Hi All, just want to share my experience with you how frustrated it was to connect my Panasonic Viera TH-L50ET60A with Sonos Beam soundbar. I have HDMI ARC as port 2 in my Panasonic TV, but Sonos app kept saying can’t connect via HDMI ARC to my TV with its original HDMI cable. I had the “Viera Link = On” and “Viera Link set to Home Theatre” everything works on my TV side. At the end, I had to change to a different HDMI cable to replace the one from Sonos and it worked without any issues.Why would Sonos provide a faulty HDMI cable, I cannot expect it for this price. Most people on the internet has experienced the same issue. Hope they can provide a better cable in the future. 

Hi all,I’m now on my second Sonos Beam. Occasionally from dialogue the speaker would buzz, like it was blown. I didn’t get much help from support so I sold it on eBay and bought another one.The second one I’ve had for two months and it’s now doing the same thing.They can’t be this badly built, surely? It’s never been above 50% volume ever and is only used for TV with two One’s in surround.This doesn’t happen every day, but does happen often, where dialogue causes a buzzing distortion sound. It lasts a millisecond or so but is very annoying.Has anybody else had this problem?What’s the solution? 

Hi folks,All of a sudden I'm having all kinds of issues with sound, I can't be 100% sure if it's the tv or the sonos but I'm having issues with no sound at all sometimes, usually fixed by turning the tv off & on, though this morning I had to turn 'pass through' off & on again. Now I'm not getting 5.1 through Netflix, it's definitely a 5.1 source but all I'm getting is stereo pcm, I've tried all settings I can think off but nothing works. The beam is connected by eARC

Announcement of the new Sonos external speakers (made by Sonance for Sonos to be sold as a Sonos branded product) has the hidden tidbit that with this setup Truplay will work to tune the speakers attached to the Amp. There is mention of automatically detecting the signature of the Sonos-specific Sonance speakers. This sounds like a DRM to purposely prevent Truplay from working with any other 3rd party speakers connected to the AMP - including standard Sonance speakers already sold and being sold. Is there any technical reason or is this a marketing ploy to push the new Sonos/Sonance speakers as "better" for Sonos Amp? I think allowing Truplay with any speakers attached to the Amp would be more customer friendly. All existing AVR receivers with sound correction work with any attached speaker since most AVR makers don't make any speakers they obviously assume the customer will be choosing their own brand of speakers.

Is there any way to make the touch controls on the top of the beam work? Toggling the Touch Controls on/off doesn’t make a difference, I’m never able to play/pause or change the volume when playing music. My voice control also isn’t working and the mic button won’t respond, but that may be something separate. Thanks!

I’m trying to fix this issue that has had all the basic troubleshooting attempts without any change. Whilst streaming Dolby Atmos audio from Netflix, the sound will randomly drop out all together after approximately  20-30 minutes. The only fix is to rewind a few seconds and reload the video - which then allows another 20-30 minutes until it drops again.   I’m streaming via the internal Netflix app on my SonyA8H using a 48gbps HDMI cable from my EARC connection through to my Sonos ARC.  The Sonos system info will say Audio In: Silence when this happens. My diagnostic confirmation number is 644717621. Any help would be greatly appreciated, can’t work out any other troubleshooting ideas.

Hello, I've been a Sonos user for more than 6 years. I've recently bought a brand new ARC. I could set it up when I bought it, it was working fine connected to my Wi-Fi but 10 days ago it started disconnecting from the Wi-Fi. I have in the same Wi-Fi network 4 other sonos devices working without any issues. When I connect ARC to the router with ethernet cable it works fine. I rebooted all the other Sonos devices, Reset the ARC to factory reset and configured it again, I read all the articles related but I still have the Isse. Please help!!Suddenly is like ARC is not compatible with the other devices anymore through the wi-fi Diagnostic number is: 722602688 Also I’m unable to submit a ticket to the Sonos support, https://support.sonos.com/s/?language=en_US#contact  is not showing any form / submit block..?

Hi, I bought a Beam about 2 months ago, linked to my Sony KDL-32W705C (up to date software), through HDMI Arc. Into the TV I have Roku, Virgin Tivo V6 & PS3 for Blu-Ray, all connected via HDMI.A couple of days ago I bought 2 Symfonisk bookshelf speakers, and they linked up no problem.Today, I have been playing around trying to get Dolby Digital sorted, but no joy. I have set all options to what seem to be the correct ones, but no joy.When watching through any of the above devices, all that shows as being inputted to the Beam is PCM Stereo 2.0, never DD.After reading many, many similar threads, adjusting all the settings, I tried watching something on the TV itself, not an attached device, and I was getting DD2.0.This is very frustrating, and I sincerely want to get it sorted. I’d appreciate any help very much, thank you!

I have a new Beam that I am trying to connect to 2 x Ones.I think I have followed the instructions correctly, i.e.:Under Products, I choose my Beam I click ‘+ Set Up Surrounds’However, this is where I get stuck and keep getting the same message:‘Two compatible Sonos speakers are required to add surrounds. Make sure your products are powered on and connected to WiFi’The speakers are patently powered on and connected. I can play music through the two of the separately, but cannot for the life of me get them to connect. Any advice?

Hi there , I wonder if someone can help with the atmos through Apple TV or other sources ,when I play directly from my tv eg. Netflix and other streaming service it does play atmos , but when I play the same film on Apple TV it doesn’t and is the same film ? hdmi and everything is connected properly, don’t understand 

There is an option to allow passthrough on my Sony bravia kd48a9.  Should I enable this for the arc?

I want to hook up Sonos Arc soundbar and my in-ceiling speakers vía Sonos Amp to my tv. Which one do I connect to my arc connection at the tv? how does the other one hook up to the system to play the tv?

Hey all!We purchased in home 6 years ago with an awesome theater set up with built in ceiling and wall speakers. It came with a 110” Screen Innovations Zero Edge Pro Fixed projector screen with fancy LEDs around the edge and a really nice Epson 3D projector.Fast forward 6 years and we have moved cross county and brought the screen and Epson projector with us with the hopes of installing it at our new house.However, we don’t want to put holes in the ceiling and walls and run wiring for speakers, so we decided to go with a Sonos Arc, Sub, and a pair of One SL speakers.After much research, we came to the conclusion the the Arc would just not work with the Epson projector, and we also didn’t really want to put a hole in the ceiling and run wires to the projector anyway. We were planning selling the projector and screen and buy a large TV with eArc, BUT my husband discovered the Optoma CinemaX P2 Ultra Short Throw projector and HDFury Arcana HDMI converter yesterday. I just connected a Sonos arc to an lg Oled TV. The Sonos seems to be connected to my system. I’m able to play music and pair with my One SL but it’s not playing audio from my tv. It’s connected to the HDMI arc port. I’ve unplugged, reset my tv, etc. What am I doing wrong? Has anyone come across this?

If I use my Amp with wiredspeakers as the front speakers connected to my TV input, will a Sonos sound bar and subwoofer, attached non-wired to the Sonos system, be in sync with the wired speakers?

Two of my Sonos One speakers are functioning as the two rear speakers in the home cinema setting. Now I am looking for a 100% wired setup (no wireless communication at all). However, although I have checked the option “no wifi” in the app for both the Arc and the surround speakers, and I have an ethernet connection for all speakers in place, there is still a wireless connection between the arc and the surround speakers. If I disconnect the ethernet cables from the rear speakers, their is still surround sound coming out of the speakers. I guess it is through SonosNet.Is it possible to remove SonosNet and create a 100% wired setting between Arc and Surround speakers?Thanks a lotPeter-Netherlands-

Hi all,I have a 55” TCL television.In my Living Room, I have a Sonos Soundbar, a Sub, and 2x Play 1’s for left/right surround.I am feeding the Soundbar with a TOSlink cable.The issue is, I cannot control the volume of the system with the TCL remote. (It only does the TV’s speakers)I can use the Sonos app on my phone but want to have a solution for any family member who is watching TV, to control volume easily.Can someone recommend a remote that I could purchase?Thanks in advance.-GC

I recently got my Sonos Arc and Sub. But my Samsung UE50J6240 isn’t always sending threw the audio to the Arc. I have the Sonos Arc connected on the HDMI ARC port. And I got it working when I installed the Sonos ARC. But when I turn the the TV off and on again then it will not connect to the Arc. I have to psychically shut down the tv (disconnect the power plug from the socket). When I turn the tv on again then it will connect to the Sonos Arc and send threw the audio.Is there something I can do? I want the TV to send the sound threw HDMI ARC when I turn it on and the put the Sonos Arc on the TV source.I tried changing the sound output on the TV to receiver when it’s not sending. Then it will try to connect to the receiver (ARC) but eventually it won’t send any audio. I tried searching on the tv for HDMI-CEC /Anynet+ devices. But no result.Thanks in advance!

I have a Sony X9500H and a Sonos Arc. I want to buy a 4K disk player - what’s my best option for Dolby Atmos compatibility and in general?The TV has an eArc input. Any suggestions would be super helpful as I don’t want to buy a dud and not get to enjoy the best sound I can.

Had the Sonos Arc working for a month without any issues using hdmi arc3 on a Sony tv.  Randomly today it dropped a the sound and no longer plays tv audio.  music services etc all work without any issues.  no tv Audi. app shows a fault in the hdmi setup.  connected multiple cables. Nothing. Rebooted nothing.
