whatever the Beam is playing (I've tried with the TV on and off, as well as streaming music through Sonos Radio and Spotify) to the Connect:Amp once I start playing a record on the turntable. One rep told me the reason is that the Beam, which already has TV autoplay, has a built-in delay and waits for a signal from the tv so I must turn off the tv and wait for 10, oh no actually, 20 minutes before autoplay will work on the Connect:Amp. But besides being extremely impractical, I don’t think it can be true because

Hello, I will start by saying I do not have Sonos right now.  I am in the process of building a new house and am thinking of installing a Sonos system.  I have, for some reason, had the hardest time wrapping my head around the system.  I think my main issue is with wired speakers and how it works within the Sonos world.  My wife wants speakers hidden in the walls/ceiling as well as outside.  I now realize that I need the AMP to have wired speakers.  My question is, do I need anything else?  I mean if I want to stream music from Pandora and I want it to play on a Sonos speaker as well as the wired outdoor speakers do the AMPS connect to the other Sonos speakers in the house?  Someone told me I still need a receiver?  Also, if I have the new ARC connected direct to my TV via earc HDMI will the arc connect with outdoor speakers connected to the AMP.   

Hello community,I purchased a new Sonos Arc and removed a lot of my gear to create a more simple surround sound system.  I was forced to update from Sonos S1 to the S2 system.  It was necessary for me to remove several Sonos products from S1 to do the upgrade.  I removed 3 Sonos connect, a Sonos Bridge and a Sonos Connect:amp.  I am able to re utilize those products by running a split system but this leaves me with no way to drive my in-wall surround speakers.  I was counting on using the connect:amp to do this.  I am also unable to run my Velodyne Sub which I am willing to leave out of the system for now.  It appears to me, this is not possible.  I find myself in a frustrating position without having surround sound and feel quite abandoned by Sonos.  I know some of my components are old but that is why I have tried to invest in high quality product.  I never looked at it as a “rental agreement” with Sonos.  As a worst case, it looked like I might be able to receive a 30% credit toward

My Sonos Arc, keeps resetting or restarting.  It is random, and can happen every few hours or every 30 seconds.  I have replaced the power cable, but still have the same problem. It happens when it is connected to my TV system (via the hdmi arc), and happens when I'm listening to Spotify or the radio. Any idea's?

Hi, Dolby Atmos is now not showing in the S2 app anymore. I’m using Netflix from my Sony KD-65XH9005, it was working before and had the name in the tv bit but recently it’s just saying 5.1its also stopped saying it when I’m watching football in UHD on sky sports, it did say it in the app the as well.  

Hello,   Just enjoying our new MOVEs (is that the correct plural?). In the app, I can add CBC radio, and I can get all the CBC radio stations.  Except that sometimes, a bunch of them are missing.  Including Ottawa (where I live) and Toronto, and everything east of Sudbury west of Quebec City. I have added two speakers, and installed the app on two phones.  It seems to be the same on both.  If I look under CBC radio right now, Ottawa (and others) are not there; they definitely were there before.  In fact I added CBC Ottawa to “My Sonos” and it is still there, but “unable to play the selected item”. Just for comparison, I have been listening to CBC radio over the internet and from the CBC app for years now and it has always been there.

Hi,  I was trying to move my Sonos One SL after setup from my desk to living room , now it doesn’t turn on when I reconnect .I don’t see any light on the top.  I just bought this today from bestbuy. I have tried the hard reboot holding the connect  button , rebooted the router. any help appreciated. thanks 

hi all,I have just switched home broadband to Three’s 5G service. In switching WiFi services to the new setup I have gone through the requested steps but when I plug one of the Sonos One’s into the router via ethernet cable, it simply doesn’t recognise it. I can see it’s connected when I jump into the router settings on my browser (though this happens sporadically).I called support who said I should speak to Three about changing the router settings. This included splitting the channels into both 2.4 and 5Ghz with WPA2 security. I’ve done that now but still nothing.FYI, I have a Playbase and two Ones set up in one room. I have since tried connecting the router to the Playbase as well without any luck.I saw another post about changing the 2Ghz bandwith to 20Mhz and the Channel to 6 (see screenshot) but no dice.Any help would be enormously appreciated! 

Hi all,My Move just randomly stops playing music. I have a Beam, a few One G2s and a Boost - they are all working fine. I know the Move and Boost can’t talk to each other. I have an extender which is In Use for my system. Am using Channel 11.  The Move sometimes plays and sometimes doesn’t it’s completely random. I can see it on the app, it shows that it is playing music as in the little music bars are going up and down - sorry for my non-tech language but hope you know what I mean!Touch controls on the Move work - if I hit Pause it will Pause the whole system even though music isn’t playing on it. Have submitted diagnostics 1074554245.Any help would be greatly appreciated, I love my Sonos but this is starting to give me the irks. Thanks!Petie

Depuis le passage de Google Play Music dans Sonos à Youtube music dans Sonos. Je me retrouve avec une application qui ne me permet plus de profiter correctement de mon abonnement YTM. En effet, il n'y a plus de recherches par genre, humeur ect. alors que c'était fonctionnel avec GPM. Aussi, désormais le cast depuis l'application officielle de Youtube music vers les enceintes Sonos n'existe plus. J'ai l'impression qu'en tant que client Sonos je paye les pots cassés entre Google et Sonos Je ne comprends pas que Sonos qu'il y a clairement une réduction du service de YTM sur son application comparé à l'appli officielle de Google ou même en comparant avec l'ancienne intégration de GPM dans Sonos. Sonos quand allez vous résoudre ce problème et permettre de retrouver les classifications genre, humeur ect.. dans l'appli sonos avec Youtube music ?

My sonos app is not able to connect with spotify and it says “unable add songs to queue.” In addition, my speakers and amp keep getting disconnected (i.e. I don’t see them on my app.) I don’t want to keep unplugging and replugging in my amps.    Rupali
