BTW, SONOS ARC with the sub is best investment I’ve ever made.  funny, I’m watching Mission Impossible: Fallout on FX….and the sound with the bass on the Wendy’s commercial sounds better than the movie. Some channels just suck

Hi EveryoneJust recieved my Arc and very impressed with it as my first piece of sonos equipment, so much so that I have two One Sl's and flexson mounts on the way.Just looking for some advice  regarding surrounds height and angle, my main seating position is in the middle of the sofa (the sofa is right against the wall) im thinking of putting the surrounds were the two red marks are and angling them slightly towards the tv. Any suggestions? T.I.A 

I cannot get the sound from stingray music to play on my new sonos  system. Sound is on all other channels.

Anyone else ordered a sub from sonos website and still waiting just about to hit 6 months no communication from sonos have to keep contacting them and everytime get told in a few days will be dispatched been given at least 10 different dates. So just want to see if anyone else are having the same issues ?

Suddenly started after latest update. When playing TV all speakers buzz loudly. It does not happen whilst playing music.. only whilst playing TV. System working perfectly prior to this.. initially started with play bar only, now all 6 speakers buzz. Not sure how to resolve it

I am having trouble pairing Beam to Shaw remote x11. The LG OLED tv sound is coming through the Beam but I can not get the Beam to power up / down and control volume with the Shaw remote. The codes provided by Shaw box have not worked to pair the Beam. At this stage the TV is paired to Shaw box but I have to use the TV remote to adjust volume.

Setup: beam and 2 OneSL’s as surround products. I don’t always want to use the system in surround mode, so toggle the surround setting to off - simple. However, doing so changes the status lights on the OneSL’s to flashing green - which is kinda annoying. The issue though, is that the OneSL status light still flashes even when status lights settings are toggled to off!  Any suggestions to overcome this? Am I missing something? 

New to this forum. Greatly appreciate your guidance. I recently purchased a Sonos Arc and two Ikea/Sonos bookshelf speakers for surround on my Samsung Smart TV 6-series.   I already have an older Sony Subwoofer which connects via Bluetooth.  Is there any way to add it to my system? Or is there a way to directly connect using optical audio or another option?

I have an Arc on order.  I am about to order a new TV and wondered if this issue has now been fixed or are there some TV brands to steer away from?  

I'm using Chromecast with Google TV with a Sony Bravia TV and a Sonos Beam. Using Chromecast's remote settings, I've set up the volume +/- keys for controlling the Beam's volume. Technically, this works. But then, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, it stops working. I can restart Chromecast and nothing changes. The only way to fix this is to restart the Beam (unplugging its power chord and plugging it in again). Then everything is working again, for some time at least (anything between half an hour and a couple of hours).I initially thought it had to do with that I used a different audio source with the Beam - but it also stops working while simply watching TV. It is extremely annoying.Does anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance.

HelloI haven’t found any real world responses in the community regarding using dual Sonos subs. That said here is my take on the subject. I’m not going to provide information on how to properly position Sonos dual subs as I believe Peter Pee does an excellent job of explaining how to get the best listening experience. You can listen to his recommendations on the subject at this link .Basic components: Arc, Beam, Playbar, Playbase or Sonos Amp bonded to a Sonos Gen3 sub and then adding a second Sonos Gen2 or Gen3. For ease of setup assuming you have a Sonos Gen2 sub already I recommend removing it, add the Sonos Gen 3 and re-add the Gen2.Straight away let me say that using dual subs is AWESOME.  IMO what you should expect is not a lot of increased volume. What you will get is a more immersive experience. Hi  I just bought the Sonos ARC and Sub Gen 3 and went through the set up process and tuning with my iPhone.  The bass sounds great but the dialogue is very weak.   Will be there an upcoming software fix for this?  I’m debating whether to return before the 15 days…  your guidance will help with my decision 

Hi I’m a little frustrated here and I can’t believe this is how the “system” is supposed to work. I have an Epson projector (no internal speaker) coupled with an Apple TV 4k. Up until recently I hardwired my stereo to the projector and everything was rosy. Last week I bought a Sonos 1 Gen 2 to use for the audio and it’s been ridiculously frustrating. I connect to the speaker using the control center on Apple TV and picking the speaker. Frequesntly I have trouble connecting the speaker to the Apple TV and when I do there are several issues (everything is fully updated): 1)No system clicks from the Apple TV. It’s completely silent until I start playing a video or watching something. 2)The volume control is erratic. Sometimes it connects fine sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it shows the volume graphic on the screen sometimes it doesn’t. 3)Today I tried playing a game, Asphalt 8, and there isn’t any sound at all even though the sound when playing a video from Netflix, for example, works fi

Okay I have a Sony TV with an arc HDMI port. I recently bought the Sonos ARC and an UHD Blueray player with  two outputs a separate video and an audio output. I can connect the Sonos ARC to the HDMI arc port and the BD video output to a TV HDMI port. Where do i connect the BD audio output to. I have a three port switch. At the moment I am not getting Dolby Atmos sound from any of the Blueray discs that have Dolby Atmos printed on the cover. A simple sketch would be appreciated.

My TV is an lg-OLED55B7V, my Arc is plugged in to the hdmi-arc. Issue is that I get occasional micro-stutter, like a half second break, every now and then, whenever Audio In displays as Dolby Atmos (DD+).it's not consistent or repeatable. I can watch an entire episode of Briderton on Netflix and it's perfect, re-watch the same and there is the stutter. Sometimes it seems to start stuttering only after I skip scenes.Expanse Season 4 on Amazon seems especially bad, but again I can re-watch episodes or scenes and the experience is different.I struggle with the notion that the TV isn't passing the audio correctly as I can get through whole shows with no stutter. I have various audio out options but none of them seem to make a difference. In a different menu I can select PCM instead of Auto, but then it drops to 2 channel.Understand the True-HD codec needs eArc, but questions please:a) how can I find out the codec in use by the source at any one timeb) why does Netflix detect that I'm Atmos

Sony Bravia KDL-60NX720 connected to the Beam will send audio to the beam only if I use an app within the TV such as Pandora.  I get no audio from either a cable box or a Fire TV Cube.   Both are connected to the TV using HDMI cables.  I get the same results whether I use the TV HDMI ARC to the Beam or the digital audio cable with adapter to HDMI in the Beam.  I feel like I've tried every setting in the TV settings and I'm getting no results.  Diagnostics when sound is coming from Pandora app in the TV using digital audio is 801032938.  Diagnostics with no sound when playing YouTube from the Fire TV Cube is 1960275942.  Diagnostics with no sound from cable box is 484444563.  Switching cable to the Sonos supplied HDMI cable and cable box input still no sound, test code is 681063180.  Any suggestions?

Setup: LG CX 55, Sonos Arc, 2 x One SLI’m experiencing random audio drops, or quietens, on my Arc. I have the status light disabled but, when the sound drops, the status light comes on for the duration. It usually lasts less than a second and then audio returns to normal.After much searching, I’ve tried everything suggested to resolve this (quality HDMI cables, rebooting everything etc). Currently, the Arc is wired into the network (the One SLs using WiFi), and the CX is connected to the Arc via eARC. All software/firmware is up to date.I thought that perhaps Alexa was picking up something that sounded like it’s wake word, but it’s definitely not this.Has anyone else seen this specific issue, or does anyone know how to stop this? I’m guessing most people have the status light on, and so wouldn’t see the white light coming on briefly?Thanks in advance...

So I think there is an issue with the arc while in eARC mode and lip sync while playing LPCM content  I have tested on an LG C9, Sony 900H and a Sony A8H.  On all of them when my Apple TV is set to LPCM output, I get lip sync issues on some content. If I change it to Dolby Digital or get the Sony to convert to DD+ it’s in sync.  it seems like there is an issue with the lip sync compensation that eARC is supposed to have when using LPCM. 

Hello, I am getting the following error when I try to add my Sonos One SL I purchased today to my ARC + Sub Gen 3. “There was a problem adding your surrounds”. My network is Ubiquiti (router is UDM Pro, the APs are FlexHD). All my devices are in the same VLAN.I have reseted the SL speakers and adding them to my account again, adding as surround multiple times, restated all my network devices, restarted my ARC and Sub.  Nothing has worked at all when I am trying to add them to my ARC.The One SL did join the WIFI and I can stream music to them individually (using AirPlay for example).My ARC and SUB gen 3 are connected by Ethernet. Both of the Sonos One SL are setup wireless. Also, after trying to join both speakers and getting that error, it does list them as surround but it doesn’t really work. Here is my diagnostic confirmation number: 1540609632 I grabbed the diagnostic right after the failure.

The Sound disapears periodically on a LG tv (not the Oled your other answer relates to). sound is connected through hdmi-arc. help! Really annoying on a new product. 

Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for sonos 1 placement as rear speakers in the living room setup pictured.  Ceilings are 3m high and the room extends to the left of the listening position a few meters more than what is pictured, meaning that the home theater setup is a few meters off center in the room left to right.  I imagine the placement in the kitchen (B)  being better for music filling the room, but are they too far away from the sofa, and too close to the ceiling and walls?  

I have a Playbar and a Beam.  But I ALWAYS play the same thing on all my TV’s (I have 5 but use Sonos as my sound for all of them).   But if I turn on the TV with the Beam and the TV with the Playbar, the “Group” function is disrupted and I have 2 groups.  I can put them back to one group but I have to pick the source.   Unfortunately, they both say TV Input.  Why can’t I rename them or why can’t it list the room the TV Input it located?   I can see this if I look on my Mac but not from my phone.

I have a BenQ HT2050A digital projector that will be mounted in the back of room projecting onto a wall.  I have the Sonos Arc, subwoofer, and two of 1 SL speakers.  The plan is also to run, cable box, Apple TV, and Nintendo Switch to the projector.  So how do you connect all this and use the wireless feature of Sonos?  Is that possible?  I have done some research on buying a receiver and they can be pretty pricey. Is that what I need to do or is there another option to make this work?  Thanks.

I currently have a playbar, 2 play1s for L and R, and 2 play1s for rear and it works well.I am moving and in my new house I plan on having a theater room with 2 rows of theater style seats.I would like to add play1s behind each row for the rear channel.Is it possible to have 4 play1s for the rear channel?Maybe 6 play1s if I decide to expand?

My Sonos Arc connected to Sony Bravia TV (new and earc capable, drops sound randomly. Appears to be a known issue neither Sonos or Sony care much about. After a month of this happening I must say I am totally over this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will Sonos or Sony acknowledge the issue!!!!!!!!??????? Unlikely 🤔. Ok how about fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
