I have my system updates set to “update automatically” and in the 2 hour morning window. Will I be notified when an update has been applied to my system? Am I better to check for updates manually?

Hi, I am aware that there are multiple Samsung remote issues on these forums, but I believe mine may be distinct. Last night, my Beam suddenly stopped working w/ the Samsung TV. After factory resetting the beam, unplugging the TV for 60 seconds, and then setting everything up anew, it is working again. However, starting tonight, my remote (similar to the one pictured here) won’t control the TV volume (though the Sonos app will). This had worked fine for months and even did last night after I redid the setup. What’s especially strange is that when I hit volume up/down/mute on the remote, the normal popup that an “HDMI” volume change is underway pops up on the screen, so it is receiving some command, the volume just never changes. Any ideas? Thank you for your help.

I had Apple Music added and deleted it because I was having issues with it playing music. When I try to readd the service it just opens my Apple Music app and nothing happens. Things I tried so far is reinstalling the Sonos app, tried adding it through my macOS (not allowed)

Hello All, new to the Sonos community here. I am wanting to play music in my “upstairs group” which consists of two echo dots and a recently added Sonos Arc however, I am unable to do so. I did see, a few years ago, where this feature was unavailable (it was either one or the other -SONOS group OR ALEXA devices Group but not both) and was wondering if anything has changed? Thank you III advance. Mark

When I run the Spotify application on my Windows 10 laptop it (almost) never finds my Sonos speakers. When I start the Spotify app on my Android or Apple phone it immediately shows all available devices. When I start the Sonos app on my laptop it also finds the Sonos speakers within a second. All my devices are on the same wifi network and same vlan. The problem seems to be in the Spotify Windows client. Or is it something in the Sonos system?

I have successfully added the mixcloud music service to Sonos. How do I play a mixcloud live stream? If I follow a mixcloud user, I can see them in the Sonos App:Mixcloud > My Profile > Following > {mixcloud user} > StreamHowever, all I see is ‘No selections are available’Is mixcloud live stream supported in the Sonos Mixcloud Music Service?

I’ve tried Google Music, Youtube Music, and Spotify. What is the best music vendor to use on Sonos so I don’t have to worry if someone else is listening to music in another room?

Sonos newbie here. So I have a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon turntable and a preamp that I would like to set up with a pair of Fives for stereo sound. Is it possible to hardwire both or do I just use a rca to 3.5mm to one of the Fives and then couple the 2nd Five using the software?  Greatul for any advice here!

Hi I know this has been asked many times before but it always seems to be in one direction. Now I have my HiFi system with record deck and CD player feeding into an integrated amp (NAD C 368). This drives two pairs of passive speakers. What I want to do is link my HiFi amplifier into Sonos so I can play my vinyl and CDs through my Sonos set up. All the other posts seem to be bringing Sonos into the HiFi or missing the HiFi amplifier out and connecting the record desk direct to Connect. I don't want to do this as I want to retain the record deck playing through the passive speakers in one room - which is much better quality than sonos, but want to be able to switch the HiFi output into Sonos around the rest of my house. My HiFi amplifier has a Pre-out. Maybe it is obvious but its a little unclear to me - can I just feed this into the Port or do I need the Amp?(stupidly I just upgraded to Sonos 2 and this stopped my exiting Connect:AMP from working as I think this may have been a solution!

I have an older PLAY5 plus two PLAY 1s and a BEAM and just  took delivery  of a new PLAY5  to be compatible with S2   I thought I could play all the  new compatible stuff with S2 but then switch back to S1 to include my new PLAY5 . S1 now says the Play 1s and the Beam is incompatible and can only use the old PLAY5 as a stand alone. Is this right as it is now what I previously read?

I have home with built in speakers throughout home in ceilings. I have Connect and output wires going to speakers and it shows playing thru the app but no sound. Do I also need a receiver going into the Connect as a Line in to hear the music?  Or can it just play trough the app and the WiFi. Thanks for any guidance.

Watching the new series of Dark Materials on BBC iPlayer in UHD this evening through the iPlayer app on my LG Nano TV. I'm definitely getting really good surround sound through the rear speakers connected to my Arc, but the system says Stereo PCM 2.0. I am confused!! Any ideas?

I have a My Cloud Home setup and have connected it to the Sonos Desktop Controller on my MacBook Pro. Most of the music files read fine and are in the correct order but one folder is completely out of order. Can anyone suggest what might be the issue and how I can fix it? I am attaching a picture of what I see when I go into the album folder. I have other album folders that have files numbered the exact same way and they read absolutely fine. It’s really starting to drive me up the wall.Any advice would be appreciated.

Can the SONOS Amp power the non-active KEF LS50 speakers sufficiently? Anyone has experience? https://international.kef.com/products/ls50

I have read various posts on here suggesting that it does not really matter where a sub goes since the sound is not directional … but I have a question: is it possible to be too close to my Arc? The sub itself is a work of art, so I want to display it prominently … but I’m worried that the space I have in mind is too close to the Arc and that it might impede the Arc.

I recently uninstalled and re-installed the Sono desktop controller - the reason being is that the displayed playlist did not reflec the playlist I have setup in iTunes. Specifically I now have under imported playlists, 11 (eleven) instances of a playlist called “downloaded”. There is no such playlist setup in iTunes! The contents of these playlist include non-playable songs (“Unable to play, the saher does not exists”) Its is pointing to an old share which is no longer in use.Is there anything I can do to solve this annoying problem?ThanksEd

I know there are similar threads but cant seem to find an answer :(After my girlfriend moved in we now have a spare playbar we just want to use as a speaker.I can reset it and see it in the app but keeps asking me to setup as connected to a TVHow do I get around this?

Hi all,Hope everyone is safe and healthy!  I just got my Sonos arc and I am in market to buy a new TV. I understand not all TVs are compatible with Sonos to give the best experience. Can you please recommend a few tv models which work well with Sonos? There is no constraint on budget. I was thinking to get any TV with eArc, but seems like that alone also won’t solve the problem.

Hi,I have recently purchased the Sonos Arc, w/sub & 4 one SL. The electronics store that I purchased it from guaranteed that I would be able to connect the Sonos to this projector and everything they sold me I’ve had nothing but issues. I have checked the forums here and have found this product as a highly recommended product. Below is also the link to the spec sheet of my projector. https://hdfury.com/product/4k-arcana-18gbps/https://www.projectorcentral.com/pdf/projector_spec_8947.pdfI have set up as per directions of the arcana product, and when I go to the TV Setup in the Sonos app the app does not detect any signal from eArc to set up the Sonos with the projector. The video for the projector flows through the device properly but the audio does not.  Am I missing something here?

So, I feel really silly asking this, but:  I can’t find the radio station on S2 that’s been curated by Bjork. The only curated stations that appear in my Sonos Radio > Sonos Presents section of S2 are those by Thom Yorke, Ludwig Goransson, Brittany Howard, Third Man Records, and Full Spectrum/Pride.Am I missing something obvious? Are there limitations based on country? (I’m in Canada). Is the Bjork “station” actually just part of Sonos Sound System (in which case: where do you find the schedule for that station?). I’m probably missing something obvious. But: I’m also not an idiot. You’d think something this major (from a marketing perspective) would be a lot clearer. (I.e. just trying to figure out what Sonos Sound System is, as a station, has been a challenge).Any help would be appreciated.

Tried unplugging my speaker, then router, and plugging speaker back in after router rebooted, as suggested on this forum. Sonos app on phone stuck at ‘Searching for nearby products, make sure they’re powered on….’ and doesn’t see my Soundbars. So frustrating as this happens every time I loose power.  Other devices seem to connect fine when power comes back on except for my Sonos products. Sound bar is not near my router so connecting directly via ethernet cable is not an option.

Pascal M

The vocal is very soft and when the surround comes in the police will knock my door . the center volume is very Low on the arc

Connect Amp and TV line-in

Just got an ARC and 2 One SLs as surrounds. The Arc is connected via Ethernet and the SLs via WiFi.  The SLs keep disappearing from the app and trying to set them up as surrounds shows an error on the app and then presets them as connected. When trying to play surround move or to calibrate true sound the surround speakers do not respond or cannot be found. The WiFi reception near the speaker is very good. Diagnostic number: 1562118009 Thanks for helping, this is highly frustrating.
