Playbar just as a speaker

I know there are similar threads but cant seem to find an answer :(

After my girlfriend moved in we now have a spare playbar we just want to use as a speaker.

I can reset it and see it in the app but keeps asking me to setup as connected to a TV

How do I get around this?

Can you connect it to your TV just to complete the setup process, then disconnect it and move it to your desired location?

The TV setup process will fail but you should be able to abort at that point.
