Mounted the new Sonos Arc yesterday … sound is amazing. That said, the Arc replaced a Sonos Playbar that fit nicely just under the 75 inch Samsung TV allowing optical and power cable to be pretty much hidden behind the TV itself. Now with the new set up I have a 4 inch gap between the TV and the new Arc with the two cables (power and HDMI) hanging down from the TV to the Arc. As users know the Arc has a specialized flush magnetic mount plate which is pretty slim … so I’ve looked online for solutions but not sure any would work work well with the Arc and be hidden and aesthetically acceptable. Can anyone suggest a workable wall plate or other solution to hide the cables running around 4-5 inches from the TV to the Arc?

A surface mounted cable run would be the easy way. Using a pair of cable pass-throughs cut into the wall would be the most invisible. These should get you started:

Hi. It’s definitely possible to blend & hide, I’ve cut 2 sections of trunking, painted to match the wall & unit as much as possible.
I had a similar issue and had to chop 4 inches of wall to hide the cables, fill and then paint. Better to do it properly and be happy
Be aware it is against code to run any electrical extensions or power cords in a wall. You need to run romex and place a receptacle behind the Arc. Something along those liines. Ensure to check your local building codes.

Hi Paul, I’ve got a similar problem and you seem to have solved it! Question for you, how many cables are running behind the Arc? I’m looking at the official mount for mine but would have to then have 3 x HDMI, 1 x Power and 1 x network cable “compressed” between it and the wall. Is it do-able?
Is that some D-Line trunking you have behind the ARC there? Is that the official wall mound? What size trunking is it, is it the Maxi (50mm W x 25mm H)?
I used this cable kit, which claims to be to electrical code.
It was a tight fit behind the drywall and insulation on the exterior wall I mounted it on, but it looks good and the trim should be fully covered up by the Arc whenever it finally arrives.
